Would Runescape still be here without Fan-sites?
Should have reworded myself better. It's the FANS that make Runescape so popular today. Whether or not it's those internet/irl group or fansites, there are fans everywhere that will spread word of the game. Without these fans, Runescape won't be so successful, and would probably be another one of those obscure Java games. Of course fansites just add to this fan popularity factor. I'm in the same boat as Zaaps, if it wasn't for fansites I would probably play way less, and have far less knowledge of the game, best methods, etc. What I DO agree on though, is that fansites are not the starting source of Runescape's popularity. There has to be something else before fansites... what that "something else" is though, we may never know what that is.

Capital in F2P is useless?
The higher you train your f2p skills, the better xp/hr you get while dungeoneering. This becomes very noticeable in the higher levels of dg. This is an indisputable fact. By no means are high f2p skill levels miniscule.

The Rollback Cover-up
A simple permanent ban would suffice. No need to reveal credit card data, that would just make Jagex look even worse. Do you want people putting Jagex in the name of "credit card bandit"?

Favourite thread of 2010?
This and this. Nothing else really stands out to me imo.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Drop trading should be done (but in an open area of course) for all items EXCEPT stackables, unless you don't plan on using them. Jagex should implement "Drop-x" for stackables in dung for easy droptrading of laws/cosmics/etc.

Capital in F2P is useless?
All combat skills: PvP + Fist of Guthix + dungeoneering. Runecrafting: GOP. Dungeoneering: Rewards + resource dungeons. Pretty much all other skills: dungeoneering. If you exclude dungeoneering... yea... I guess you're right xD Skills are still useful when you cannot become a member for a certain amounts of time though. Sure they may not be the most useful options, but they are not useless by any means.

New grave
I just realized how HORRIBLE this nested display in dungeoneering is. It doesn't even group all the food together in one pile... because of this I actually DIED from the barrage of monster attacks. If it wasn't for this nested menu, I would have had my LP healed up in time. Jagex, please return the old pickup menus and crap.

The Rollback Cover-up
That would be a REALLY nice idea  though I think a bank wipe would fit better for this situation. As for Jagex, it's about time you made this confirmation. Now start the perm banning already.

Would Runescape still be here without Fan-sites?
You know, I'm starting to think if it wasn't for fansites, Runescape wouldn't be this popular. It's because of sites like Tipit and the Wiki that Runescape is so popular today. That and people who spread about it irl. So really, it's the FANS that keep it alive. Myself, I have personally never heard about Runescape until someone told me about it. I bet many others are in the same situation as well.

Efficient firemaking
You can do Fist of Guthix as well. Say the fm line is 27 spaces, the banker will always be somewhere in the middle zone. You can't really teleport, but it's less clicking and it's on your fm pathway as well  my personal favorite place to fm.

School
I found out about my history grade in class today, it was a 89.78%. However, my teacher said he would round it up to 90%, but Gradequick always rounds down for some reason. He says it's because I'm an active contributor to the class, and because of this participation he thinks I deserve an A- more than a B+. Hellz yeah  (even though I wouldn't mind either way.)

The F2P General Discussion Thread
I agree, while really only 1 teammate should be focusing on the boss (rest on rooms), it doesn't hurt to have others help you out in the fight. Also with luminescent icefiend, he doesn't kill you with its spec, so just tank the icicle damage and eat right after.

Capital in F2P is useless?
Isn't having lots of cash in f2p a good thing? Preparation for members, money to use on buyables, as well as PvP? It's not useless in any way. If anything it would be MORE useful seeing how much more expensive certain skills in f2p are compared to the p2p counterparts.

Dungeoneering XP formula
As far as I know/heard, the lower combat you are, the more xp you get, surprisingly. lvl 3's get like 3k more xp than lvl 126's (as shown in my link).

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Ahh, I see why people prefer clearing everything. But then there's protection prayers for the keyer. The rest of the teammates can focus on room clearing. I find that I don't really take that much damage while keying, the only time I have EVER died is when there's a dragon next door and I wasn't paying attention. Or if I get too chitchatty :P Dropped dusk eels from cleared gd's or easy monsters are sufficient healing even at my level. Luring the monsters into parts where they can't reach you also helps. In rooms with other doors in them, I always try to trap all the melee monsters in one of those rooms if it's not a gd. That way people don't get hurt ;) you can do range/mage monsters trapped this way as well, but it's tougher to perform. I'm not against clearing rooms of monsters or anything, it's just that there has to be a point where dungeon speed and safety comes together in a balance. But rushing is pure awesome to me though. Since it's harder and riskier to do in f2p, it contributes to the fun factor :D Oh well just me I guess. I don't really have a high combat so I can't solo clear rooms or solo bosses in a team yet. And w7'ers don't know how to gate? That's pretty sad actually... then again I'm not surprised with the average RS population.

No, I DON'T want to talk to Vannaka
It's like this guy who only did c3's in dungeoneering, and refused to move up. He claimed anything above that was "too hard" for him, and that's why he said dg fails. Really, when you actually train a skill correctly, that's when you get the charm out of it. I hated rc at first, but as soon as I heard about the money it makes, as well as GOP, I trained it the best way and loved the skill. Same with just about any other skill.

Wow.
Fire giants can hit 110, and he was unfortunate enough to get hit with a combo of high hits.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Interesting point. However, I'd still like to see one or two people "rush-keying" while everyone else focuses on clearing rooms. At least it makes the dg go faster... goes hand in hand with soloing 5:5 bosses as well. As far as my combat is concerned I always dg with high level combats so I always have the xp penalty when teaming. As with level mod xp, it only comes into greater effect the HIGHER your base experience is, so apart from lack of supply or nothing to do really, there is no reason to worry about level mod.

Dungeoneering XP formula
Are you sure? Abandoned theme has way more monsters you can be protected under your hood than frozen theme. Plus frozen bosses can be annoying (looking at you Astea Frostweb).
-
min level mod
I can confirm -25% in a c1 where I killed nothing w/ no guardian doors.

Wow.
Can divines actually be lost (apart from skulling in pvp)? As for OP, I feel for ya. But during these moments it's just best to trudge on. All of the items you lost (except defender which you should have a spare) are easy to replace if you got the cash, so at least every cloud has a silver lining.
