I would think so since the task is for volcanic creatures and the jad task gives you bonus slayer xp if you defeat him. I used mine when I got one.

It depends on your stats. Maybe list them so people can get a better idea to see what you'd be good at.

I vote for slayer. It's always a combat trainer and once you get into the higher lvls it can be quite the money maker. :thumbup:

Maybe try goblins, dark wizards, or guards?

No it won't help, plus d boots are only an uncommon drop. Not very rare or even rare so you have a pretty good chance of getting them sometime during a trip, depending on how long you stay of course. In a way, but the number of monsters doesn't effect the chance of getting a barrows item though except bolt racks. If you scroll down to "Kill Count" on this page you will see what I mean. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=barrows_guide.htm#attack_plan

Well if your mage att bonus isn't too bad then I'd say just to use that I guess.
