  1. Much love for all your hard work, Low_C. :)
  2. I used to read in this thread like you...but then I took an arrow in the knee. Now you're just a guard of the forums. And you're out reading this thread and what do I get? Guard duty.
  3. I used to read in this thread like you...but then I took an arrow in the knee.
  4. If you want to do them but you don't like the wilderness, then you clearly don't want to do them enough. I don't like pking, I don't like pkers. Yet you don't see me shying away from dangerous activities because the risk is outweighed by the reward. So hopefully you'll understand why I say that complaining about it holds no weight when there's still ways to do some things--or if there isn't, there is compensated reward to make up for the risk. It's a load of rubbish.
  5. I haven't seen this posted yet (and if it was I'm sorry) but I was on the RSOF and saw this: QFC: [qfc]254-255-137-63429281[/qfc]
  6. I hate to break it to you, but you don't have to go into the wilderness to do either of those things. The chaos tunnels have a non-wilderness access point as well as not having to obtain the wilderness penguins. Almost all activities that have you go out in the wilderness have a buffed reward to go along with it. The only exception would be clue scrolls, and that's only because of how old that content is and market trends. You're acting as if the pkers have penned you in and you can't play your game anymore. Chopping a tree? NOPE THERE'S A PKER. Doing a quest? NOPE THERE'S A PKER. Playing Stealing Creation? NOPE THERE'S A PKER. Except...that never happens. Ever. So really, there's not a lot of weight to your complaints. At all. :/
  7. Because they want to. Which is why users like Quyenax have stated that, although it's a well worded topic, it doesn't have much to toss back and forth that hasn't already been distilled down. (Or, if you really want to call it rude, go ahead.) Maybe suited better for a times article, but you get the picture. For the sake of something a mite different, powering through Summoning was the name of the game when it was first released. And in the first week it got a lot of hate against it, instead of obvious love it deserved even without batch 2 and reworks weren't out at that time. I still remember seeing people slayer dart giant rock crabs in the chaos tunnels just to get to the 60s. In that week, billions must've been spent just to gain a measly 1mil exp all for the sake of power-leveling. And that was despite the fact that Jagex came out directly and said, "This is not a skill you will be able to train fast." The skill was never really trained the way they set it up to be, in those early days. It's just wildly impractical to only craft the pouches you'd use to get your levels. If people had, there would be hardly any 99 summoners out there. But eventually people came to their senses and abandoned the rush-frenzy and went back to their day-to-day tasks. I still think that was a hilarious example of how crazily obsessed we can become with power-leveling.
  8. Just in case anyone missed my edit in the first post: the links were checked and were fine (Y) but because they're giving some users false positives we removed them just to save some headaches :P
  9. That's the same error message I would get when the server's software was back on 1.8.
  10. Well I'm sure glad that's straightened out.
  11. I've got to agree with you, and it's a nice idea you don't see talked about very often. I wouldn't mind seeing it happen, personally. I know that I loaded up f2p for my secondary account, Dorelei, and I really missed seeing the level of activity that you see in Al Kharid, Varrock, etc. It would be nice to see that again. Most areas outside of Asgarnia and Misthalin are walled off by "you must be on a Member-Server to <action>" borders anyway. It was always really enticing to me when I saw people in dragon or with flowers or unique capes in f2p. It made me envious, and while it wasn't the deciding factor for me to get members (that would be quests, actually) it really honed my desire for it. It would also push some people out to the lower-leveled yet under-used resource areas instead if f2p members were in the common resource spots. Meaning more content would be used overall, which would be a good thing I think. Or at least I think it would, honestly I haven't thought that far into it. haha The only thing I'd see this to be a problem with would be dungeoneering, since that pretty much got the hard-core shaft in the f2p side. Still...The more i think about your proposal, well, I actually get a little eager to see something like that put into the game o_O They shuffle around servers to suit player need all the time. Why should this be any different?
  12. Then don't go into the wilderness. It's your mindset that has caused the game to 'plummet' faster than it should--nothing more, nothing less.
  13. It would likely be handled the same way concerts are--you get a wristband if you're over 21 along with an ink stamp. If you have them both, you can be served alcohol with an ID. If not, you're S.O.L. Honestly it's not really an issue.
  14. Exactly like this, and there's nothing more infuriating.
  15. Hardly true. While PvP is better in WoW, trust me when I say they have their fair share of 'moronic childish taunting'. As for everything else, well, I honestly don't know how to take it. It makes very little sense. Rather than actually criticizing PvP in runescape I think you just don't like danger when you go out into the wilderness...
  16. Because there isn't a substantive topic for discussion other than fun/brief participation, I'm moving your topic to Questionnaires. PM me if you have any questions.
  17. Skyrim has 'Hagravens" They're described as "horrible fusions of woman and bird" Does that qualify as harpy?
  18. Found a dragon, got it to land, suddenly another dragon and three cave bears pop out of nowhere. NOPENOPENOPE. Oh is there any point to cooking, at all?
  19. *sneak sneak sneak* *draw bow* *sight an elk* Victory is mine! *elk suddenly goes from unnoticed to OH GOD GET OUT OF THE WAY IM AN ELK* FFFF-- Every damn time.
  20. You want them chained--mapped--and there simply isn't a storyline to go with each quest.
  21. The quests are in the top results, though, is what I'm saying. Honestly there's just not a lot of benefit in it. There are more quests without a storyline than with, yet having prereqs for other quests, that all those dangling threads would render such a map meaningless.
  22. It didn't work for me a few hours ago. Tried to flush my dns cache, and strangely it worked afterwards. Don't know if it was coincidental or not.
  23. Using the search feature of the site for terms like "elf storyline" or "dwarf storyline" bring up the results for those themed quests pretty quickly, so I can't really say I agree with your point. :/
  24. Quests involved in arcs, or required for other quests have links in the advancement section though...I can't think of a story-related quest that doesn't have this.
