  1. Derp thanks Quyenax. I shouldn't have done that section by memory haha. (And thanks about the pictures :) ) Yaktwee freaking done. Now for flash powder factory set. ;_;
  2. Nomnomnom. Not much more left to go on that. Mining will be so blissfully afk to train...
  3. Scrapped the first page graphics, they drove me nuts to constantly edit. Here's my new blog header: :< Also updated goals n' stuff, this will probably be added to in the next couple of days. E: If anyone wonders how the tiramisu went, I dipped the ladyfingers too long in espresso and didn't let it set long enough in the fridge. I nailed the ladyfingers though, perfect texture, and once the tiramisu actually had a chance to properly set it wasn't that bad. Wish I had actual rum or amaretto next time though rather than crappy extracts. Didn't taste the same.
  4. Divination was planned for the week of the 19th, the 4th week after RS3's release as we were told. If the loyalty shop closes this friday, after being told the loyalty shop will close for one week prior to the merger, it will be set to release for the week of the 25th. That fits exactly with what they've told us so far.
  5. Yes, that's its main strength, but there are way more browser based fantasy MMORPGs than there were before. They're not particularly good, but they're there. Yogscast actually did a video of him playing through the new RS tutorial. I enjoyed it, he seemed to enjoy it too. Comments section was an atrocious [bleep] fest of jaded ex-players and stupid "veterans". I think they are trying to add new monster mechanics, but honestly they just don't work when the rest of the world's monsters are just walking punching bags. Take champions for instance. They have cool mechanics in theory (aside from the high spawnrate) but they're really just pushovers. They get no chance to use those tactics. Same thing with the Scutarii. Great idea in theory, but the mechanics for stunning don't work well enough for them to be anything other than a pain in the ass. Etc etc Handling the Eastern Lands as an expansion allows them to do what they conceivably cannot do with the mainland - create a world where everything was made with the design practices they had today, knowing what doesn't work and what does, without any relics from pre-eoc times. But that would be something absolutely massive an honestly, things like skill restructuring/minigame reworking/etc aren't fast fixes or particularly small when done right. Even if they updated every week, 48 chances to update the game throughout the course of a year would probably still not be enough.
  6. Loyalty shop was going to close 1 week before its merger. That seems on schedule to me.
  7. Yeah I can understand. The multiple posts here, on minecraftforum, on reddit really help get the word out about it.
  8. Cause I really can't stand the idea of Runescape in minecraft and I find the continual push for it more than a little obnoxious. At the same time I can appreciate the work you've put into it and I wish you the best. It is impressive even if it's not my cup of tea.
  9. So now the kinect is no longer required to be plugged in for the Xbox One. Just how badly are they losing the "preorder race" anyway? o_o

  11. Took you long enough! WoT ending spoilers: [hide] so do you think the dark one is actually dead? [/hide]
  12. When the battle of lumbridge was released, they put NPCs in every city that talked about the conflict. I just noticed this about the frightened girl npc in ardy: OH MY GOD THANK YOU NO MORE DEMON CHILD FACE. They were so damn disturbing. Female ones were the most bug-eyed, bucktoothed chatheads to grace 'scape.
  13. When you first logged into RS3 you had that popup. It said the outcome will choose who will have the same fate as Guthix. Cast back into oblivion doesn't necessarily mean death.
  14. Yup they reintroduce certain rares back into the GE from some banned accounts. Jmod discussed it, poke around on the wiki and you'll find the citation for it.
  15. Where are people getting the impression that the result of this battle will be a god's death?
  16. But I thought someone on the 200m skills thread said Dapledo still played?
  17. But the whole reason behind the outrage was that the examples cited weren't relevant to what was going on in the thread. They might've been relevant in past discussions, but not this one.
  18. Thought I explicitly stated it in the post before that when I spoke of mechanics needing to make sense within the game world, but yes, you are right in that's what I mean. They used to do a really good job of that. Example: A backpack magnet that collects your ammo? That's stupid, why does that work? Ah right here's an entire quest that fits it into the game's universe. It still bothers me that the SoF doesn't fit within RS. The SGS sort of does a better job - sort of - by way of using Solomon as an actual character the players can read about in news posts but then they stopped doing that, too. By contrast, the Loyalty Store was actually integrated into RS. Come to think of it we might see Xuan hit retirement when the combining of SGS and Loyalty Shop goes through and Solomon might actually become a part of the game.
  19. I know what you were trying to say, but here's why that still is a really crappy point to make: They can't just "do whatever" unless it makes sense somehow within the game according to the logic the game presents. You can't just buy a magical fairy that heals you to full health and prevents you from death without making it fit into the game in a way that doesn't clash with existing methods that do the same thing (eating to heal in this case). You can't just create a skill called organic chemistry without designing it with Runescape in mind. You can't just do something just because you think you can do anything. One game that does that often is AdventureQuest (first example that came to mind) and it suffers greatly for it.
  20. In discussions like these it's important to stick with the mentality that you are discussing things that don't make sense within the game world. Do not apply the laws of a completely separate world -- our world -- to the world of RuneScape. It might draw inspiration from real life, but it is not the same. What makes sense in RS does not have to make sense in real life so long as does not break the illusion of the world it creates. To use that point to counter a constructive plea for more logical gameplay is pointless and annoying.
  21. I'm just enjoying the fact that you're a ginger in minecraft, in all honesty. Beyond that I think I've quit. The server I played on is still active and running but I have no interest to go there. They're always looking for new people though and have a bevy of user-friendly bukkit plugins so let me know if anyone wants the IP. But yeah, I have no real interest anymore.
  22. Well but it kind of was needed to give constitution a purpose. It just doesn't work well. That concept of varied health restoration works better and makes more sense adapted to the cooking skill rather than constitution. I just don't think it was a very successful move. Ideally, the varying healing would create new items when cooked by a player and were untradable. Constitution should be things like resistance to disease or illness (poison) and things of that nature. It wouldn't be a traditional skill as others are set up, but it would make more sense within the game. I will say though that as for the lifepoints increase, it was a pretty neutral update. It might be less appealing to the veterans who enjoyed the simplicity of the lower HP, but one of the big complaints I heard about new players to runescape were how small and weak your character seemed at low levels. If changing that helped gain new players and didn't hurt existing ones, there's nothing wrong with it at all.
