  1. After trapping the beast in the cave, do yourself a big favor: collect the roots THEN build the pyres. Once you have 3 pyres built for the first room, then light them. If you do one after the other, you stand a higher chance of taking damage, as the Beast's attacks become more fierce and more spread out as he is damaged. Learned this the hard way ' - '
  2. The Moriquendi 'sorta' allows swearing. Most of the truly offensive swearing is filtered out both in our IRC and forums. So you could say quite a string of colorful words and you'd either see " sick of this " or "bullpoop quacking sick of this poop" :D
  3. Okay, who on tip.it ticked someone off in Anon? Joking aside, thanks to the staff for keeping the forums and site alive. This late night scaper appreciates the hard work \
  4. They're probably trying to find out what other games interest the RS community and then adapt ideas and concepts from those games into RS itself. Or, they could possibly inquiring so they can branch out onto console systems (provided that PS3 and Xbox get the necessary firmware updates to allow it)
  5. I'm half and half on this issue. There's so many people on those boats that there isn't a lot for the individual to do. But those who are playing the game are at least making an effort to do so, not sitting around and casting spells. Tbh, there's no reason to use magic in that game. I don't know why casting spells is even allowed. You should get a message along the lines of, "The swaying of the boat breaks your concentration!" whenever you cast a spell. --'
  6. There's rumor that there are a small group of merchants responsible for the price crash. At least, that's what I heard earlier today from a clan mate. I don't know how reliable his source was.
  7. "Man, my wrist is hurting after clicking for that new quest..." "Know what you could do?" "No, what?" Still in the middle of the quest, but I had to stop and take a picture.
  8. The new firemaking quest (and rumored minigame) is about lighting beacons.. I dunno, but I'd wish the Phoenix summon would be tied to a more...exotic quest.
  9. Wow, Andrew Gower's ears must be burning.
  10. Meh, true...but it's certainly make me happy--and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one. \
  11. This has already happened ^^; It was a hidden update. Lovely topic though. I've got one for you: Transportation methods such as cart and mine carts need to be modified to transport familiars. It stinks to dismiss my terrorbird every time I run to Keldagrim, a major town!!
  12. Could Guthix's way of keeping balance be introducing first the gnomes and dwarves, and then humans and elves? I know a previous poster mentioned that a different god brought the elves to Gielnor, but just makes me wonder if he didn't have a hand in it or something. .-.
  13. I guess it might...have you tried it yet? But anyway, I took a spirit terrorbird with me while I was doing the quest. Whenever I dismissed it in the "Otherrealm" it turned into that ball of energy you saw with the spirit wolf/wyrm/scorpion. I think that's just how they look when they're dismissed on those areas, but it'd be neat if you were right.
  14. That "castle" was added right before The Wilderness got it's graphical update (most noticable: lava changed to brighter colors =\) but this was like 05 or early 06 so I don't expect you to know. There was a time when it was single combat and when it wasn't mapped on the world map :). So that, I think, destroys your assumption. Yeah, but how old were some of the other places that were used in this quest? The Chaos Altar, that forgotten village (albeit it got tweaked a little), the axe hut....All of these were around WAYYY before that, yet they were used in the quest. Everything is just theory right now. ^_^
  15. Does anyone remember seeing a cave mound much like the one in the wilderness? I think it was called "Mined in cave" or "Collapsed Cave". Do these have any correllation to the quest? EDIT: After finishing the quest and returning to the limpwurt patch, a "Goth Leprechaun" will be there to hold your tools and stuff, as any other leprechaun would.
  16. My infinite tab is my money, tele items, jewelery, and minigame items. (misc 1) My Tab 2 has the image of a rune scimitar and it has all my armor, weapons, and slayer gear in it. (Fighting Gear, Slayer) My Tab 3 has the image of pure essence and it has all my runecrafting gear, my runes, and my cooking gear and food. (Runecrafting, Cooking) My Tab 4 has the image of Vial and has all my herblore gear, potions, and fishing gear (Herblore, Pots, Fishing) My Tab 5 has the image of a pickaxe and has all my mining, smithing, and crafting gear in it. (self explanatiory) My Tab 6 has the image of a summoning shard and has all my summoning and hunter gear in it. My Tab 7 has the image of a Crystal Saw and has all my construction, fletching, woodcutting, and firemaking gear in it (and ironically my emptiest tab) My Tab 8 has all my miscellaneous questing gear in it. And my last and final tab has a bunch of assorted junk like incomplete event clothing sets, treasure trail Uri armor, etc etc. \
  17. Has anyone been able to find information about T.S. Church? I'd like to see things he's written before prior to even CONSIDERING purchasing this book. I'm extremely suspicious that this book will be printed in 14pt font with pictures, like a child's book... EDIT: I DID google search his name and checked amazon.com, but I can't find anything.
  18. Spirits of the Elid and Hand in the Sand are very quick quests, taking roughly around a half hour if you follow a guide--if I remember correctly.
  19. Geez, go make a topic in General Discussion already. You guys added like a page of spam and barely helped the topic creator. The few people I know who got 99 cook always did a combination of lobs and monkfish, but these are costly, losing as much as 120+gp per fish. I'd say tuna is your way to go. You're only losing 40some gp per raw. Though it's not the speediest and I don't know how well they sell, everything else seems inefficient since the Culinomancer's chest was nerfed.
  20. Even if they did add a certain type of weapon that could be dual weilded, I doubt it'd be favored over str boosting items such as beserker sheilds and defenders. That is, unless dual weilded items hit more frequently and allowed +10 extra damage. That might make them favorable IMO.
  21. Yeah but you still can't contact them. They just tell you to go through the forums.
  22. It's hit and miss, it really is. It all depends on the type of response, I feel. When I had account issues, they were prompt and very helpful. However, when some of my clanmates got banned for spamming in the wilderness, Runescape was slow and unwilling to respond. In that case, my friends received a LOT of automated responses back. I'll tell you what I have noticed on the rise though, and it isn't customer support. It's wrongful blackmarks/bannings that the customer service people are VERY unwilling to touch into. And they are probably the most hush-hushed group of people.
  23. Java itself is a cross-compatible platform. It can go anywhere that can download the JVM, the Java Virtual Machine. Since the Wii does not have a big enough harddrive that you can save things to, you'll not see it on the Wii anytime soon (also for thereasons that Makoto mentioned) .
  24. All videos from runescape posted on youtube violate copyright laws because YouTube is a site that makes it's money via Ads.
  25. I find that buying ranarr seeds 25kea and then selling the potions you get is very profitable. You'd average about 6 herbs per patch with supercompost. Once you get a good amount of herbs (60ish), go to w22 or w18 and sell the prayer pots for 9kea. Make sure you collect snape grass at Waterbirth Isle. Best place for it. Set your house in Relleka for a bit for easy access. 250k worth of ranarr seeds (10 seeds) yields on average 60 herbs. 60 herbs made into prayer potions, sold at 9kea, gives 540k in return. AND you can do this in your spare time, in between training.
