You're correct, in this particular case it is indeed wise to bring the urns, it results in an increase of +-1240xp. If you would have to rebank for extra urns each hour like you said (not everyone does farm runs), it would probably result in less xp/hour. Since you probably catch four or more rocktails in the time to bank + run back to LRC. A very narrow gap where these fishing urns turn out to be useful for high lvl fishers...

Still, you need to rebank quicker and you loose the benefit of the granite lobster which boosts your lvl AND fishes for you.

Aren't these urns completely useless in mining 77-99? You waste one spot for the urn + a spot for runes + a lava titan (since you have to take a yak or another bob with you, packed with urns). -> a loss of 2 inv spots AND no lava titan. Same logic applies for fishing cavefish/rocktail. Since ivy is #1 for woodcutting and urns don't work at this, more or less useless for this skill too? Agility and hunter aren't included (2 skills where banking is less of an issue imo) so that means this update has 0 use for me. Great. <_< People using mousekeys have an even greater advantage now.

Okay, you apparently didn't use one. But I can't imagine that everyone complaining about short quests don't use a quest guide. Thus being a little hypocrite in my eyes. :-P

This. Where are the people that denied this would happen now? Seen the nice little thread (with 2542 replies already) of people being hacked? "RuneScape Forums > Account Help > Hijacked Today? Post Here" Look at the start date of that topic, all the replies have been made in 1 week!!! + the people that didn't post on that thread + the people that posted in their own language on RS-forum = a whole lot more Free trade sucks imo, it is a nice little playground for scammers of all sorts. One of the reasons people liked free trade were items being buyable over GE again. Blue phat was/is (I don't know at this time) over max cash, gf. No they didn't believe him.

No, I had an offer all day yesterday and renewed after GE-update today. Nothing yet. Edit: stil nothing... :ohnoes: which of the following options would you guys do: - try to snipe green phat in GE now and have some spare cash. - try to buy blue phat in free trade with my entire cashpile. (approx 1.1b) So many variables to consider it hurts. :razz:

I have an offer in for a green partyhat at max for 11 hours now. Nothing yet. Which phats do you guys think will be buyable in GE without snipe-bots? (I'd rather have a "higher" phat. :razz: )

Absolutely no idea, I expect a lof of bumps and falls in rares after free trade though. I'm hoping I will have enough cash to buy a blue phat (or a green if the price of blue would be out of my reach) :ohnoes: This could be true, with less pvp-coins entering the game and more armour that needs coins to repair.

There are of today many more botting services sites up and running than pre wildy-removal and anti-rwt measures. Botting did not perish after Jagex's so called anti-rwting measures, they persist today. With free trade, there will be more incentive to make ingame mills to sell. More incentive -> more bots. Only time will tell who's right in this, just wait and see I guess. :razz: (and yes I know there are stil ways to transfer nowadays, but with free trade it becomes less of a hassle)

On the other hand, I don't like clans nor do i like construction. I'd rather have a quest year, and/or another upgrades year. the upgrade year was the best year of all years gameplay changing wise. Considering how much profit Jagex makes each year, we should have old AND new content upgrades/updates on a regular basis in every year, not the one or the other... Quests/new bosses/game improvements for me please. (like said, new bosses will automatically help clans, same goes for old wild)

Maybe some botting sites are already back to RS in anticipation of free trade...

I used the Zybez price guide. You could look up all items in their database and it gave a min-max price.

The unknowing mass might not know that standard price (or think that the standard price is rising and might rise even more) and pay the ammount the merchanter asks for. How is that not some sort of scamming? Only thing pre GE-merchanters were useful for imo was obtaining large quantities of items, taking away the hassle for other people who wanted to pay a tad more in exchange for huge ammounts. I do this too, by item flipping in GE, but saying this isn's a form of scamming is a lie imo. Didn't think of that when writing my previous post, that is idd a good thing. :wink: So we agree the 'old time merchanting' you were talking about is idd scamming then. :smile: To OP: This would be the smartest imo.

So...buying 1k feathers from a store for 7 gp each and then selling via the ge for 16 or 17 gp is scamming? Uhh what. If that is what you meant by old time merchanting, I apologise. 'both parties consent' you say, but can anyone escape from deceptively being forced to pay a higher price. It is not like you have a "I want to buy this item but not from a merchanter"-button in the GE.

Merchanting in any form is a form of scamming. If you mean by old time merchanting: standing in w2 (when you eventually get in this world) shouting the same message over and over again for hours (competing with autotalkers)... I sincerely hope I never have to do this again.
