  1. Are you going to send your princesses to the other nation's princes? Royal marriage.
  2. Also the Hlaupari can't function as all the roles at once. For example, if they're deployed into Ireland as spies, then one is suddenly caught, they can pull out all their various weapons and slashing through the police. They just happen to be very versatile, so from one mission to another they can perform well at both. Dusty's Knights of Santiago are by far the best at combating "heathens" and would probaly be the best unit in Asia, since the main Asian kingdoms use lots of low-grade spearmen and high grade swordsmen, something that the knights would be good for. Rocco's unit is basically a beefed up version of the Hlaupari, though its less flexible. Icu's blood knights are the best all-rounder knights, but they come in lesser numbers and he's been forced to give more independance to his nobles. Also, their fear effect can often be negated against more fearsome enemies (Mongols, Persians with elephants), making them the same effectiveness as normal knights, but more expensive. They have a problem with massacring civilians without discretion. Hope that clarified things.
  3. The Duke of Dublin, the most prestigious lord except for the great ruler, Poseidon, sends you a message. "Fuzz off!"
  4. Come live at my place! It has cows (well one currently, but planning to get more!), large fields of everything except beetroot, and twelve cupboards full of cow products, including forty or so leathers, which will make space for 360 seeds. :D
  5. I have an Asian map on the front page and an updated European, btw. Thanks, but I already found it. Took forever to get rid of the dots though.
  6. Tamed my first Auroch! -dance- I can't tell if it's a bull or a cow though. It has a girlish picture, but it has horns. At least I think they're horns. Only one thing to do: milk it.
  7. Naptha using foot soldiers which throw the naptha in jugs.
  8. Throw naptha.
  9. Flintstones tank?
  10. Err, are you sure you're not responding to Trol instead?
  11. I've made it so that any generic attacks in the local European theater get generic boats for now for free, if needed for transport. Let's assume they're fishermen's boats.
  12. Sorry, I've been pretty busy today, and I didn't get around to the battle report. (Spent my time on the East map. Took forever to get rid of all those red dots called cities) I'll try to get the things done tomorrow morningish, so we can have a second one tomorrow evening.
  13. The Byzantines have a lot of cool unique units. Perhaps you should diversify into infantry as well, because for a generic engagement, infantry are more cost effective than calvery.
  14. First of all, why are you holding a toy gun? Second of all, your room is so small! Or the computer room is so small!
  15. Who is that?
  16. Four times I believe.
  17. Flails are more useful for attack then defence. If your flail soldiers were charged by cataphracts, they'd probaly have the first several rows entirely bowled over, and then if they counter attacked, they would be more useful in that regard. Also, flails don't work well in packed spaces, so you couldn't pack em as closely as pikemen or spearmen. ---- Next five year period starts after the battle report on the 11th btw. :)
  18. Hmm? I believe your orders were to keep marching east. Then after the battle where the Hlaupari killed lots of Mongols, your army marches west again in the next battle report, which is the last one that happened. The Mongolian army is basically all-calvery, so they manage to ride day and night, several times faster than your army combined (since the only way they'd march together would be if they rode at the speed of the slowest unit, which was a pikeman), thus getting to Poland and smashing that before you arrived.
  19. Okay, your army as a whole as too slow to reach the Mongols before they crushed Poland. Either the calvery fast enough to catch them would've attacked them before hand, or I can calculate an attack by your entire army on the Mongols in Poland, after the peace treaty has been signed and the Mongols are pretty comfortable in Poland. Based on quick mental calculations, if your calvary had attacked by itself, it would've been defeated and the result would've been the same in Poland, even if the Mongolian general performed at its worse (good) and your general performed at its best (excellent). So, if you'd like I can factor those in either way.
  20. Hooray, the maps are done. Okay, here's the explanation for the map. (Asian map) Darkish grey areas are wilderness, already mapped in a more detailed map, or are not supposed to be shown (like the Americas) Red lines indicate primary land routes, which will be less risky for your soldiers to walk on than other "uncharted" routes. Maroon = Kiev Yellow = Mongols Lightest Peach = Persian Caliphate Purple = Eastern parts of the Byzantine empire Light Purple = Khmer Empire Olive Green = Sultanate of something (momentarily forgot its name) Dark Blue = Southern Song Dynasty Orange = More Mongols Darker Peach = More Mongols Green = Japan Light Blue = South Africa [hide=Really big map] [/hide] [hide=European map] Could someone please fix up the titles for stuff? I have no clue how to do that. :P [/hide] We are using Archi's system for ships, except all the times are cut in half. Cogs cost 50,000 every five years to maintain, and 50,000 to purchase (so you can't simply buy an infinite amount and disband before the five years). This will be calculated at the five year mark, so if you purchase a cog one year before the next five year, you'll have to pay again really soon. Each can carry five hundred soldiers, or can be tasked to trade between certain countries. This is to replace the old trading route system, so everyone who put money into trade routes, please PM me and I'll re-imburse you for the costs with other trading related stuff. This will be going onto the front page soon. ---- Plague has somewhat died down, but will continue to have outbreaks every once in a while in some countries.
  21. Not when you're so determined to beat everyone else, especially you're greatest rivals who would laugh if you got an A on anything that isn't gym. :P
  22. It's not like we're going to see your character naked. Even if we were, personally I would not try to picture that.
  23. I'm not a big fan of using numbers but my problem is that when I start high school, with my intention of going to an Ivy league college, I will not have enough time to mod this game. That means that I have fifty or more days of modding this game, which is why I kept the research durations relatively short. If I could find a replacement when I left, then this would be a great system, and that would be jolly good.
  24. That's wierd. This Wiki thing says this: Carrack = 14th century Caravel = 15th century Galleon = 16th century Hrrm. Okay, I will start unlocking ships as the natural progression of trade moves on. For the moment, everyone has access to basic cogs, which can in extreme circumstances travel to China, but will probaly lose 90% of the crew, meaning they are probaly good only to establish initial contact. This is also the trade ship around Europe. Sea-faring cogs will become available in roughly a decade. Basically sturdier and better supplied cogs designed for small trade missions to Asia. Then the others will come later as things ramp up. Okay, now to work on pricing. ---- Yep, could you please PM that to me?
