I would recommend getting civilization four and all of its expansion packs. They are all probaly cheaper combined or a bit more expensive than Civ V.

Yah, Archi makes a good point. We should cut out bioweapons and change chemical weapons into "just another kinda weapon", with its own advantages and disadvantages, because someone's just going to pull a Retech if we do have bioweapons. Besides, we don't need the stalemate from MAD. We already have that from trench warfare.

We watched a video in Global History class about "The Great Game", the period where Europe basically divided up Africa. We need a Hegemony. :(

It has countries from most of the modern-age Hegemonies + their personalities as they were played. Player actions clearly affect each of the countries in a meaningful way. Rivalries caused by country affiliation, which isn't prevalant in Dungeoneering games. It might not be played like Hegemony, but it is certainly influenced by it.

Not when a player (ie me) reads through the entire rulebook and insists on using mounted combat and strange weapons. :P
