  1. I wonder what the second pic is about. Unannounced update to armours that was supposed to be coming later? New options for character creation? Some kind of event/blog/thread/whatever where Jagex gives insight on graphics development? O_o
  2. woah I should've refreshed the page >.> 490
  3. That's a bold quote to make considering the fact that we have no information regarding development time for other skills to compare it to. And considering that Mark said at Runefest that skills take a long time, because they have to be really good. They can't release a second Firemaking really.
  4. They got rid of that? That was actually one of the very few things I missed when moving to Chrome. :( It still does that for me, although that going straight to the page has only rarely worked for me anyway :/ It comes up with the following message when I type "bbc" into the address bar: File not found Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-GB/locale/browser-region/region.propertiesbbc. * Check the file name for capitalisation or other typing errors. * Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted. I'll try re-installing the whole thing. EDIT: No, still not working. Hmmm....I know I've had that error at one point...but not sure if I did anything to fix it or it fixed with an update...let me try to find out. Okay, try this: Type "about:config" into your address bar. It tells you to be careful(you should, don't change anything on a whim ;)) next to "filter", type in "keyword" and press enter. Look for the line that says "keyword.enabled". It should say that it's type is boolean, and whether it's true or false. If this is on false, double click the line to make it true, this will activate this system. If it says true already...then the problem is somewhere else. To be sure, try deactivating and activating it again. Also look at the "Keyworld URL" line...this should probably say "http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=" for the URL that the address bar uses for the search. If not, it should at least be another search engine. I got the info from these pages: http://kb.mozillazin...tion_Bar_Search http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyword.URL http://kb.mozillazin...Keyword.enabled If this doesn't fix the problem, you might want to look around for related articles as well[/hide] Keyword URL line had "chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties" instead of the URL you provided. It's working again as it was before now I've changed it. Thanks. glad I could help :)
  5. 12k xp per hour. Penguin hunting takes its toll :P

  7. I believe a BIG part of Runescape's success is based on it's accessibility. It's the top of browser games in terms of quality and gives it some reputation as well. Plus, the developers at Jagex right now are familiar with this engine, this kind of development - I don't think making it client based would be better for Runescape.
  8. With this quest, definitely :D It has *Zaros* lore and it's done by *Mod Ana*. Has to be a great quest :D
  9. We've seen a year of the investor's 35% interest influence on Runescape. From now on we'll see the investors 55% interest influence. Whether things will actually change or not remains to be seen. All we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Nope...this news is about a year old In fact, it's 89% investor ownership btw, just 55% are from US investors
  10. Nor have I. Well partially I do, since a heap of people derive most of their gaming pleasure from the numbers within the game, and not the game itself. The instant gratification from achieving a numbers goal, X in a certain level, is quite addicting to some. Compare it with a heroin junkie. They pain they must go through on a daily basis to obtain their high is instantly gratified upon injection. I know it's an extreme comparison, but considering the amount of complaints over certain skills from the same people who can't pull themselves away from it strikes a good resemblance. That may be part of it, but it's definitely not all of it. If the fm had required 90 fm, what choice is there left to someone who loves quests but has 90 firemaking? He has to grind it, even if he doesn't like. A lot of grinding boils down to stuff like this.
  11. Well, we've seen a year of the investor's influence on Runescape. More marketing gimmicks sure, but in terms of the game itself and the updates, nothing much has changed. I can't say I'm happy about it either, but I don't think it's as bad as some people make it out to be. The only real issue I could see is that they could try to introduce a cash shop into Runescape, but seeing how Runescape players are very much against that, I doubt it will happen.
  12. I threw up in my mouth a little bit. Ummm...why does it matter? Those investors are only in the business side of things...
