The game engine doesn't allow untradeable items to be noted. It's now possible to have untradable potions in your bob though...so we can't be sure whether that applies still.

The sound itself wasn't the issue, but I found it way too repetitive. Only by normal players, not by Jmods. Not sure what you mean by "like the Katana offer". It's not limited to a certain payment method, because you get it from the start. It also doesn't seem to depend on countries, seeing as e.g. there were 2 peeps from canada on this thread, one who got the trial and one who didn't. The only thing I can think of is that they do not make this available for people who already have a membership account, yet they must have some other means besides IP to check that, and I wouldn't know which means that would be... :unsure:

Does it stop the timer for hopping worlds? If yes, I can see how annoying it would be if not...what's the big deal? I remember reading about maybe a month or 2 past, so it's not been around for too long.

stupid different video formats. I've been trying to put together a video, but can't because it was filmed with a FullHD-Camera and my RAM is too low to deal with the big amounts of memory needed. I tried converting it to a lower bitrate, but despite it being the same format, it won't work now, saying that it needs quicktime player to decode that. Tried a whole bunch of other formats as well, nothing works :wall:

Not everyone seems to get it, we are not sure how this is determined Maybe it's something to do with IP. I'm gonna try making another account through a proxy just to see what happens. (I'm already dedicated to my awesome pures new name :/) It could be IP-based, but which IPs do they take? There are people who already have membership who were able to get this, and there were two people from canada, one who got it and one who didn't. If it's not based on membership on another account, and not on country, on what else?

I have seen pics of a Mod Jacmob in-game, and they were unrelated(aka the poster was not trying to prove that jacmob was hired but talked about something else) so it's unlikely that he would take the time to fake it.

Completely bogus claims that no-one has ever proven. He did get hired by Jagex, that much we know.

It is in (some?) F2Pers eyes, because it means that Pure F2Pers will be a dying breed and it shows a bit that F2P isn't really valued. No big surprises there though.

I don't think you can say it's without looking at the future. I actually believe this model works better than the current one. The point about heritage is true, but I think Jagex has simply outgrown the times when it was just about the game and the players (Like *every* game company does, it's a natural progress)

Jacmob claims to have a working one, and it must at least have come near, seeing how Jagex hired him for it. Apart from that, I don't know of any working reflection bot? Though, admittedly, I don't constantly check on all of them >.>

How often have they made a similar claim before? I'll believe it when I see it. Sure, the numbers of bots are rising again, but I think we won't be seeing reflection bots for a while still.

There still is the option for Pure F2P, you just mustn't complete the tutorial. But this definitely is one of the signs that Jagex is taking a completely new approach with F2P. I don't really think that F2P will be removed altogether - it still has some value for Jagex, because its a means to keep players that let their membership lapse stay connected to the game and thus have a higher chance of having these players resubscribe. However, I'm pretty sure this won't be the last negative(at least to those who are f2p) thing we will happen to see to the free game. Don't know really where I stand on that myself.

But you have to include server and development costs here. The last info we got from Jagex(though admittedly this was years ago) was that F2P barely covers their server costs for it so makes little to no profit. As for this destroying "pure F2P" - first of all, as said the tutorial is completely optional. Besides, pure F2Pers give Jagex next to no money, so it's no big surprise that they don't really care about that. In economic terms F2P still has its use for Jagex, because it keeps players who have decided to let their membership lapse a connection to the game which makes resubscribing more likely. But you shouldn't really expect them to cater a lot to F2P.

Quite the opposite, it's very important to the story. I don't mean silly, "LOVEY KISSY GOO GOO". But her relationships with Peeta and Gale are part of her growth and evolution as a character. If you downplay that, you're seriously taking away from the story. It's one of the things that made it a very mature instance of Young-Adult literature. I only worry that the films will blow it out of proportion. Yeah I guess I downplayed it a little too much. The character relationships are important, but they shouldn't be more prominent than the conflict in Panem. I just don't want to see them trying to capitalize on the Twilight fandom by making it seem like the story revolves around these character relationships. They should just be a large supporting factor in the overall story. Except that exaclty this will happen because that's where the masses of viewers lie. I guess I'm going to watch it myself(unless everyone says it's terrible) but I don't have too many expectations. Even in the trailer there were already a few things that bothered me, such as the fact that Katniss has Make-up from the start on. If they're not honestly trying to watch out for things like this that create a believeable environment, I fear that they let a lot of other things slip as well.

Yeah, I agree- I'm atheist as well, yet I've never encountered any negative feelings towards that, maybe because other people only "find out" that I'm an atheist if we're actually having a conversation on this topic which usually doesn't happen that often because frankly, there are better things to talk about.

I don't get the first one at all, unless he means those who already have max levels and bank the effigies for a big gain in a short time - When those are people who are really into efficiency and maybe even getting one of the top highscore ranks, it wouldn't be surprising they don't participate in new content much. As for the second quote, it's no wonder Maxed players like this, because it doesn't devalue their achievement that they conveniently got before the nerf >.>

This. There are people who are distinguishing between swear words, who are not allowed to be said, and other words, yet at the same time are incredibly insultive. They think it's wrong to say [bleep] when something bad or w/e has happened, yet they feel it's ok to say "you little f" because they didn't write out the word >.> It's all about the context.
