  1. ^ Nice video. I'm tempted to try that myself but my stats aren't really up to par, esp. because I don't have high enough mage/prayer.
  2. Save to your computer, upload it to an online album (ex: to Photobucket), click the image icon above the text box in a post and then paste the URL.
  3. I've noticed fire giants seem to drop a decent amount. I usually get like 20 gems per task from them, with a relatively good frequency of dragonstone.
  4. This might just be my short term observation, but since the minigame update I've noticed I fail doors a lot more and consecutively. I leveled thieving from 71-93 in Pyramid Plunder and have never failed a door five times in a row, but now it seems a frequent occurrence. Anyone have an idea if anything was changed? Thanks.
  5. I'm in NYC and I felt a little rumble the other day. But I mean c'mon, first an earthquake, now a hurricane, the only rational explanation is that the LORD is angry! It isn't a coincidence that global warming, these supposed weather phenomena and the increasing acceptance of homosexuals and other races coincide.
  6. The loss in runescape is also not comparable to the loss in casinos. $100,000 is not comparable to the loss of casinos? I'd say for some, it is. One can afford to lose 100% of their RS assets, no real consequences and you can continue playing and having fun. If that happens in real life gambling, there are actual repercussions [foreclosure, inability to pay for food or healthcare for self or dependents, etc.] too numerous to list. Pixels aren't really comparable to real currency unless you make your real living from selling pixels.
  7. Hey, everyone. I'm kind of a really casual player so I'm not really sure as to what armor setup I should be using for slayer or whatever my combat needs entail (i.e. quest, etc.). Right now I use a full slayer helm, torags, glory, ring of wealth, dragon boots, barrows gloves, legends cape (>.<), whip and dragon sq. shield. My budget for armor improvements, which I'm sure someone has in mind when they hear what I use, is preferably under 50m. I'd really appreciate advice as to what I should be using and/or what are my best options. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
  8. -I dreaded visibly decreasing my cash pile, i.e. if I have 1.1m I wouldn't spend 200k so that it goes down a mil. I finally overcame it though since I invested 180m in an item I'm waiting to flip. -I idle around a lot. -I like to examine everything. -I stand in GE and just observe how stupid conversations can get.
  9. So not to sound like a jerk, but what I've gathered from reading this thread is nothing more than trying to make Jiblix a martyr to make the already villainized Jagex seem worse. It might not be completely unwarranted that they're villainzed, and I personally don't agree with everything they do (loyalty points, referral program, leniency in regards to bots) , but honestly if people have such an issue with them than why do they continue to use their game? I mean lately there's been so much Jagex bashing, and regardless of its factual or not factual basis, it has gotten old fast as I've realized a lot of people are focusing on that rather than the actual telos of Runescape, that is, it being for FUN. That being said, this particular instance reminds me of a graphic novel I had to read for Social Foundations called Persepolis about the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and a particular scene comes to mind. There's a mob carrying the body of a soldier saying that the king is a killer, than another body comes out of a hospital and the mob is like another martyr, the king is a killer. Than the widow of the dead comes out and she's like no, he's not a soldier, he died of cancer. But the mob was like lul whut? The king is a killer. So the widow just joined the mob, basically to point a finger at someone. The king was a jerk but that guy's death was unrelated and certainly not a martyrdom. Similarly, it's the rule for players to heavily criticize Jagex and it doesn't matter that sometimes the reasoning is convoluted or the blame irrelevantly placed but a good number of players just support it in a mob mentality just because something else in Runescape/Jagex displeases them. Edit: And no one better say I'm saying one cannot complain. I'm saying that when one complains it should be constructive, not a continuous habit of [bleep]ing.
  10. Thanks for the advice, Toad. I maxed out three other guys and I assumed my same strategy would work for Zachory as well, but apparently not.
  11. The rate he inflicts damage is almost equal to the rate the slug regenerates so he's gained 12 lvls (EDIT: now 15*) on the same slug and he's been at it for 40+ min. I really don't like this guy.
  12. Agreed. To combat this issue it requires fundamental change in handling it. However, there current attitude is like when someone says "no, stop" in a tepid voice and than says, "well I tried." On another note, I'm confused why RWT isn't illegal. I'm not very familiar with British law, but I know in the United States a fundamental breach of contract is considered legally wrongful. I mean I see how it could be impractical for Jagex to sue for damages for said breach for many aspects, but it's still illegal in the sense it intentionally violates the legal requirement of having to adhere to a contractual agreement.
  13. Amen. I was tepid on the other actions because, perhaps, I thought they were just testing the waters. But this, this is a clear movement towards making their game more oriented towards profit than the game itself. I understand for a company to be feasible it must make a profit, but once you make maximizing your profit an objective for something such as a game, it loses the loyalty of consumers, etc. which would, in long term, make Runescape more of a boom than bust in terms of profit instead of steady revenue.
  14. The revamp was pretty good. I'm having some good fun playing it.
  15. So I was under the impression I'd be horribly bored out of my mind with Monkey Knife Fighters, I was wrong. I wish I had listened to people in terms of training on them 4 Thieving lvls ago. They're a lot faster than I thought, and 800k isn't a bad thing. My luck with skimmies is a lot better than with pharaoh sceptres.
  16. Lesser graphics has an entire feeling in its own regards. I like Runescape as it is, just like I wouldn't appreciate if N64 games (which, in my opinion, are great) were remade in 3D.
  17. Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm just going to go ReapMe-style and just click through it. My shortfall might just be I was new to the training tactic so I was slow.
  18. Thanks hedgehog and yes to marcustullius
  19. I guess that's why they aren't amazing, thanks. Would you be able to give me advice/link me to a guide pertaining to using mouse keys? I'm not very tech savvy.
  20. Hey guys. Well I'm going for 99 Thieving and I tried Pyramid Plunder as well as Monkey Knife Fighters, and I know the latter is suppose to have better xp rates but I can't seem to get better xp from it. I did several 5min timed tests of each and the multiplied that by 12 to find the hourly xp, but I kept getting ~200k xp for Pyramid Plunder but only ~168k for Monkey Knife Fighters. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance for advice.
  21. So the gem bag was definitely worth getting, especially since it's so cheap. It saves a good deal of space for slayer tasks. Oh and lulz at the finesse and intelligence of conversations at the GE. They proceeded to talk of a male's "pencil" and a female's "eraser," although the second one is a very poor analogy to say the least and I'll spare Tip.It from the continued stupidity.
  22. On a lv1500+ world bots aren't directly present, and their presence within the greater context of the game only lowers the cost of supplies, so Runescape is still very playable.
  23. I received a Mysterious Chronicle (part 10) from Stomp.
  24. If there's ever an item that's a pain to get, either for a quest or something of the sort, I would often hoard it. For instance, one quest required barley [i think] that I didn't have, so I grew like 40 pieces and kept them in my bank for like a year or two just instance the ever-coming occurrence would arrive that I would need them. I dread spending my money [even though that's what it's for] unless I'm buying an item to flip. I pick up every drop, even if it's a small coin drop. Being obsessed with making sure everything is in its right bank slot. Buying cosmetic outfits for specific skill related tasks.
