I'm a big noob then. I farm avantoe/cactus spines, do mtk with 10 on herbs and 5 on fish, pick fungus, kill greens (with ranged using a terror over tort to save cash on pouch), and that's about it. I've thouroughly discerned from other topics my skills arn't good enough for anything else. Edit: I also get about 2k broads and feathers from stores daily, depending on when I get up. I know there's some dailies with achievement diaries, but I can't rememer them. I know battlestaffs, but i saved up 100 of them from zaff and they didn't sell. Gf 700k.

Inf boots nor cannon are required. This thing about ee > claws annoys me. Are you short of coinage? The increased damage of claws should well and truely make up for it (unless you're low melees like me, can't see your sig nor rsn on this skin).

So what figure should I be using? 200k or 300k? Or stick to the middle and go with 250k? While I'm not a math nut, I do love maths, and I suppose this is learning practical stuff...in a way... Still prefer inductive proofs though.

I value time at 0gp/hour. It's what I do, i dunno an effective way to make cash. Greens result in a net gain of 200-300K per hour. Fungus is like 200k. That's not the point though. Because I value time now so lowly, time later is going to be a big part in my efficiancy calcs. Basically, without doing a stupidly slow method (eliminating them manually, like cleaning rouge's purse or something stupid) is this going to have a huge impact? Also, is this a sane thing to do? With big bones, prayer to 95 is only like 100m. Good if you're stingy, bad on efficiancy cost.

Hm, that makes sense. Anyone know the rates of chinning and knives at yaks/ogres or something? I'd love to do a calc on that. So am I right in concluding that efficiancy calcs really arn't that hard?

It's hard to put a value on a single skill when it's just one part of the puzzle. Ofc, with 99 range/Mage/prayer/summon/herb/defence and 1B worth of gear you can value your time at 5m/hour, but...

I imagine it would be, but you never know... In the said example, say you got 50K exp per hour at greens and 500K cash. And at chins you got 300K exp per hour, at a loss of about 2 mill. Greens is 1/6 of the time, so you'd gain 3m in the 6 hours you spent at greens vs the 1 hour spent chinning. However, you lose 2m chinning and gain 3m with greens, meaning a difference of 5m. Bgs + claws for speccing if you really need a godsword. If you only want a single item, get ags. There is no substitute (except claws)

Comparing method 1 to method 2 in terms of cost vs speed: Item 1 costs 1000 gp and gives 300 exp. I can get 1000 items done per hour. Item 2 costs 100 gp and gives 200 exp. I can get 1000 items done per hour. Exp of item 1 in an hour: 300 * 1000 = 300K. Exp of item 2 in an hour: 200 * 1000 = 200K Amount of time for item 2 to be the Same exp as item 1: 300K/200K = 1.5, 1 hour * 1.5 = 1.5 hours. So for the same exp, I use 1500 of item 2 in 1.5 hours and 1000 of item 1 in one hour. The total cost for item 2 is 1500 * 100 = 150K. The total cost for item 1 is 1000 * 1000 = 1M gp. Take the time and cost of item 2 away from item 1: Cost: 1M - 150K = 850K. Time: 1.5 - 1 = 0.5 hours. So for method 1 to be more efficiant, you need to make 850K in half an hour, or 1.7m/hour. How is this looking? This is a fairly simple one, and I'm looking for examples such as superglass make vs plank making, ect. Another would be potion making.

So due to an unfortunate series of events, a program called "123 EducateMe" was installed on my computer. This thing is a persistant SOB: Obviously designed by geeky guys who were trying to con a cheap coin off hitler-etesque parents. Any idea how I can bypass this thing? I have a limited user account to work with, about 20 mins of internet a day, a laptop only connected to the wireless network, without the program installed. Advise is appreciated, however, users should not respond with tactics on how to circumvent the software. ~Laura0077

I'm assuming he can't make much....Not everyone can make like 1m/hour. I personally value my time at 0gp/hour, so i use the cheapest methods.

I lol @ the above post. Normal energy pots, Normal Restore pots, and serum 207's are all about 7gp/exp cheaper then super attacks.

I calced Herby at being cheaper then prayer...but meh. 92 herby > gear > 95 prayer for monster hunting, especially armadyl.

Crap...theiving level...over 9000... It's not as good anymore due to the rouge being fixed, but it's a good way to get over 500k an hour and good theiving exp. Crack safes in the rouge's den. Alternativly, try making unf pots.

I've got a sw cape, so I last just as long as most people there with prosyl and a fire cape. Idk if switching would be worth it. I was considering switching to ghostly warriors. I like the passive drops and CHARMS that Az's give, but finding a world that's not booked out by 130+ kids is more hassle then bandos...
