I got my my ACT scores back today. my comp. score was 33. I also got a few calls from colleges whom I selected to receive my scores. :) If I can get a scholarship, then I should be able to go to college and live on campus.

There is a lot more to a game then programming and art. Take Runescape for example. There are Customer/Player support representatives,idea creators, game testers, etc. I worked at a telephone help service for Blizzard a few years back. They gave us great benefits ( including free World of Warcraft membership for one account ) and it was very fun. I have talked with a huge variety of players and people in general. Just look at the aspects which support the game industry itself as well. As for your drawing issue, it doesn't take much to learn 3D modeling with blender or Maya. I just watched several you tube videos on the subject then practiced what I saw in my free time until I could do it without checking back to the video. Jagex has some openings right now in the following areas: 3D Modeller Animator Executive Games Producer GUI Artist Game Content Developer Games Designer Pixel Artist Some companies, like Jagex, will train you if you show a willing attitude towards the gaming industry and learning to work in it.

I started working on a java/mysql/php system where I can do certain things within a java applet, it will export it to a mysql database, then i can read my report through the web. It is just part of a game I am working on so yeah. I am using the JBDC library for the Java side then displaying it using php. I have a single user working prototype, I just need to get it working with multiple users.

This reminds me of the documentary called "Second Skin". It touches upon video game fantasy worlds in relation to the real world. It is a good documentary. I watched it like 20 times, but that was because I had to do a 10-page paper on it for my psychology class.

I think the new client will be a standalone application which still uses the same cache files. I am 90% sure it will produce higher performance in game. Java is a memory hog so yeah. Now, being a developer of the Micro, I can study how they did it and possibly myself and Jason (Developer of SK) can include and maybe embed it in our own clients to speed things up! :D. I would like to see API's where developers can, using a developers ID key, access read only variables of the game. For example, they could put all of the chats in the game into separate servers. If they were to do this, they could provide an read-only access url, something like "chat22.runescape.com/devkey=34343ffffw". Developers could then parse the data into a label or text box and then stream the chat to a toolkit like SK. I would like to be able to stream the chat in game onto the LCD on my G15 keyboard. I created an add on in wow which does that, but I don't think Jagex will ever break out of their shell.

I have the Logitech g15 keyboard. It has three sets of six programmable keys. Each key can take the function of another button or group of buttons. Many people who have this keyboard use the "G-keys" and remap a few of them to act as mouse keys. They can set the dpi of their mice and easily do repetitive tasks like drop logs, combine potions, etc, and they have never been banned. Honestly, any way they try and combat these players who have these technologies will ultimately result in a deprivation of fun for other players. They will either add a "do-x" function in Herb lore reducing the experience rates even more so causing less excitement in an already bland skill.

Just because the server is in Java, it doesn't mean the client has to be. If the new client can actually pull more then 30 fps on max graphics, then I will use it. If they are building a client that is for players who don't have access to java then logically we must assume that it will not be in java.

In one of the recent Q&A's one of the mods stated the fact that the new client will be able to run Runescape without using java.

All it is is a copy of java and the Runescaoe exe file from the downloads section. The one they are working on is most likely written in c++ and will have a nice UI.

I got a 32 on the ACT's. It was really easy to be honest. You just have to know some formulas. In my Cisco class, we made lengths of cat5 cable , strait through to be exact. I was one of few who did it only using two RJ-45 male connectors ( one for each end). Tomarrow we do the female end / termination end.

I spent most of the day re0installing software on my computer ( Sony Vegas, Adobe CS4, ManyCam, VLC ,ccleaner, ect) after downgrading back to XP from 7. I played some wow, recorded some clips for my chat roulette video ,and I am rendering the video as we speak. I also did some cable management. Now my cables in my computer are nicely ran after spending 20 bucks on various connectors to extend various cables.

I would like to see untrappable armor and weapons that can not be traded, but can be used on pvp. They could honestly create so much more dungeons with bosses and monsters which are relevant to the team going through the instance. They can put so much more content in game though instanced dungeons/bosses.

This girl and I have started playing together on the Whisperwind realm. She is a level 80 ret pally and I am going to work on a surv hunter. I got to level 15 today in 6 hours of game play. She buffed and revived me when I died which was pretty helpful. I ope to get 20 tomorrow and get my mount and crap.

Welcome to RuneScape. :mrgreen: But seriously, people complain about every update, whether good or bad. It's been like this for the past 8 years I have been playing.
