Well, it seems to me like I'm going to be a bit frail, so I might want the charge-centric Sword rather than the nonlethal damage conversion of the Shield so I can get in and out of combat fast.

Venerable Cavalier it is. Order of the Shield, Sword, Lion, or Dragon? Dragon seems like it might cause my alignment to conflict with the tenets of my Order. Lion would require a change to Lawful Good. Hrm, Shield or Sword, Shield or Sword... Seems like Shield would be a tank/stupid-teammate-butt-saver, while Sword would be more of a traditional knight. What would be more beneficial to the group? Also, what are class skills?

Using the Tesla Coil concept, perhaps you could have the magnetic field thingy built into a suit or something and then use a weapon with projectiles capable of converting it to electricity? Might be better than the Blitz if you could get it the same range, since only one projectile would need to impact and it would immediately electrify. Dunno, just brainstorming.
