  1. 1. Protect on anything that deals damage to you. You can flash protection prayers to defend versus multipe enemies using different attack styles or flash to conserve prayer. A protect prayer should be up before the enemies attack animation starts to provide protection. This means if you're fighting a high level necro and a high level forgotten ranger you can pray mage before the necros attack, then range before the rangers and protect from both. As for boost you should always peity/turmoil flash. You need to have the prayer activated before your attack animation starts but after that you can turn it off. The best way I personally gauge it is using the exp bar. It needs to be activated for the tick when the exp is given, not for any others. 2. It's enough to ZMI. 3. I personally only do this when running paths. If I notice a mage that would unhood me as I run through then I take it off as I run through the room then re-equip it at the end. What is even better is if you can get a helm slot item from the start table or from a drop that you can equip as you run through those rooms. That way you don't leave you inventory/prayer pages. This is an advanced method though and you shouldn't attempt it if it will slow you down at all. There are much more important things to be aware of when room running such as correct protection prayers or safespotting. 4. There are too many monsters for me to be detailed about this. Reading the third bind guide that Obt wrote could help though.
  2. What is your best moneymaking method? The very best thing to do depends on your income.
  3. I would go with turm. Remember, you also get SS. No more food needed for slayer ever.
  4. You would never go deflector and gloves at WFS because you should use either SS, ZS or CM to kill them and they are all two handed weapons.
  5. It's Mage based range. It's accuracy is based on mage defense but the hit itself is ranged. Shades in dunge have the same mechanic. Dunge skeletal mages use range based Mage. There are a few other examples Out there. I personally wear elite void top, bottom and slayer helm for the Mage defense and prayer bonus.
  6. that's a very intriguing observation, perhaps it's a function of how many monsters you in particular killed. or maybe it's a function of the monsters you were around. we could have a leech follow the GD's and not kill anything and double check. then we could have a leech run to a far corner of the map far away from GD's and check again. I'd really like to know what comes of this test; level mod doesn't affect base experience, though, does it? according to KB Points Mod - your skill and combat level, modified by how many creatures you left alive on a raid I wouldn't trust the kb. Definitely something worth testing. I volunteer to leech.
  7. I would do LRC. They aren't good charms, cash, effigies or even slayer exp but they are really worth doing for one reason. They are the best melee exp of any task. Also, selling your bcp/tassy and using veracs + prossy + fury + claws + peity would be much faster and generally better.
  8. Edit: I think I misunderstood you, sorry. I see what you're saying now and that makes more sense.
  9. Piety speeds your tasks up a lot. Certainly more then upgrading to fury would. I seriously suggest you look into it.
  10. You should get a zerker ring too then. Also you might consider prossy top and verac skirt so that you can piety everything. Edit: If you don't already piety everything.
  11. The fury. May I ask what your other gear is?
  12. Vilandra did noticed it on one of her accounts and discovered that cannon accuracy is effected by both your range level and the highest attack bonus of your weapon. This means that your cannon will hit more often if you have 99 range and are wielding a maul then then with 80 range and a rapier. However it won't increase the max hit of the cannon so the boost isn't huge. As for the exact formula, I'm not sure what it is.
  13. Yes, this BXPW has been massively anticipated. It's why so many prices have been a rollercoaster lately.
  14. If you range bring three and uses curses. You're right, ss is great during the caves.
  15. It's never a waste of you can make a reasonable amount of money and/or you have a lot of dg tokens anyway. On tasks such as Daggonths, the benefit of using the rapier is small, and besides, lets not forget that tokens have a value for experience. Theoretically, you could boost your experience gains by 10%, assuming you'd already gotten all the rewards and ring upgrades you wanted. Don't forget that rapier improves cannon accuracy as well.
  16. The best wave/surge spall you can, with chaotic staff, full slayer helm, arcane stream, leech magic, boosting potions or a wolper familiar. Ahrims is good, the degrading cost is nothing compared to the money spent on runes. SoL is a good replacement for CS but FSH and ASN are really nessesary. Also boosting potions and prayer are very important, they improve your dps by a lot. Gaunts are bad. Slayer dart is bad.
  17. Get a rapier. Maul should be next. After that your dunge level should be high enough that you should get at least t9 in berzerker ring and a secondary ring. Also, rapier works well at TDS. In my experience is is about equal to maul. The difference is that maul is easier to switch with. I only prefer maul because I use void so then I only swap two items. Of course, none of this is an issue if you use a program to help you switch and then rapier should be taken. Maul works very well at bandos and is an awesome weapon for tanking because it makes ss flashing really easy. I use less brews with a maul and ss flashing then with a rapier and a shield. It also has higher DPS then CLS. The best bados combo is maul for Graar and rapier on minions. Since you say that you Bandos a lot I would look at getting either a maul or rapier. As for nexing I don't have personal experience but I hear you pretty much need ranger boots and EEK is considered wellfare. In fact, spectral would probably be better then EEK. You can also sell spectral back when you feel like upgrading whereas you are stuck with EEK. That being said, spectral is also wellfare. Link comparing spectral with EEK
  18. Vine whip spec/ Ivandis flail swap for killing vyrewatch. Likewise I've heard good things about Vine Whip spec/full veracs switch for pking. This is a little off topic but, HappyBunyip, if you're in DGS then eventually you will have far more tokens then you know what to do with.
  19. False. Luck has very little to do with it. 85-99 farming for example should net around 300m. It's all a willingness to take advantage of available moneymaking methods. If someone does dalies and farms a lot of herbs they shouldn't have money problems.
  20. Then you have been powerslaying too much. :P It still profits a fair amount. Unless you bank all ashes/dbones or you get lucky with ROW/slayer drops or bother doing clues and get lucky you don't currently break even with slayer. I don't use a cannon/piety/extremes and I am barely making enough to repair my rapier, let alone prayer pot costs for beasts/dragons/black demons. So if all you are after is money id advise against slaying, unless you have a yak to bank ashes/dbones (the only consistent cash from slayer) Try farming between some sort of boss hunting (whatever you feel comfortable with) You must be doing it wrong. I slay with ext/turm/cannon and profit slightly.
  21. CM is faster, but CLS is better for people who are looking to profit from the task.
  22. Cheeesy was talking about the new trio lure being trivia.
  23. The trick with corp is that you lose in the short term but profit in the long term. It's better to use brews and overloads because banking less means you have more chance to be around for a drop. I agree that corp is great fun though, just keep your hp high and it should all be good. I like to stay around 600 so I can SS back up when he's not targeting me. I have to boost for overloads so my supply of them is low. The thing is I don't know if I went through all of them if I would end up profiting. Therefore I'm cautious with corp (: I agree that over a long period of time you will profit and make it big- the question is can you make it big before you run out of resources. Which is pro mhing clans want over 91 herblore, they don't want people being conservative with their overloads.
