How do you decide what features to add to a big update like this given that so many updates are filled with unused parts or are entirely unused? Can we form dunge parties from citadels?

If you are using a shield then it doesn't really matter. You should be using a defender. Rapier > korsais > dragon scimitar Also whip on controlled is good.

This so much. Often people do flesh floors without having a hexer in the team and I personally think it's really stupid because you run the risk of getting necro. If you get two flesh and one necro you would lose any time "saved" by doing flesh, if you save any time at all. Most of us don't have hexes and most flesh teams don't have hexes, so necro really slows down floors. It's not that hard for keyers and dpsers to coordinate while doing thundy.

What if it was an instanced area? That could be useful for DGS as many people dung on either 151 or 99 so having a central hub would be useful. Other then that, won't effect me too much. Shame they think this is going to be significant.

Take the average max hit on a slayer task and the average lp of a slayer monster on an optimized tasklist to find out how much it improves your DPS on average. Right?

No! Make untradeabled asap. Just be realistic about it. 2k spec rests, 1k super antifires, 2k ext attack and strength and 1200 defense, magic and range. This way you have mote then enough for daily use and more then enough for overloads. Spread it out like that and you will be fine. You spend a little more bit you set yourself up for much more efficient combat. You shouldn't be worried about wasting your pots, that's why you make so many.
