Journey is really attracting me towards a PS3, but it's not worth the one game - are there enough exclusive and good titles to justify it? It really depends on how often you are able to spend money on games. As far as exclusives go: Yes, Sony always has the best exclusives every year, BUT, it all comes down to your personal preference and what kind of gamer you are. If you're a very social/online gamer, the 360 is the better console. (ps3's dashboard and other online features leave something to be desired). But if you like a mix of online AND see a good deal of exclusives that you think you might like, a ps3 is definitely worth it, especially given it is also a blu-ray player. If Journey is the only game that has caught your eye though, then I would say just stick with whatever it is you're using right now. The console isn't worth one game alone, just as the 360 isn't either.

I was excited at first, but after reading into the articles and finding out that it is confirmed to be just another hotbar styled MMO; I quickly lost interest. No thank you. I wanted a TES MMO, not another generic MMO with a franchise's name slapped on it.

I haven't been here for a while, so as an update; I got Journey over a week ago. I swear it is the best $15 I've spent on a game. It is an amazing experience that I recommend for anyone with a ps3 and some spare cash.

Being the only one in the house hold who gives my grams (she's housing me while I attend college and the sort) any money, and yet I'm still the one who gets all the shit for things. For context, my grams has trouble saying no, so not only do I live here, but so do 2 of my older uncles, one is getting to be middle-aged and the other is older. They do not pay her a dime, ever. The younger being my grams son does nothing but take money off of her every month and doesn't repay any of it. I give my grams money, and yet, when there are money issues, I take the brunt of the complaints from my grams how we're poor and I need to start doing more to try and get a job (aka, alter my preferred appearance). I just want to slap her and say "Look here, [bleep]. I'm the one who actually gives you money in this house. You don't see me taking any actual money either, do you?" But since I'm an introvert, I just ignore her and go climb my tree to read or listen to music to forget about it. Sorry for the mini-rant, I was getting pissed off after she [bleep]ed at me for buying myself a CD (Music is more important to me than almost anything else in my life, so excuse me for buying something I'm passionate about). /end rant.

And the krogans who think they can melee a full-healthed atlas, banshee and a pack of ravagers and pyros. I really don't like krogan teammates now <_< Even when I am a Krogan, I steer clear of melee when I've got more than 2 enemies at hand. And anyone who wants to melee a Banshee...well...they can go do that. See how it works for them without the ability to roll/dodge backwards. >.>

I remember reading this my first time visiting the Tavern before I made an account here on Tip.it O_o (Nex was trying to convince me to join at the time) Where did that quote go? I could have sworn it was stickied back then. :( EDIT: Or maybe my mind was just fuzzy. I found the introduction quote back on the last page of the Tavern. Tis different than this one. My bad. Still though, it was an awesome introduction.

While I agree with you Mather that being the GM DOES give you the final say; It really doesn't hurt to listen to your players as well and get a feel for what they want out of the game too. This will not only help them, but you as well as your game will become successful, possibly grab the attention of those who were just "on the line" of whether or not to play it when they get good feed back from other players, etc... But yes, if something is game breaking, or just against the basic structure of your game, then by all means, a flat out "no" should be listened to. BUT, if players are asking politely or requesting you add something into the game, it would do well to at least listen, and even have debates on whether it would work or not. (What was going on your Prototype thread is an example of how NOT to debate over game mechanics as it drove away players) In the end, doing this will create an enjoyable experience for both the players and the GM.

Finally got my Quarian Engineer. Nothing is more satisfying than shattering explosions from a Cryo detonation with Incinerate. >:3

Alright guys. I'm going to have to ask you to stop all the arguing. A majority of the thread has been nothing but bickering back and forth. It is Mather's game, what he says goes. If you really disagree with him that much, it's as simple as just not playing, but he is the GM and that makes his authority within the game absolute no matter how much you may or may not like it.

I think I have more love for the conflict between the Geth and Quarians than for the Quarians in general. Although I do like some of their limitations and general geekiness of Tali. But all in all, I always took Garrus with me everywhere. I may not have romanced him, but he's that one guy I knew always had my Shep's back. ALWAYS.

I missed page 666, damn. Anywho, sorry for my lack of activity. I'm having PC troubles and am in the process of replacing this piece of junk. Luck is on my side though, I managed to finally get on it after fiddling in Safe Mode for a while, but it's only a matter of time before it crashes again. (It's old...like...fossil old) And yes, Garrus Vakarian is the greatest thing in the world....outside of Quarians, Geth, Krogan, Salarians, Tali, Mordin, Grunt, Wrex, Shepard, Anderson....hell, let's just say Mass Effect. P.S. This excludes Batarians. Never did like them all that much. Vorcha too. Volus and Elcor I'm on the edge about. Ok, Volus can be love-able only if under the influence and they believe they are biotic gods. That's about it though.
