  1. The luck continues. The three effigies all dropped within 5 kills of each other. Effigyscape returns.
  2. Decided to finally try soloing some Gwars for the first time since EoC was released, lots of luck followed. Also got the mage amulet from Sara but forgot to SS it.
  3. I've said it a few times now, but I don't think this is the case. Sliske, along with all of the Mahjarrat are fiercely loyal to either Zaomorak or Zaros. I really don't believe Jagex are going to go down the "I have the Staff of Armadyl, I'm gonna get me some God powers." path for a third time. Not only would that be boring, but I hope it's too obvious even for Jagex. Azzanadra's dialogue after TWW even states that Sliske wouldn't use such powers to become a God. Lucien tried it and look how far that got him. Osbourne said in the Q&A that the Deagonkin gave Sliske the staff - not the stone. Sliske himself saw what happened when Lucien used the stone so why would he risk doing the same thing?
  4. There's no way to get an impartial view of any God.
  5. We totally need a dedicated lore thread. Or just add 'Lore Discussion' onto the end of this one.
  6. The intention of the article wasn't to provide new unheard of information, it was simply to gather all of the events that have and could have happened into one article and inform players who possibly weren't as well informed of past and current events. @Jollyroger If Jagex were to implement their own gambling system it would have to be strictly Gp to Gp gambling. It would differ from the SoF in the sense that real money wouldn't be involved whatsoever. The only contentious issue that could be disastrous are the odds that Jagex would use. To keep things unpredictable, I would suggest a randomised odds system that changes every week/day.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if they just gave it to us regardless of how much essence is gathered.
  8. The shitstorm over TWW was not because there was a delay, but why there was a delay. All they'd have to do to avoid such a scenario again is to get their priorities straight and not flagrantly lie to their players. Easy enough. I found the God of Control answer to be troubling. In what sense is Zaros the God of Control? If anything, he seems to be a much more unadulterated and untainted version of everything Zammy is. Darkness? Chaos? Power/Strength? All the other God Wars' Gods are absolutely terrified of him. Sure, I could buy any of those. But Control seems to be out of nowhere. The Control moniker fits Saradomin more, to be honest. Saradomin has already demonstrated some controlling tendencies, and he's already the God of Order, which is one step removed from 'Control'. I actually agree to be honest. There is a fine line between control and order. It would make sense for Zamorak to embody everything Zaros doesn't though; he did, after all, betray him for a reason. Quite a few years ago, before Zaros was even a well known name, I seem to remember a player asking a question about what Zaros embodied, and the answer was that Zaros' command structure and kingdom wasn't dissimilar to the Roman Empire. It seems to me right now that Zaros is basically the God version of a monarch. He doesn't want to just be worshipped by other races, he wants to have absolute control over their everyday lives and what they do. I really hope they go into what race Zaros was before he was a God, if hes as old - if not older than Saradomin, he can't be from any current known race. Also, if all non Elder Gods were once mortal, I'm starting to think Saradomin was a male Iceyene when he was mortal. Osbourne also implied that he was on the Iceyene homeworld before the edicts were broken.
  9. If they did that or even mildly hinted to a month in which to expect a certain quest, the unfathomable shitstorm that would ensue if said content was delayed would be so huge that it would make the one week delay of TWW look like a drop in the ocean. The best answer that Osbourne gave in his Q&A was the final confirmation that Zaros is the God of control. I wish someone had asked the question of whether we would ever visit Freneskae though.
  10. But Mod Osborne said that a new NPC would ascend to Godhood. Sliske seems to be a likely candidate, no? Given Slike's treacherous nature, that'd be his final betrayal/renege to finally turn on Zaros. Besides, if he thinks he killed Guthix, I doubt he much fears Zaros anymore. Osbourne also said that the NPC in question was already present and could be talked to in-game. Sliske cannot be talked to whenever we want. There's also quite a few people who think Sliske wants to usurp Zaros and isn't scared of him etc. Whilst I'm not Jagex, all of the dialogue of the Zarosian Mahjarrat in-game practically tells us that Azzanadra, Akthanakos etc, all hold Zaros in high regard. Not because they fear him, but because the have undying respect and loyalty towards him. I give Jagex more credit than to recycle the 'SWEETELDERWEAPONMEBECOMEGODNOW' plot again. It was the foundation of Zamorak becoming a God and was again used by Lucien, it's bordering on becoming a formulaic plot device.
  11. It's worth noting that RuneScape is one of the only MMO's where death can potentially result in complete loss of your items. I'm not against a revamp of the gravestone system, but I AM completely against a system that results in players being able to take the items of someone who dies.
  12. I think it was more the fact that It says captain when it's clearly a morale cremember.
  13. Speaking of auto's, does anyone know the rough price of them at the moment? The last range pair I got, I sold for 25m. Are the prices stable or are they dropping?
  14. Considering the dialogue of Temple of Senntisten and Azzanadra's general attitude towards us, I would say that WE are the vessel that Zaros intends to use to return. In regards to Sliske, Jagex have already hinted that Sliske most likely doesn't intend to use the staff to become a God, let alone usurp Zaros. Obviously we don't know much at this point, but considering how level minded the Zarosian Mahjarrat are with the exception of Sliske, I can't see Zaros being anything but respectful of his most powerful allies.
  15. I'm quite looking forward to Warbands myself. As good as quests are, I'd rather see what other content they are producing and how it will relate to the gods. After all, as they have stated quite a few times now, most, if not all actual game content released this year will relate to the Gods; not just quests.
  16. But most important of all, Osbourne called it a multiverse, therefore my prediction is definitely going to happen.
  17. I really like the outfit personally, the only thing stopping me from wearing it, like all cosmetic outfits, is they have no stats so they can't be worn in combat. They should have been made overrides but I can deal with just the sword.
  18. With all this new lore about The Gods being world hoppers and being able to come and go as they please, I really hope that Jagex give us a reason as to why Gielinor is so special that all of these Gods are willing to bend over backwards to claim it. All we know is the History of Gielinor video states that the Elder Gods created the perfect world when they made it and Guthix similarly called it a paradise. All Gods care about are followers though, and as far as we know, not a single sentient species is actually native to Gielinor, so wouldn't it make more sense for Saradomin to go after Earth? Future Update - We repair the sword and open a portal to Earth to bring in the military and WMD's to destroy Saradomin. You heard it here first.
  19. You just know that the 'bookcase' is going to contain some really underwhelming information that wasn't even worth finding out.
  20. I never realised there was even a mechanic to fighting Enakra, I just face rolled my keyboard until she stopped healing and surrendered.
  21. Out of curiosity, has Bandos actually ever been referred to anywhere or by anyone as a 'he'? The Goblins just refer to him/her as the Big High War God or whatever it is. If Tuska isn't Bandos then I would have to agree with a previous post and suggest that Tuska is the God that Bandos killed to become one. Jagex seem to be fleshing out Saradomin more than the other God's right now, and it's making me question his goals and motives. I'm hoping they do the same with Zamorak and explore his history Pre-Godhood; let's go to Freneskae please. Either way, these origin stories are pretty interesting.
  22. I thought that was Bandos?
  23. All these Black Ibis drops make me die a little inside.
  24. I doubt it. Guthix refers to them as 'the nomad'. The one we know is simply known as Nomad which, as the N is capitalised, is his actual name. Of course, if they are the same person, it just means Jagex's grammatical skills are bad.
