As much as I love the new system I wish Jagex had put more thought into bosses. As it stands now, fighting TD's is just a mess. The cool down penalty from switching weapons makes abilities almost entirely redundant as you have to wait for them all to recharge when you swap from Melee to Range/Mage. They either need to remove the penalty from that area or take the protect prayers away from TD's otherwise they just make no sense to fight. The only 'bug' I've come across so far is you can't make-x on putting potions into flasks meaning you have to do them all individually. Edit: Oh and the 'cast a confuse spell' task is impossible to complete. It's the last one I need for Taskmaster but it won't budge.

Like I said earlier, they supposedly drop from TD's but it isn't confirmed. Your best bet is to periodically check RS wiki (not the official one) to see if it gets updated.

Bugs are to be expected with such huge changes. Give it a week. Also enter to talk makes a lot of sense considering you can now bind letters into abilities. If you hide action bars, you can type without pressing enter. Give it a week? A week will do what when they had 6 months already? and I dont care how much sense it makes, enter to talk is still annoying as [bleep]. Jagex have around 400 employees, of which less than 10% of those even worked on or tested the EoC on a daily basis. The live game has thousands of players logged in simultaneously, bugs will be missed no matter how much they play purely because they don't have enough people to test it.

Everything except the Snails seem to be weak to melee as well which just makes it that much more straightforward. Also, to anyone that still hasn't maxed the two hard NPC's, I suggest you do it now. They are gaining 2 levels per trek even at level 70+.

I'm actually worried that this has made the game too easy lol. Obviously they are going to be tweaking it over the coming months but when I can kill any monster in Temple trekking in one hit including level 230 Vyrewatch, it just seems unbalanced.

Take it with a pinch of salt as I heard it from an unconfirmed source, but Dragon limbs apparently drop from Tormented Demons.

Behind the Scenes: Special Edition
I was surprised they put a mention of eastern lands in the BTS...unless they suddenly changed their minds (which I very much doubt), we won't be seeing any bit of the eastern continent, it's just the lore explanation where the sailors in your POP get their materials from... ...Right, so why would that not warrant mentioning? I guess he means in terms of mentioning the Eastern Lands at all, players are going to inevitably read too much into it and expect an actual new landmass. I'd bet my life savings on there being at least one thread on the RSOF complaining that Jagex lied to them about the Eastern Lands when the real problem is they don't know how to read. I'm really not sure what you're on about. The Eastern Lands most certainly originally were supposed to be a new landmass. Seeing as how this is the first mention of them in quite a while, it sounds like they've been relegated to be conveniently "tied off" as the backstory for ports, in which case anyone who remembers the original announcement does have cause to be disappointed. I guess I'm the only one who watched the live streams then. They stated in one of them that the actual Eastern Lands are still a project that they want to do in the future but they want to finish fleshing out the main game first. PoP's making reference to the eastern lands is supposed to be a form of solid backstory as a means to introduce the fact that they do exist and we will visit them eventually.

As someone who doesn't, and never will play WoW, can you explain how weapon proficiencies work in it?

Behind the Scenes: Special Edition
Elves isn't an option, they've stated multiple times that it's a massive project and won't be done in 2013. Out of the options given, I think I'd have to go with the Vampyre storyline. When Darkmeyer was released they said that the next quest wouldn't be the last so we would hopefully see at least two quests out of it. I hope they run a guaranteed content poll for it to be honest, I just hope they don't go with the Penguin storyline, I never really got the appeal of it.

Behind the Scenes: Special Edition
Interesting concept, I wonder how they'll make this simply non-attractive to Melee Combattees. Pretty simple. They will just make all the monsters only weak to Ranged attacks.

Behind the Scenes: Special Edition
That is one pretty amazing list. I guess it just goes to show that they were obviously holding out on releasing this kind of content until the EoC went live. If it is being released a little prematurely I can understand why they wanted to get it out the door. On the GM quest being released next year, expect it to be released around the start of January if not the first week of 2013. The reason being is; in the lore live stream Mark stated that next year the in-game year will change for the first time from 169 to 170 so it would tie in nicely as a start of year update and January has traditionally (recently anyway) had some pretty big updates. Anyway, looking forward to PoP's more than anything, closely followed by all the God related stuff next year, if all the content mentioned makes it in next year I can easily see it being one of the best years the game has ever seen.

15th Nov - Evolution of Combat: Loyalty Shop Sale
On the contrary, I have a suspicion that they are doing such massive discounts because they are planning on shifting all the loyalty shop content over to Solomon's store. It's rather cynical to think so, but they haven't updated it in months and Solomon's store has pretty much replaced it with the exception of aura's.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
They stated the reason why they didn't want to just give every weapon an off-hand equip option was so they could make seperate off-hand versions and add them as new drops to existing monsters and give players the chance to smith some new items and make money from them. To me, it just seems like they are artificially inflating the amount of equipment in-game, especially when you consider you now have to get (assumedly) 400k Dg tokens to get two different versions of the same weapon. Edit: Platinum beat me to it.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
This is exactly what I was getting at earlier. Back on topic though, I haven't had a chance to check the beta for a while but is there a method in game yet to get off-hand Dragon darts or is there an option to choose between main and off hand when you add feathers to the dart tips?

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I'm starting to think you are just arguing for the sake of it to be honest, I don't understand what your stance is. You personally prefer the EoC but want people to continuously post one sentence comments that ARE by their very nature pointless comments on a General Discussion forum. As you said further down in your post, these kinds of comments have been around since the start of RuneScape and yes, you are right. Do you know what all these comments have in common? They are almost always part of the vocal minority and don't represent the majority of the player base. Even if they did, Jagex's survey of the players at the end of the tutorial has emphasized true statistics; most players prefer, don't mind or equally like EoC over the live game. Before you say "Well, players who don't like the beta won't log in to the worlds to complete the survey" I wouldn't waste your breath, it is a perfect opportunity for them to voice their dislike of the EoC using an outlet that would make a difference. But players saying "The beta sucks, it's just copying other games like WoW, I'm done with Rs" isn't being close minded at all is it? Obviously not, going by your logic. When the Beta worlds were released Jagex made it absolutely clear that the EoC would be replacing the old combat system. I don't know if you have seen the EoC forums on the RSOF but your comments lead me to believe that you haven't otherwise you would see the myriad of threads where players have stated they don't like the current state of the EoC but offer sound advice and criticism to Jagex which is much more elaborate than "[bleep] you Jagex, RIP Rs 2001-2012" Traps? You seem to be grasping at straws, this isn't a win-lose situation between players that like and dislike the beta. They are assumptions to the extent that Jagex has explicitly stated numerous times that the game needs to be changed in such a way to preserve the games future. If you can honestly say that RuneScape's current combat system isn't dated OR competent enough to attract or even keep players when compared to the combat system of any other MMO out there, then it is you that is close-minded. Again, it just looks like you are arguing for arguments sake and sitting on the fence. You keep saying that you support the EoC but then vehemently defend players that have nothing to offer except for a statement that they are quitting. I'm not aligning my preferences with the greater good, my preference is the EoC, which is the new system. Are you now saying I'm being selfish and wrong to like the new system over the old one? I honestly have no idea what you mean now, what reeks of desperation? You also seem to be misunderstanding my posts, if anything I am encouraging people to dislike the beta as much as people like it because I want to see what they dislike about it to see if they have valid concerns. If it wasn't for such criticisms there probably wouldn't even be a momentum ability at all, and this is the kind of feedback that Jagex values. Everyone has the right to voice their dislike with the game in any way they want, but that doesn't make it a good thing. Another classic case of selective reading. If you had actually read anything I have written on this topic so far, you would realize that I have nothing against people that don't like the beta and I do sympathize with players that don't or can't like it. Here is the part that you want to read more than once as you seem to have missed it multiple times. One line statements being posted on a forum board that values discussion, hold NO discussion value, at all. This doesn't mean that I have some kind of vendetta against players that don't like the EoC it means I don't like to waste my time reading the same statement every day when I want to read thoughtful posts on the subject.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Except there is something wrong with it. Obviously, everyone is allowed to not like the EoC if they so please, I'm not going to judge someone for not liking something that I do and I would actually like to converse with them to see their point of view. But this is where the problem begins; Making statements like you described above hold absolutely no discussion value whatsoever and it has become tiresome seeing the same handful of statements without any attempt to explain WHY they don't like it. if they don't offer examples of why or what they dont like because it fundamentally destroys the game for them, what do they achieve by posting such drivel? No, it isn't a statement to Jagex because they disregard anything that isn't constructive and want to focus on modernising the game to keep it alive. I would rather a minority group of players quit and have the game survive into the future than see the game crumble in a years time because they decided to keep the old system. That isn't selfish, it's the greater good. If people don't or can't understand why this is being done then yes, they are ignorant. I sympathise with such players too, the combat system IS being heavily changed, but there is still no point in posting comments that contribute nothing but a statement that nobody cares about.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
He may have been a little aggressive but he has perfectly valid points. People are starting to get tired of ignorant players who probably haven't even tried EoC constantly complaining about how detrimental the update will be to the RuneScape they know and love. As others and Jagex themselves have said, RuneScape needs this kind of restructuring to the quite frankly archaic and very dated combat system. The game isn't bringing in as many new players as it used to and this will hopefully entice an influx of new players to start. Quite simply, this update is going to happen and nobody wants to hear individuals saying Rs is dead, they are quitting, it's copying other games etc. If people care enough to complain then is it really that hard to ask them to at least provide some constructive criticism instead of repeating the same baseless and useless comment 1000x over? Also, I'm not personally attacking you at all but would it hurt to use paragraphs in your posts? It's far easier to read when it isn't a giant wall of text.
