Og Blog: Upcoming Changes to the EoC
This is exactly what I meant in my previous post. Nex's difficulty in relation to the boss NPC's below her and the gap in armour tier between them being only 10 levels is just poor design.

Og Blog: Upcoming Changes to the EoC
Whilst I agree that bosses are too easy now, there are so many problems with what Jagex are doing. -Pre EoC, bosses were still rediculously easy, yet people didn't seem bothered by it at all. -Nex may be the hardest boss in the game currently (not counting KK) and that is a problem. She drops level 80 gear which isn't end game content. This creates major problems for releasing 90+ gear in the future. -If you need the absolute best gear available in the game to go bossing, and said armour isn't attainable by players that can use it, that IS a problem. If you need Nex gear to kill Nex then that is simply very bad game design. -Everything with the exception of discontinued items loses value over time as better items are released. Jagex is artificially extending the lifespan of these items because they have nothing to release to justify the falling prices. Of course Nex armour shouldn't be available to everyone, but it should at least be a reachable goal. Of course, this is probably all just redundant conjecture as, knowing Jagex, when they say you'll need the best gear to tackle the buffed bosses the reality will be very different.

Og Blog: Upcoming Changes to the EoC
I get the feeling that you wouldn't criticise Jagex even if they decided to wipe your stats and delete your bank. As much as I usually agree with your views it's getting tiresome to see that you somehow think yourself better than others for not uttering a bad word about Jagex. If you love them, that's fine, but snide remarks about people that have genuine gripes with the game is just petty.

Og Blog: Upcoming Changes to the EoC
Why is it, (and it's been this way ever since I started in 2003) that Jagex only ever listen to player feedback when it suits their own views? As much as I like Jagex and want to support them, when they refuse to listen to players and think they know what's best it just irritates me. They may program and write the code for the game, but they sure as hell don't play it recreationally as much as they need to so they can understand how retarded they can be.

Wut.

So the resurrect ability is completely pointless then? Why bother putting in an ability like that if the end result is an undead husk that has worse stats than a T1 crew member.

That's actually not too bad. I had a 6500-all regular mission in Scythe the other day which I managed to get around 75%-ish on. Yeah, I find the requirement to be surprisingly low too, which is surprising considering the stats and boosts that the Judge gives (if the wiki is to be believed) are pretty crazy.

4-1-2013 Bots and Cheaters Banned
If the port bugs were being abused by a small group of players, why didn't they use it to advance to the pincers and then leak it? It can't be because it would be obvious they were cheating because that is already the case. Has there actually been any word from Jagex themselves confirming or discussing anyone circumventing the ports system to gain an unfair advantage?

3-Jan-2013 - God Statues: Construction D&D
Yeah, buried away at the end with no images and only a paragraph's worth of description. In December's BTS, even Solomon's store got more of a build up than this update. It was barely noteworthy last month with the TzHaar quest and PoP, and is even less so in the January schedule with Kalphite King and the new Kharidian task set. There was nothing in the way Jagex built up God Statues to make anyone think it was ever going to be anything more than a very pedestrian, regular update. Ok? There's no need to be so aggressive, I was correcting your mistake, I never made any comments on the quality of the update itself lol.

3-Jan-2013 - God Statues: Construction D&D
It was actually in the December BTS. Glad there was a bug with the exp rates, 5k exp per statue at level 83 con really isn't worth it for a monthly D&D when you compare it to Troll Invasion.

I dont understand what there is to get bored of. At most it takes 5 minutes to log in, check your voyages and log out / send off more voyages. At a time when I have little to no spare minutes of a day to play properly, PoP's are a perfect way for me to still be doing something good in the game that takes no time at all.

Has anyone actually recruited the Judge of Dice yet? Really curious as to what his traits are / how you get him. It's obviously old news now but after completing the voyage to unlock the witch it displayed a picture of the judge and not the sea witch.

Just got my third ship with 99% on the hook region. There's no way I'll be able to stretch my crew to do three cwood voyages simultaneously.

Yeah, I would much rather get the Barnaid over the assassin random.

Your thoughts of 2 NEW RS SKILLS
Ah right there you said you guessed it was going to be about pock... Wait a second you guessed Archeology and Engineering? Oh you silly boy! Ok, first of all, you quoted the wrong person, I'm not Sy_Accursed. Secondly, you probably should read more carefully instead of skimming posts; that way you won't look like a 'silly boy' when you quote the wrong person entirely. Taken from the exact same page. I didn't 'trow' it out, it was confirmed on the FAQ which was subsequently posted on this thread as a screenshot.

http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?15,16,985,64141226 Um...ok? We already knew one of the new skills was going to utilise the pocket slot. I even said it on this very page.

I think... I don't know. I disagree with you. I mean I know where you are coming from and agree on perspective, but with the solution I think not. I think having it where you can set the loadout potential of each of the three normal voyage slots would be much more versatile. That way you could operate under the assumption that one ship focuses on the scythe (slot 1), another on the hook (slot 2) and a third ship on the scythe again (slot 3). So to say you would maybe have the option to focus on three different areas. The way it would work though would stay the same such as the slot focused on the scythe region would still have the potential of getting voyages from the lower regions like it is now. I should have thought of this lol. This would be ideal actually, it would still let you send any ship on any voyage and leave the chance of getting lower tier voyages when you're focused on a higher one. Also @Sy, quite simple really, just put the leftover voyage(s) on one ship so one has slightly more than the other. Or they could just increase the amount of voyages you get incrementally depending on how many ships you have.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Jagex need to let us change the focus of each individual ship instead of the focus being a broad option that applies to them all. The only difficulty I see with this though is that voyages are shared between all of your ships. I think a system where they split the 15 daily voyages up between the available ships would make things much more versatile.

Your thoughts of 2 NEW RS SKILLS
They said they will share a similar relationship, not precisely that one will gather one will finish. No. They said 1 WILL be gathering like mining, woodcutting, hunting, fishing etc. and 1 WILL be finishing like smithing, fletching etc. and that they WILL NOT be a pair that directly link like mining smithing, woodcutting fletching, fishing cooking etc. do. It's not even a vague up for debate issue they have expressly said in several of the videos we ARE GETTING a gathering skill and a finishing skill. No ifs ands or buts, that is what the two new skills are category wise (out of gathering, finishing, support and combat) So you've got a link, right? Because the last I heard from the Livestreams were that they were similar relationships and not strictly gath/prod skills. You might have gotten things muddled up. Mark said in the live streams himself that one would be a gathering skill and the other finishing. The two skills aren't linked to each other like the paired skills we have now and will instead support other skills. We also know that one of the skills will enable us to create items other than scrimshaws for the pocket slot. I won't be surprised if these are things like God tokens that give various buffs.

I can see why they did it though, and I'm glad they did. If the content was front loaded there would be no effort involved in getting the rewards and no point in exploring all the islands.

I've had two Golems be destroyed and nobody else harmed on two separate occasions so I'm inclined to believe they sacrifice themselves to prevent all possible deaths but thats just two examples.

What even? Tiered memberships for bonus perks
Due to the recent influx of disposable income I have I'll most definitely be getting the year long package. Those perks are just too tasty to ignore.
