  1. Yeah exactly, I know I won't make it to 5B before new skill(s). I might get 200M Hunter/Farming because they seem pretty close. Er didn't they say it might be 2014 till new skills? Seem a long way off and you 'only' need a few more faster 200ms to complete rs Both skills are planned for 2013, one for the first half of year, the other for the second.
  2. It looks exactly like I was hoping it to be, a huge high-level update that finally rewards players for not solely training combat. Really can't wait, have been looking forward to it ever since it was announced. Also, as the melee armour looks to be styled after Samurai, I'm expecting the range armour to be Ninja themed.
  3. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the strange looking NPC in one of the screenies. It looks like a mermaid with legs.
  4. Actually surprised I have all (except Runecrafting) of the minimum requirements for PoP's. It has definitely got to be one of my most looked forward to updates ever. I'm pretty curious as to what the Herblore rewards will be too. I won't be too surprised if we'll be able to make potions that give temporary 100% protection prayers from it to be honest.
  5. What? I don't see it. I think it looks closer to Daedric armour than Dragonbone. I personally like it with the exception of the helmets which look pretty naff imo.
  6. Seeing as multiple people are interested in the same items I would definitely recommend putting all the stuff up on eBay and letting people bid for them.
  7. What's the what looks like a poster next to the unopened shirts? Would actually be quite interested in any art work, especially concept art.
  8. Inb499smithingisneededforfullset I'm actually in the process of training smithing for PoP's so looks like it was a good idea.
  9. Really, ice wings? They could have been more creative.
  10. This. As long as its not breaking some contractual laws with Jagex then by all means you are allowed to post pictures as long as they aren't offensive.
  11. You'll get a lot of interest but without pictures we don't really know what exactly it is that you have.
  12. That's quite a normal amount of drops to be honest, boots drop rate is ~330 so you just got a bit unlucky :( If they have nerfed the drop rates I don't like my chances. I have 1.5k recorded kills and 0 boot drops.
  13. Every monster in the game now has a specific weakness to a certain attack style whether that be crush, stab slash etc. The same goes for magic and ranged. Some monsters are only weak to water spells for example. You can still do damage if you use an attack style it isn't weak to but the best DPS comes from its weakness. So yes, to a certain extent all weapon types are now useful.
  14. Looks like we're getting Obsidian armour with the Tzhaar GM quest.
  15. Edit: The examines are pretty funny. In particular, the boots examine is "Breaks the economy" which I can only assume is a reference to the Climbing Boots fiasco.
  16. Just got a pop-up saying Diango has my exp book from doing the tutorial on the beta servers. 74k exp on any skill unlike the ones in the live game. Haven't received my Mad Scientist outfit yet though.
  17. Tif name: Sylpheed RuneScape name: Sylpheed Picture: I'm not sure how to get rid of the background so sorry about that. Also, this is from the makeover mage as the equipment screen is obviously unusable now.
  18. Sorry, but I'm starting to think you're just a really clever troll because I can't believe anyone would be serious about such trivial things.
  19. Took about two hours to get them both. Funnily enough, they don't degrade like the rest of Gano. I don't know why they're so cheap either, they aren't rare but they certainly aren't common.
  20. I'm not going to pull any punches. It's not just you-- this site (the forums, to be more specific) has been pulling negative for a while. Or rather, it's been a strong tone for far too long. I don't think it started out that way; maybe you don't know who binyam is, but I believe him when he told me the Times was his idea although he didn't get much credit for it. He struck me as a fairly easy-going guy, not a malcontent. I admit I'm being a bit cowardly as this isn't my main persona. But I'm going to say it, flat out, that the Times as a whole needs to move on somewhat. I think Jagex already has. Remember "Biased banning raises eyebrows"? WOW. I was on Staff when that hit, and I remember quite well that Andrew Gower took that pretty personally, and yes, he did threaten a lawsuit (which he recanted on). I don't think he was wholly unjustified; remember the encrypted thumb drives he later promoted? It's a legitimate corporate technology, but players practically crucified him right there on the RSOF, because his incentive dared to suggest microtransaction/RTW-- buy the thumb drive, get some bank space. So then later he sells his shares, makes a R & D company, and people here are wrung their hands "Andrew, you're abandoning us" and the Times can't get off the "Yelps and SoF is dishonorable microtransactions, Jagex lies, Jagex breaks our trust" spiral... ...six year history right there, but...geez, what does the whiny bunch in Runescape want? Seriously, kids, I swear, you'll get jobs, you'll get more life experience, and this stuff will all seem like creampuffs and powdered sugar. Your employer, your acquaintances, maybe your family will pull worse crap than this, but the world goes on. Pardon my tired, trite, cliché expression, but it is just a game, and having serious fun is okay, but if complaining and moaning-- even under the pretense of reporting the complaining and moaning of others, gets tiresome. My life is already pretty stressful without worrying over a game I'm playing to unwind and relax by. Love/hate relationship going here. I came to the forums in 2004 but was using the site guides when I started in 2003. Had to pull back after a while, speaking of the lawsuit thing and all the dirty politics that brought out... wow, I can still remember how w13 and Zybez/RuneScape Community jumped on that mess ("Jagex is talking about Tip.It in their news release, we're not like that", something to that effect), thought it was a rabbit punch then, I still think it's a low blow now. Jagex obviously is turning a blind eye now, they're big enough that it's so much chicken feed, but would you prefer another indirect backhand? Zybez/RSC was right, it was Tip.It leaking passwords (I trust my sources), the users did need to cowboy up and get serious about password security, but... c'mon, if you read this far, I think you should feel sick. Muckraking may get you some short-term attention, but in the long-term, it's already bitten you (Tip.It collectively, I mean), I was there, I tell you, it's a bad plan. I'll admit, it was pretty difficult deciphering what you just said from all the way up there on your high horse. I've been lurking in these forums almost since RS2 was released and joined a few years ago so that may hinder my response and understanding of your apparent hatred of Tip.it. I personally disagree with Storm's article but in terms of the Times overall I don't see where you're coming from. Yes, Runescape is a game intended for fun, but like anything in the world, if people feel strongly enough about something they will voice their likes/dislikes about said product. Like all people that think they are taking the high ground, you assume that everyone other than yourself is a child with no life experience; wrong. Your whole statement about a trusted friend coming up with the idea of the Times baffles me. What exactly did he do, come up with the idea of writing? That must be what you mean, because complaining through a thin veil of contempt about the bad quality of the times is entirely subjective.
  21. Duh, completely forgot about momentum. I'll have to try them again later.
  22. I do find it strange that the limbs are tradable but the completed crossbow isn't. Dragon weapons have never been untradeable except for defender. Also, don't be surprised if there aren't any buying. Although TD's are killable, the EoC reduced their mechanics to a bumbling mess. I killed about five before getting tired of the cool down penalty for switching weapons and left.
  23. DV is F2P, isn't he? F2P'ers don't have access to antifire potions. Of course, there's also only one dragon in F2P, and as far as I'm aware she's still broken. Yes, I am indeed F2P! The Anti-Dragon Shield has been my defensive mainstay for years now, and it's worse than appalling that Jagex has gone and taken it away, as it leaves me without a shield I know and trust to keep me safe. :( On other notes, it isn't the only thing making me want to leave. The fact that Jagex has [bleep]ed F2P over for 7 years in a row now should also be a good indicator of reasons that I would want to leave. Plus, there are a whole slew of extra things that have been turned problematic by the introduction of the EoC, including non-listening controls. In fact, the only reason I haven't left yet is because I've got nowhere to turn the next time I stress out. That, and the fact that I've already come back due to that problem quite a few times already. :wall: ~D. V. "Jagex is too sticky a spider web..." Devnull Can you elaborate on how Jagex has [bleep]ed F2P over for the last seven years?
  24. Is there a reason why there's only a 2H Dragon crossbow? There's a 10 level gap between Armadyl crossbow and Chaotic and an even bigger one from Rune to Arma. Am I missing something really obvious?
  25. My apologies... I should have made it more clear. :( RS:EoC won't let you wield a Staff (Such as the 'Staff of Fire') and the Anti-Dragon Shield together. So my normal configuration is impossible to use now, and I'm blocked from launching into combat how I normally would. :wall: ~D. V. "Hopefully, that isn't as clear as mud?" Devnull Sorry, but I find it amusing that your decision to stay or leave the game is based entirely around being able to equip one certain shield. ~Syl "Who reads these anyway?" pheed
