"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Actually, I'm gonna try and save this discussion some time and assume that the reason you think I'm "deceptive" is because I'm seeking a polyamorous relationship with these girls, while most of these girls are seeking a monogamous relationship. As I mentioned in this post, most women have no idea what they want. Or, they think they want one thing, only to curse it when they finally have it. For example, girl says, "I want a nice guy who will treat me with respect!" 1. Girl gets monogamous with Mr. Nice Guy 2. After the honeymoon period wears off (or other external factors beyond their control come into play), girl gets bored of Mr. Nice Guy 3. Girl wants a guy that's exciting now. 4. Girl gets monogamous with Mr. Bad Boy 5. After the honeymoon period wears off (or other external factors beyond their control come into play), girl gets sick of Mr. Bad Boy's territoriality and neediness and/or gets sick of him cheating on her with other women 6. Girl dumps Mr. Bad Boy, and proclaims that "all men are jerks" 7. Girl suddenly meets Mr. Nice Guy 2, promises monogamy with him, and restarts the cycle. Women constantly alternate between those two extremes. They don't understand that a woman needs both a lover (Mr. Bad Boy) and a provider (Mr. Nice Guy), however those roles are mutually exclusive. They cling to the fantasy that a man can be both of those forever... but it's just not possible. If a girl wants both of those desires to be fulfilled simultaneously, forever, then she must abandon monogamy. So when it comes to me, I can't just put on my profile that I'm poly, and I can't just tell her that on the first date. And you probably think that's deceptive. However, keep in mind that I never lie to women regarding my lifestyle and beliefs, and I never make promises that I can't keep. So by the time a girl pops the "What is this to you...?" question, she's already become a part of the poly lifestyle, without necessarily realizing it. And that's when an interesting thing happens-- she doesn't leave me. Why? Because I'm different from what she's used to. The way I do things is better than what she's used to. Also like I said, she may even choose to leave me at some point. However, unlike the guys she's dated in the past, she eventually will return back to me because she realizes that I'm different and better than the other guys. And the end result of all this? We're both very very happy for a very very long time :) Did that address your concerns, Kimberly?

No, they don't always fail, but they fail 9 times out of 10. Using your emotions to make critical life decisions is stupid! I've made it clear in the past that I don't like one night stands. If that was my goal (which it isn't), then I'd lie out my ass, both on my online profile and on the actual date. But I don't lie-- neither in my profile nor on my dates. So please be specific in describing how exactly I'm being "deceptive" and I'll be more than happy to discuss it with you.

I doubt summoning will be 2x. Considering it was at 10% for the entire duration of previous BXPWs, it'll probably be the same this time.

Too bad I cant post pics of them here. Do a search yourself in your own area, there will be at least 100 hot women in your area online within the last month. Though, I live near a major US city so that's where a lot of them come from.

If players choose the "unhealthy" path of playing for a full 48 hours, that's not Jagex's fault. That's the player's fault. It's the player's responsibility to make responsible life decisions. It's not like Jagex is holding a loaded gun to everyone's head and forcing them to play for two days straight. If you get sick or something as a result of grinding for so long, you have no one to blame but yourself. At the end of the day, you're the one who chose to do that.

I think arrogance is one of those traits which people have deemed "bad" without actually questioning why it's considered bad. Same goes for selfishness and promiscuity. I agree that arrogance is better than low confidence, however arrogance also usually entails low self-esteem... which gets on my nerves pretty quickly. I'm in the same boat as obfuscator as far as choosing between those qualities in a partner goes. But fortunately that's not a decision I have to make since I'm an oddball ;)

Yes, you're right Ginger. This is the first time I've actually been "actively" pursuing my romantic/sexual goals, rather than "passively" and just letting things happen and develop naturally. Pursuing things actively definitely requires much more commitment, but at least you're in control of your results and you'll get results much faster. This would also be simpler if I wasn't tracking everything on a spreadsheet, but then I wouldn't be able to figure out which areas need improvement. Though, the better I get at this, the more passive it will become.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Dude you're joking, right? The whole point of online game is it's the easiest, most time and cost-effective way to meet girls, period. I've "approached" 127 girls this week and scheduled dates with 10 of them so far. I spent about an hour sending out all the openers, and then at random times throughout the week they'll message me back and I'll schedule a date. I do most of it from my phone while I'm getting other things done. If you can approach 127 beautiful girls at the bars or on the streets or in any other way with less time, effort, and money spent than me, I'm all ears.

Current online dating stats: BLITZ I (Aug. 12, 2012 - Sep. 3, 2012) Openers sent: 177 Responses: 37 (20.9% of openers) Date Scheduled: 2 (5.4% of responses; 1.1% of openers) Date Actually Happened: 1 (50% of agreements; 2.7% of responses; 0.6% of openers) Pretty abysmal, but it was my first blitz where I was testing the waters and learning the ropes. Changes between first and second blitz: - Used only one profile pic instead of two - Completely overhauled profile text to make me sound more "jerky" and non-needy - Changed my opener slightly - Added in an extra "step" before pitching the meet BLITZ II (Oct. 7, 2012 - Present) Openers sent: 123 Responses: 27 (21.9%) Date Scheduled: 7 (25.9% of responses; 5.7% of openers) Date Actually Happened: 1 (14.3% of agreements; 3.7% of responses; 0.8% of openers) Holy shit. My "date scheduled" stats went up 380% with respect to responses, and 418% with respect to openers after I made those changes! But what happened to those 7 girls that agreed to date? Well right now some of them are still on the calendar and the date has yet to occur, so the "actual date" category should be higher by the end of the week. I actually canceled some of the dates myself because the girls were either flakey or unattractive. That's my fault; I need to be more scrutinizing in the future. Interestingly, my response rate hasn't really changed much. This suggests that the response rate is determined by your opener and/or your profile picture, since I didn't make any drastic changes to those, whereas my profile text was completely different. There's a few other "confounds" in the data, which are making the percentages a lot lower than they really should be, but the reasoning for that is temporarily classified. Sorry >_> My results could still be a lot better, however it's nice to see that I'm actually starting to get some concrete results. Hopefully by this time next year I'll probably have this system down like clockwork. :) Edit: Just got another date on Friday w/ a cute gamer chick! Score! :D Edit2: Scheduled another one on Sunday. This is too easy.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Had a first date w/ a gorgeous black girl this evening (high five!). It went well, so I'll schedule a second date sometime in the next couple of days. Another girl agreed to a first date tomorrow night, but never texted me or gave me her number after I gave her mine. Red flag. Probably a flake. I'll have to awkwardly message her on the dating site again and make sure it's still going on tomorrow. Had a date scheduled for Thursday with a (seemingly) beautiful girl who's obsessed with Zelda (if an attractive girl is genuinely into video games, that's +2 on the hotness scale in my book. -2 points if she's unattractive :P). Upon closer examination, she's overweight :( Canceled that date. Got another date scheduled for next Monday with a cute blonde. Since it's so far away the odds of her flaking are kinda high, however she opened me and seemed really interested, so we'll see. There's still like 3 or 4 other women floating around that I haven't set a date in stone with yet. So we'll see how that ends up. Was kind of stymied by all the scheduling required this week. At one point I think I was messaging like 15-20 girls at a time, lol. I need to go downtown again and find more dating venues so I'm not forced to go to the same place every night with a different girl haha. Anyways, if you really wanna get a taste of abundance and non-neediness, give online dating a shot for a week or two. Just send out ~100 messages to attractive girls and see how hard it is to get attached to one of them when there's 20 more hot girls right around the corner interacting with you :)

Why Do People Judge RS So Much Differently Than Other Video Games?
This is just one of those opinions that people hold which make no logical sense, and will probably admit to it if you question their opinions enough. In other words, your thoughts are valid. Hell, one of my best friends teases me about playing RS (he played it when he was younger), and he plays WoW all day lol.

Hard to say. They were all unsuccessful prior to my profile "makeover." I've been using variations of the 3rd one recently and it appears to work well. I'll have to update my spreadsheet and compare stats.

I've tried many things... "Are you a stupid [bleep]?" "How are you different from the other women on this site?" "What are your best qualities?"

Best Aura for PvM/Slayer?
This thread is intense. Btw does it matter if the person's herblore lvl is high enough for spec restores, but not high enough for the "more efficient" pots?

I get them to "qualify" themselves to me, then see if they've got any questions for me so they feel like they're doing the same thing in return. Then I pitch a meet and if they don't accept, I quit talking to her since she's likely just looking for attention, not dates, and therefore wasting my time. 99% of the guys on the sites do what you described. And I make it clear that I'm not one of those guys. :D

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Well I'm only "blatantly" jerky in my profile. Just enough to pique their interest. Like I said, when I message them for the first time, I acknowledge that I'm not as "bad" as my profile implies. And they remain interested, despite that. In other words, the "jerkiness" of my profile has already served its purpose by that point. I don't explicitly state that I'm poly. My attitude just sort of implies it. Fulfilling wishes is a tricky one, in the sense that most women don't know what they want. They think they want one thing, but actually want something else. It's kind of a tricky process for me since as an "outcasted" introvert I'm very good at maintaining relationships, but have a hard time connecting w/ people to begin with since I'm so different from most people. When I'm setting up dates, I also have to figure out the right balance for asking a girl out-- ask too soon and you're creepy; ask too late and you're a wimp. But at the end of the day, I am confident that most women who get to know me well enough want me more than any other man-- there is no long-term competition for me at that point. It's just a matter of making her realize that :)

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
It's not a charade. I didn't lie about anything on my profile. I genuinely don't give a shit when it comes to things like this-- you all should know that by now :P My point was, until now I hadn't actually conveyed that within my profile, primarily because I underestimated how "effective" it is to convey, and because while it is indeed an aspect of my personality that attracts girls, it's not something that I want to "flaunt." It's an "attitude" kind of thing IRL, but that's nearly impossible to convey in a profile description. So I'm basically "talking the talk" on my profile, but I'm "walking the walk" once we're actually interacting... if that makes any sense. Like I said, I'm bad at articulating my thoughts when it comes to these kinds of things :P Conversely, it kind of reminds me of girls who agree with dumb shit like this: They say they want something like that. And they might even believe that they want something like that. But when they actually get that, they get bored fast. What I'm doing is basically the opposite of that, lol.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Slowly getting better at this online dating thing. :) I completely underestimated how well girls will respond to you if your profile makes you out to be a non-needy jerk, lol. Sad but true. I don't consider myself to be a jerk, but I basically made my profile as "jerky" as possible (while still maintaining my other positive qualities from my previous profile), and then when I opened girls I said something along the lines of "I'm not as bad as my profile may lead you to believe..." The result? I've scheduled FIVE dates so far today. Some of the girls even opened me and proposed we meet up! I'm about to go to bed and my phone still keeps going off with messages from new girls, LOL. I'll have to schedule them in tomorrow morning :P Muuuuch better results than my profile and "process" from last month. :)
