  1. Yeah a long term goal of mine was to have a Kim Kardashian ass. Current goal is Pam Anderson boobs.
  2. Because skills are assets
  3. 20 consecutive pseudo planche pushups :D http://tinypic.com/r/1zytyqb/6 I think I kind of messed up my form after the first three. I readjusted my fingers slightly since they weren't spread out enough and put too much strain on my wrists. After that I don't think I was going down low enough :\ I need to be able to do 2 more consecutive sets of 20 before moving onto the next progression :wall: FML Oh, and if you can identify the music, you get a gold star! :D
  4. 13 miles? Pfft.
  5. BECAUSE YOU AREN'T
  6. If I were to sit down and write a "guide" on what I've learned regarding relationships, I'd probably write a 100+ page eBook on EVERYTHING and sell it for profit :P
  7. I'd rather just send them to other sites where they can get more "professional" advice.
  8. Meditation fixes that... the ability to turn off the chatter in your mind when you need to because it's not helping you at all is a useful skill to develop.
  9. Simply put, I don't consider it "lazy" to quit offering advice to posters who refuse to try the given advice. I consider it holding them accountable. The people who ask for advice and ignore it are the lazy ones. The difference between here and a traditional teaching environment (e.g. a classroom; a private instructor; a business mentor) is that the teachers are paid for those services. It's their job to keep trying to teach people. They actually have an obligation to keep "trying," regardless of how stubborn or lazy their student is. And if the student chooses to ignore the advice, there are actual immediate consequences for that.
  10. I mean, it's pretty straightforward: -Take the difficult, yet legitimate advice and benefit from it (though not necessarily in the short-term) or -Take the easy, yet useless advice and stagnate from it The difference between the inexperienced people here and the other inexperienced people their age are: The ones visiting this thread at least know what they should be doing. And that's half of the solution right there. The other half is actually doing it. The idiom, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink" comes to mind. Other people their age don't even know what they're supposed to do. Or they think they know what they're supposed to do, but they couldn't be more wrong. Yes, there's a very high chance that most good advice will be ignored/disregarded. But that's not our problem, that's theirs. And just because the person asking questions didn't want to follow that advice, doesn't mean that other people lurking this thread won't benefit from it.
  11. And that's why the same people keep having the same problems :P
  12. In hindsight, you'd probably make more money buying 4 public deposit boxes and then "selling" them to people trying to maximize XP/profits per hour.
  13. 1) Enter Nex's chamber 2) Spam-click Nex as she does her over-dramatic spawning speech until you fire the dart 3) Nex dies; the only damage you take is from wrath A RoW and darts are all you need. And make sure if the room's occupied, you take turns since only one dart can "register" at a time. In other words, if more than one person darts Nex, only one person will get the loot. Everybody else will have wasted their darts.
  14. I disagree. The most efficient way to conquer a fear is to experience it fully, without resistance. If a guy talks to his crush, [bleep]s up completely, and realizes that it's not the end of the world, he won't be paralyzed with fear next time a similar opportunity arises. Gotta take risks to get what you want. Most people are unwilling to do that. Most people choose unhappiness over uncertainty.
  15. I think asking for advice when you're inexperienced at something is always a very wise idea. When it gets to the point where you know exactly what advice you're going to be given before you ask it, then you should quit asking for advice. At that point you don't need any more advice/knowledge... just more experience, confidence, and skill. And no amount of advice can give you that.
  16. Geez you guys will complain about anything. A "free" 251k prayer XP for 10 minutes worth of effort? C'mon.. Got 96 prayer/138 combat w/ my boost :D
  17. That's not a legitimate reason to quit using RoW lol
  18. Is the dart working properly on Nex now?
  19. It's about a young woman who gets sexually involved with a rich older man.
  20. ^That seemed unnecessary :P
  21. I'm changing my progression to instead of . This is mostly because isometric exercises (simply holding a position; i.e. frogstands, tuck planche) don't develop strength as rapidly as concentric exercises (muscle contractions; i.e. pushups, bench press). The pushups progression is a lot tougher on my dainty wrists since I can't use my parallette bars :( The pseudo pushups aren't very hard... but my wrists don't have enough endurance to do 20 consecutive reps yet :( which sucks because wrist strength is going to take a lot longer to develop than, say, shoulder strength.
  22. Random question: if you had 1B XP in a skill, what level would it be? Like 142 or 143?
  23. You sound like Harry Potter
  24. Living frugally is surprisingly easy... your mind tends to adapt to the frugal lifestyle pretty quickly. For example, in high school I almost always had the TV on in my room. Sometimes I'd actually watch it, other times I'd be doing something else (like playing RS) and the TV would just be on in the background for passive entertainment. After moving to college, I didn't have cable anymore and didn't really miss it. A couple of years later when I moved into an apartment, I never bothered to buy cable since at that point it had become a waste of time and money. Similarly, I never unpacked my video games from my moving boxes and went a year without video games and did just fine. Life without TV seems to have some passive health benefits too. No commercials showing me things that I don't have, but should want to have; no depressing news stories; no unrealistic portrayals of love and romance; etc. I save money on electricity via cold showers, and by adjusting to the thermostat to be close to the outdoor temperatures. I used to hate it if it wasn't 72F inside, but if you keep the thermostat as high as 80 or even 90 in the summer, your body will adapt to that surprisingly quickly. Your guests, however, probably won't appreciate it :P There is a balance you have to find, though, such that you're saving a lot of money without sacrificing too much of your freedom. For example, having my own car and source of transportation is more expensive than public transportation and carpooling, however having to depend on those things for transportation isn't really worth the money saved and loss of freedom, IMO. It also helps if you feel bad when you spend your money, as opposed to getting short-lived gratification out of it. Simply put, the best way to live frugally is to slowly eliminate things from your life and see if you're capable of adapting to the changes without sacrificing your well-being.
