  1. Well when your legs get too sore, you can always just do some curls... for the girls.
  2. Good job, Rob
  3. I wonder how things would've been different if you two banged >_>
  4. Currently reading: Butterflies are Free to Fly by Stephen Davis. EDIT: Currently at p. 87; plays in my mind as I read continue onwards lol
  5. Yeah that's a pretty shitty feeling when you don't get any stronger the following week lol NOW LIFT, EAT, AND SLEEP MOAR@@@@
  6. I think you and I generally agree on every topic except for relationships :P
  7. I think there are two reasons why people do that: 1. Because many people lack the emotional maturity to resist their emotional impulses and listen to their rational minds to make decisions which will grant them long-term happiness, as opposed to short-term gratification. 2. Some people out there actually enjoy drama and having an emotional roller coaster of a life. These people usually have otherwise-boring lives, so any kind of excitement is good for them-- even bad excitement (drama) I doubt Rihanna genuinely, rationally believes that getting back together with Chris Brown would be a good idea. But her emotions refuse to allow her to accept that.
  8. Maybe if XP was gained at 10x the normal rate and training was actually fun
  9. Another thing to consider is the fact that a lot of people focus on the process of a goal, whereas other people only focus on the end result of the goal. There's a business model for this dynamic-- where some people are better suited for low-paying jobs they enjoy, while others are better suited for high-paying jobs they don't enjoy. In other words, the first group doesn't necessarily need the money to be happy because their jobs make them happy. The second group's jobs are stressful/boring, but the money they earn compensates for that. So when it comes to RS, hopefully if you aren't enjoying the challenge you've set for yourself, then the benefit for completing the goal will outweigh the required time and effort commitments.
  10. I remember the first time I did squats... When I got home and was working at my desk, I didn't realize how fatigued my legs were. When I tried to stand up, my legs were completely unresponsive and I just fell out of my chair and ate shit lol
  11. I'm so happy the host of the show remained rational and held both sides equally accountable. I was afraid he'd spend the whole show criticizing the man for his behavior and acting like the woman was some poor, innocent victim... when in fact they're both in the wrong.
  12. I think it basically boils down to: If someone sets a goal and accomplishes it in an unnecessarily difficult fashion (i.e. 99 slayer @ using cannon only), then do you: 1. Respect them for completing such a challenge 2. Question their thought process for creating such a challenge for themselves in the first place Jebrim and most of the "elite" players seem to lean towards #1, always. I lean towards #1 as well if the reason why they made the challenge unnecessarily difficult was because it'd be more fun I lean towards #2 if they considered it "work" and didn't enjoy it.
  13. Food for thought... you might find this interesting (particularly RPG and yguy): http://blackdragonblog.wordpress.com/2012/09/09/but-how-would-an-open-marriage-oltr-actually-work/
  14. Just to be clear, I'm not necessarily talking about changes in a person's personality as a result of aging/maturing. I'm talking about changes in a person's behavior as a result of those relationship "milestones" that I listed above.
  15. Is he the only one? :P
  16. Relatively sure macro- and microefficiency are terms you just made up >_>
  17. If the training isn't fun or beneficial, then yes.
  18. I play RS to have fun. I'm pretty sure that's the same reason why everybody (including you) started playing RS in the first place. I train my skills so I can unlock more fun things to do or make my favorite activities more entertaining (for example, getting 80 hunter for stealing creation). I don't have any pride in my RS achievements-- not these days, at least. This is simply because RS is not a big deal to me and I don't take it seriously. There's a reason why I don't wear skillcapes or take screenshots of my "achievements": because those things are unimportant to me. Having fun is what matters. If I'm not having fun on RS, I'll log off and go work on some real-life goals that I enjoy-- that's what's important to me.
  19. That's why it's important for people to specifically define their opinion of what a good player is, before they try to argue it... like Stonewall said earlier.
  20. I would bot without hesitation under the following two conditions: -botting wasn't against the rules -the activity I was botting made me unhappy I'd rather work smarter than work harder. I don't care about impressing people, and I value my self-respect over the respect of others. If you're doing something you don't enjoy just to impress others, you're really just rationalizing your own unhappiness.
  21. That depends-- did they do ZMI before or after Runespan was released? Because if they did ZMI after Runespan was released, just to make it harder for themselves, that's not impressive-- that's stupid. It also depends on what the person's goals are. I would like to hope that everyone's primary objective in RS is to have fun, or else I'd be interested in hearing their rationalization for wasting literally thousands of hours of their lives doing something they don't enjoy. In other words, if they hate Runespan but have fun doing ZMI, then more power to them. Fun aside, if their goal is to get 200M XP, I don't know who in their right mind would choose ZMI over Runespan. Botting's irrelevant since it's against the rules. Not to mention the fact that if you get caught, it'd be less efficient since there would be action taken against your account. The problem with your subjective "test" is: you seem to value a person's masochistic capacity over everything else. So my question to you is: if two people both get 200M in a skill via the exact same method, but one person enjoys every hour of it, while the other hates every hour, which person impresses you more? Or are they both the same to you?
  22. As long as they're enjoying themselves...
