The generally-accepted definition is that intelligence is simply a measure of how quickly a person is capable of understanding a novel concept, adapting to it, and mastering it. The higher your IQ, the quicker you understand, adapt, and master things relative to how quickly everybody else in the world can do the same thing. I'm technically "gifted" (138 IQ), but I never really understood what that meant for the longest time. When I learned that the most modern/up-to-date definition of intelligence and giftedness is the one I described above, it started to make more sense to me. In hindsight, I really have picked up on things much faster than my "normal" friends. A friend can be a competitive gamer, for example, and he'll teach me how to play and within a week or two I'll be giving him a run for his money. It's things like that which intelligence refers to-- adaptability, understanding, and mastery. With that said, I don't see how one can accurately quantify such a quality, yet the IQ tests which are centered around logic and reasoning skills seem to have found a pretty strong correlation. Oh well. If I take a test and it labels me as "gifted," I'm not gonna argue with it :P

I partially agree-- but that's not the same thing as "depending" on your SO. If you are in a serious/long-term relationship - and I know you're against those but the point is IF YOU ARE in one - you should be able to rely on your SO for emotional support. You should be able to come home after a bad day and expect your SO to comfort you and help you through it. They shouldn't be thinking "God it annoys me when they get upset and have a bad day and expect me to comfort them." That just suggests that the person doesn't care about their problems.. and that leads to serious problems in a relationship. If the person expects their SO to actually solve their issues - that's a problem. But support should always be given. I agree... more or less :P

Furah you should break up with her. This is what relationships are about. One of the whole points of having a relationship is to depend on each other (for emotional support and other things). If that's not something you're interested in, you might need to seriously consider whether you actually want to be in a long-term relationship. That's not what relationships should be about. Relationships based on such a concept are doomed.

I take it your into books about business, human understanding and sociology? Self-help books are the only books that don't put me to sleep lol. But those two books are both about business since I'm going to start my own business after I graduate. Independent studying > college, as far as business goes.

Trust me, if my hundreds of hours of playing games with console commands and multiple saves has taught me anything, it's that if you don't have to invest too much time and effort in something within about 2 hours you'll get bored and just [bleep]ing kill everyone and loot their corpses. A small amount of drama keeps my relationship alive and healthy. Thank you for proving one of the points I've been trying to make these past couple of weeks, whether you realize it or not :P

Assuming you know the basic mechanics of the caves, it should be a piece of cake these days with the updated arena layout. An arcane stream necklace would make things easier, as far as setup goes. Mage was really inaccurate when I got my fire cape at 1 defense, but I was only lvl 70 magic or so, and vestments hadn't even been been released yet. I'd expect polypore to be much better than burst spells.

Do the hati paws double the XP gained from using a cannon and/or combat familiar? Not sure if I should use the paws for slayer tasks-- I don't want to if they'll get "wasted" on ranged xp

There used to be a guide on this in the AoW. Not sure what happened to it. I'd be interested in comparing the XP rates of using a Yak vs. using a combat familiar. Does the extended trip time from a yak compensate for the lost bonus XP from a combat familiar? I train melee on the skeles there as well, but I use elite void + rapier since it's much more AFK (don't have to worry about selecting the ones w/ the highest HP). It's about 160k XP/hour with 90 melees. Do you have any idea what the xp/hr difference is between using a soul wars cape and the +8 str cape? Prayer drains really fast down there when you have to use dharoks :\
