  1. I like where the idea is going, slayer needs more monsters you can only kill on task.
  2. Everyone knows that the dungeoneering law and nature rune staves are worthless because the amount of money you save from nature or law runes does not out weigh the cost in elemental runes you need as a result of not having the respective elemental staff. There are two ways I've thought of to fix this. The first being ideal, the second being an ok improvement. Solution #1. Have each staff supply infinite elemental runes only when casting a spell that requires a nature/law rune (obviously corresponding to the staff equipped). Example. I have a nature rune staff equipped. I can cast high alchemy with no fire runes for as many charges as I have placed nature runes inside the staff + any that are saved from the special effect. However after 20 high alchs i get bored so I pull out a pile of bones from my bank and cast bones to bananas for a little cash. The staff covered the fire runes as well as the earth/water runes. Then I pull out my blood runes and go to fire surge black demons and cry because the staff does not cover elemental runes not used for nature rune spells The demons kill me and I ragequite this game. This would simplify teleporting a lot with the law staff as well as making life easier for superheating/alching/bones to peaches. Solution #2. Make the law staff also supply infinite air runes and the nature rune staff provide infinite fire runes. I don't believe the second solution needs much explaining. Please leave me some feedback. Cheers!
  3. Korasi's is much better than a z spear, same str bonus, higher stab bonus with a d def. On top of that you're only going to be using this at dragons with high def such as irons/steels/miths. On steels and miths for sure the spec is better because of the 100% accuracy whereas claws fail quite a bit. All that not to say the other quest rewards (elite void, 100 k prayer exp, and 50 commendations) are well worth it and the sword only costs 250 k to replace. Much cheaper than a z spear. So no reason to own the spear unless you corp. Thanks for clearing up the acs deal. Sell that too. You only need the acp for subbing in the chest spot after you get your void deflector. And lastly +1 for only going for 91 herblore. Stew from there.
  4. First of all, finally someone besides me realized that no one in this game knows what inflation is. Secondly DFS is a waste of money. If you lack super antifires there are two scenarios you will encounter. 1. At dragons which hit high with melee (blacks and metal dragons) and higher you can pray melee, use a reg dragonfire shield and re antifire potions. 2. At dragons which don't hit high (blues and greens) you use a d defender, antifire potions and protect mage. Both of those options are better than dropping 25 mil on a shield. The only reason to ever buy this shield is if you plan on cannoning wyverns for crimsons and lack soul split/turmoil, a unicorn, and a chaotic maul which allows you to tank their damage. If you're contemplating bcp/tassets invest in a berserker ring first. Same str bonus as bcp for a fraction of the cost. Skip bcp if you can get a fighter torso, tassets are decent if you don't have a fire cape but do have a soul wars cape as you wont need the prayer bonus you would normally be getting from verac's skirt for that slot. But in all seriousness just invest that money into prayer or herblore. If its all your cash, invest into some flipping, get MTK and herb runs going, and do your dailies. You won't regret it. And don't get a bgs, ever.
  5. Falconry with a bonecrusher and mousekeys is reportedly faster. Penguins are also a good option when you hit the level for them. Butterflies are ok, the new herblore habitat is the recommended way to level when you can because the potions you make as a result are invaluable as well as the fact that it is the fastest exp in game currently.
  6. After 95 prayer definitely sell guthans. Also sell dfs if you have a dragon defender. Lastly to save money on prayer you can do the void quest series for 50 commendations and 100 k exp in lamps, nomads requim for 70 zeal and Blood Runs Deep for 450 k exp. That got me from 75 to 80 and i believe saved me 20 mil. In general sell luxury items for stats in prayer and herblore as money and items can be lost but those stats are yours to benefit from forever once you have them, as well as unlocking many better money makers to earn cash back for said items. Personally I would sell... Claws (use korasi's sword for high def monster specs and dds for low def specs) Dfs (almost no use if you have a d defender, or even a rune defender for that matter...) Ags (worthless unless you're +1 world pking) Sgs (easily replaced by an eee, bunyip, guthans, soul split, or a unicorn) Z spear (korasi's plus d defender is better for stab, SS is better for crush. Keep if you corp) All barrows sets but karils and ahrims Dragon Set (worthless) Regen bracelet (barrows gloves are always better) I am slightly embarrassed to say I don't know off the top of my head what an acs is... Don't buy anything item wise, but invest in herblore to 85+ and prayer to 95+. Cleaning herbs to 80 and making unf pots with a scroll of cleansing will net you a large profit and from there you can stew to keep training. 85+ herblore and 95 + prayer is very doable with what you've got. Cheers
  7. If you're working on less than a 100 k budget I would spend some time doing very easy money making (ie picking white berries or something similar). Its worth it to spend the hour and make ~400 k more to be able to unlock some better money makers. With 500 k you could start doing a lot of dailies which should net over 500 k profit in less than 30 min. That would more than cover welfare range gear and whatever iron dart fetish you decide to indulge. Combine that with ranging stuff that gives ok experience and some profit (fire giants or cannoning green dragons) and by the time you hit 85 or higher you'll have a nice supply of cash for chinning. Cheers
  8. The problem with using big bones is that the amount of time extra it takes doesn't justify the money saved. It would take less time to get 95 prayer earning money and using d bones or frost d bones with that money. You will lose out on more money and time from using big bones.
  9. Its just standard hunting. Try to cover as many spawns with each traps attract range as possible. And there's only two kinds of bait, one for each animal (pawya's and grenwalls). Summon your fruitbat and cast fruitfall to get the papaya's for baiting the pawyas. Use the pawya meat for baiting the grenwall traps. The only tricky part (and its not tricky) is learning to bury bones (not needed if you have a bonecrusher) cast fruitfall and lay traps at the same time. Ps one fruitbat is 44 min long and each dose of the potion is 5 min of scentlessness...if that's a word. So bring 3 3 dose pots for a full 45 min of hunting. And from my understanding the pots arent buyable but you'll get great hunter exp while getting them so you kill two birds with one stone.
  10. So if this becomes a thing, how much money/exp or money/hr do you think would be charged?
  11. This, @ 99 hunter I aaveraged 900 k-1.2 mil an hour without scentless potions or smoking my traps. With them you would probably break 1.5 mil an hour. Im building a stockpile of potions right now for when I go to grind out the 200 mil i need for 99 prayer.
  12. With the apparent coming re release of free trade there has been a lot of hype about things like the return of law running and other such companies springing back up from out of the dust Jagex left them in during the RWT crusade. Something im eager to see however is pro teams for dg offering to 4 man larges and charging the leech "x" amount of money based off of either time, exp for the floor or a combination of the two. Does this mean we will see dungeoneering become a decent source of income for the pros out there? And on those lines will this make dungeoneering a "buyable" skill? I personally would shell out 50 mil at the drop of a hat just for 85 dungeoneering for the rapier and other goodies.
  13. Gah, I always forget about the alerter because I haven't done Do No Evil yet... thanks for the catch.
  14. +1 I got 75 prayer to 80 from blood runs deep, nomads requim and void stares back. Saved me about 20 mil in total.
  15. Ill put in the 2.5 mil on the off chance it works. If not oh well, ill have 2.5 mil in there when i come back.
  16. Not on task the best set up would be Void range helm Fury Soul wars cape if using eagle eye, otherwise accumulator Diamond bolts (e) > broad bolts Armadyl Chestplate Elite Void Bottom Void deflector Rune Crossbow Ranger boots Archer's ring (i) Void Gloves Use super antifires staying out of melee range to negate all damage. Don't use ruby bolts e unless you have an eee to counter balance the specs damage on your life points. Personally i say broad bolts are the way to go. Also don't forget a one click tele just in case, two pieces of food for emergancies, range/extreme range pots, and prayer pots if youre praying eagle eye. They arent amazingly fast with range so praying eagle eye and using the best range pot you can is extremely recommended.
  17. Announcement of torva (or whatever its called) armor that will be tier 80 and life point boosting. Prices will probably only rise if said armor does not have a better str bonus than bandos.
  18. So im currently quitting for the time being and have about 60 mil cash and items. My questions are as follows. How low can your approval rating sink naturally (ie without killing villagers)? Does your kingdom keep collecting resources while you are gone? At 50% approval (what I believe to be the lowest it can sink to) will I still profit on my investment? In theory I want to put all my cash in and quit so that when I come back after school is out for the year I can have more cash than when I left.
  19. If you can post you're stats, I can give you a few ideas to how you can make some cash. Sure, here you go: 58 atk 58 def 59 str 26 ranged 36 prayer 38 magic 26 rc 11 construction 10 dungeon 58 constitution 27 agi 8 herblore 17 thieving 39 crafting 10 fletching 20 slayer 1 hunter (D:) 57 mining 40 smithing 50 fishing 51 cooking 53 firemaking 62 wc 8 farming 5 summoning Well, hope can you help me with something :) PD: Oh, and I just have 1650k :( 1650 k is enough to do all the dailies you have available to you. Search for laura's guide in the general guides section of these forums. I would guess with how limited your travel options will be right now you'd have maybe 400 k profit/day available to you (this is through buying stuff from shops and selling it on the ge for profit). After that I recommend working on unlocking the skill/quest recommendations in her guide to unlock more profit/day (dailies max at about 1.3 mil a day for ~1 hours of work). Then aim for 38 farming. This can be done mostly from quests. Easily doable in a day if you are also farm some trees as well. Then start farming toadflax for an addition 400 k per day (4 runs per day, once every hour and a half). These farming runs are a nice break to keep any other training you do from becoming too tedious. Questing or training your favorite skills after that. Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble unlock a passive money making option that brings in an addition 1050 k per week. Also welcome to P2P and these forums!
  20. I love Runescape kids. I'm glad I don't have to go to RSOF anymore to laugh at them. +1
  21. I can't wait to transfer my rares from the mule they've been stuck on for the last few years so I can buy 96 herblore and 95 prayer. Then im going to go kill the rc pkers and lulz at them rage quit for not getting their easy kills.
  22. Don't ever do woodcutting for money. Ever. Start off by checking out the guide to daily activities in the general guides section of these forums. Doing everything on that list should net you about a mil profit. After that do the quests that reward farming exp to get to lvl 38 (which I believe is the level you need for toadflax). Once you start farming toadflax you should do My Arms Big Adventure for the disease free herb patch. Always use super compost. You can get at least 4 herb runs in a day which should be ~400 k profit, more if you get hunter and dg up for juju potions and scroll of life. That should bring your total to a little over 1.4 mil/day not including anything you do for fun that could make you money. Ranging blue drags is my cup of tea so that's what I do for fun. 1.35 mil is enough to invest a weeks worth of MTK to add another mil profit to your week. Cheers!
  23. My labtop is never handy when I need it. MTK after royal trouble is a mil a week with zero effort. Herb farming is at least 400 k/day for about 20 min of time depending on scroll of life/juju potions/herbs being farmed. Torstol farming can average 250k plus per run. Dailies if all of them are unlocked is about 1.3 mil a day. Combine that with frost dragons and do an herb run every two hours and you're looking at a good amount of cash per day. 3 mil an hour at frost drags means that dailies arent really worth it though. Say you play 3 hours a day and log in just to do your herb runs besides that. That's 9 mil from frost dragons, 400 k from herbs and ~150 k from MTK. That for a week nets you about 49 mil.
  24. Im not on my labtop so I can't copy paste my easy money making post. The gist of it is this. Do all the dailies you can. search for lauras guide in the General Guides section of these forums. Should be ~1 mil profit a day. Farm herbs ever 1.5-2 hours, as mentioned toadflax is a great way to go at low farming. If you lack the farming level you can reach ~30-35 from quest alone and then do 1 tree run of wc and fruit trees. Lastly MTK. If you haven't done the quests go do them. Its basically a free mil every week or ~ 150 k/ day for no effort (2 min a week). The above will net you about 1.5 mil.
