  1. Killing snakes on mos le harmless, can make up to 600 k per hour last time I checked...
  2. For hunter either red sallys, falconry if you have a bonecrusher and can utilize mousekeys (my labtop cant), or penguins. Those are your fastest options right now. Money wise either swamp lizards or regular chins. For farming herb runs and picking coconuts/papaya brings in profit and a couple extra thousand exp/ run. Helps pay for your expensive seeds. Also jade vine is 1500 farming and 2500 slayer exp/day and takes almost no effort (~2 min to kill it). Worth doing imo.
  3. Quests, I got up to around 33 from quests alone when I started. From there plant the highest level tree (oak willow maple etc) and highest level fruit tree (orange banana etc) possible as well as doing herb farming runs. ALWAYS pay your farmers to watch your trees (the payments can be found in the tip.it farming guide) and as they take so long to grow plant them at night, go to bed and check them/replant them before you go to sleep the next day. Shouldn't take more than 2 weeks to get the levels you want. Cheers.
  4. In the general guides section there is a guide by Laura on "dailies" shops you can buy stock from and sell on the GE for profit, following her guide completely will rake in around 1-1.4 mil a day. Combine that with any other money maker and in a day you have enough to start MTK. RSwiki has a chart that updates based on the GE To let you know what the most profitable things to put your workers on are. After you build up your cash for a week off of that get involved into herb runs for sure, you should have enough for the seed investment. Don't do snaps though unless you have scroll of life or like higher risk. Herbs like toadflax or kwuarm etc will net you about 100-150 k profit a run and you will make even if only 2 patches live. Always however plant ranarr/snaps/torstol in your My Arm's patch as it can never die. Later you can get into flipping but start with this.
  5. It always was...not sure why that pic is relevent.
  6. Food for thought, Baba Yaga on Lunar Isle makes a comment about how the lunar people have learned to use magic without runes...perhaps a new grandmaster quest around the Lunar people where you learn some of this knowlege resulting in a way to (at least temporarily) reduce the number of runes used for any spell. If its temporary give it like 15 min before having to wait an hour to use the effect again?
  7. Note, at 69 you have access to the +3 tea, not just +2. That, with the saw, is how I got my alter @ lvl 69 con.
  8. You can sell shards back to npcs which you buy them from for 25 coins each. /win
  9. Scentless pots are better than smoking for sure. Also rswiki states that the hunter pool in the ogre city (can't remember the name for the life of me right now...) temporarily makes your traps scentless as well. Not sure on the time of that though.
  10. Depends on what you're catching. For me at 99 hunter smoking regular chins traps wouldn't up the percentage at all because they have a 100% success rate...
  11. Awesome, alright thanks for the quick replys guys, ill try to finish him off tonight.
  12. Interesting thought, in the upcoming damage soak updates add in negative soaks against the type of combat you are weak against (ie a mage would have a negative soak against range damage so that range attacks would do more damage, conversely the mage would have a positive soak against melee damage and would receive less from melee). Combining armor would then cancel out the soaks leaving you more vulnerable from all sides instead of just one.
  13. This, I did red sallys till 80 back when it was the best way to do it. No camo helps.
  14. Shadow warriors are also decent crimson charm droppers.
  15. @ 92 hunter you should be able to get around 1 mil/hr @ grenwalls providing you have 69 summoning for fruitbats and utilize all the tricks. I just started there for cash at 99 and am averaging 1.6 mil/hr.
  16. Well I've gotten the trick for burying bones/setting up a trap/casting fruitfall all at once (in that order). So bonecrusher wont be needed anymore. Ill try smoking some traps today after I hit 50 dg. Right now im averaging 800 spikes an hour without smoking. Thanks grimy for the tips.
  17. Chaotic Rapier would obviously be the best weapon, definitely ditch the spirit sheild for the rune defender. Berserker ring is priority over bcp and tassets. My advice is switch to veracs bottoms sell tassets and get fury with the berserker for better str and pray bonus.
  18. If you're strapped for cash start doing your dailies (things like buying the water and earth runes from magic stores and feathers then selling them on the GE for profit.) They take like only around an hour if you have all of them and can yeild over a mil in profits. Also start farming until you can farm good herbs and do an herb run when you're tired of camping the monster you're at and need a break. For monsters to kill for profit at your level the snakes on Mos le Harmless are probably the best, but they require some quests to access. I would focus on training melee the fastest possible and do dailies/herb runs for money until you're combat is higher and you can afford the gear necessary for the decent higher lvl mobs to kill for cash. If you go slayer route do herb runs inbetween tasks or every two tasks depending on task length.
  19. And as we learned in the USA when you base your decisions on "hope" you're often disappointed.
  20. You don't say? Glad you figured out what around means. Now here is a question for you which is more approximate "around 3300 seconds" or "around 55 minutes"? I'll give you a hint, if your the poster boy for telling other people what to do make sure to use around 3300 seconds when you make up BS to support your argument. Why? Because it sounds more exact. Better question, why make a fuss about 3301 seconds compared to 3300 seconds when the person who made the statement was blatently clear that he was making an approximation?
  21. Personally i hate the wildy course because of the revs, that and the obstacles you fail drop you down the whole which makes you do the loading screen etc. Bottom line is I hated the place and did the werewolf course til 70 instead. It isn't much slower, you can only fail one obstacle and if you fail you still get partial exp for it. Plus with farclicking and timing right its extremely close to the same exp/hr as wildy without the hassel of what i mentioned. Just my two cents. Also yes, get the master penance horn. Good luck getting 70 as well! :)

    GWD

I've always understood GWD to not be worth it unless you have at least 70 pray for piety and blessing peoples graves. Also at this point you will get crashed hardcore if your friends are similar levels to you. My advice is use one of the better non combat moneymakers in between training up your melee stats. Use the money you make on prayer and better gear and then go.
  23. Why when people ask for solo advice do people respond with" join a team ". If he wanted a team the thread would be about looking for a good team. Soloing works generally the same as team in that you're going to want to rush your low level floors on c1 and then move into c6 smalls and finally c6 mediums. Also at your level (and mine isn't the greatest either) make sure to open all resource dungeons ASAP. The exp really helps. And while yes you don't get tokens for that exp it will enable you to do higher level floors earlier=faster exp/hr in actual dging=more tokens/hr. Gl on your rapier.
  24. Chaotic melee weapons degrade when your in "combat". You probably spend less than half of your time in "combat" in single zones. Most of the time is spent looting, locating the next monster, and navigating to the next monster. I usually spend about 40% of my time in "combat" and thus I degrade my cls at a 4% clip per hour. If you 1 hit things like goblins you can slow the degrading of your weapon even more. I spent about 2% in an hour looking for a champion scroll. Shields are slightly different. Again you only degrade in combat and the rate probably doubles on periods where you soak damage. For reference, I can mage a whole soul wars game with farseer shield and usually loose about 1%. However, if I spend a soul wars game with a ranger on me and constantly soaking damage in melee crowds then I have spent up to 4%. Top slayers spend around 3300 seconds of an hour(3600 seconds) in combat(by the number of hit's they deal) in single way combat, and the weapons still don't degrade more than 6% an hour. You must be really terrible at slaying.... numa numa numa You always put a smile on my face when you follow me around on these forums. Don't worry I won't follow you, afterall I lead you follow. BTW, you sure its only 3300 seconds an hour instead of 3301 seconds? I think you need to learn to click faster, it's making you look bad. "3300 seconds" and "around 3300 seconds" are notably different phrases. I think you need to learn to read, its making you look bad.
  25. Best that's what she said I've heard in a loooong time. I actually laughed out loud for the first time since reading the noobs say the funniest things thread on these forums.
