  1. Me and a friend are looking for way to get him to 96 Summoning as fast as can be, without spending half our banks getting him there. Thus far we have tried Waterfiends in Chaos Tunnels and Barraging Rock Lobsters. Waterfiends seems to be a great option as we can both get over 100 Crimsons an hour. So we thought about doing Familiarisation before we go. But i'm not sure if this works when you LS? So basically all i want to know is, will we get 3x Charms when we LS? If this doesnt work, what will be the best option of getting him charms otherwise? He's almost maxed combat so we can basically do anything. Will KBD be a good option? I remember being able to get around 60 Crims an hour by myself, so will it be possible to get about 80 an hour, each, if we LS?
  2. Another fast option is Edgeville with best BoB. I managed an average of 1170 logs per hour this way.
  3. DK's are really good and fun money makers. Problem is, without 96 Summoning or Fremmy Boots (4) you really don't make as mcuh profit and you find yourself having to depend on large drops to cover your supply cost. DK's are like any other NPC with a special drop (abyssal demons, dark beasts, etc.) One day you get 2 whips in a task, then you find yourself goign 10 tasks without a whip. And as for the crashing.... DK's are a lot less populated than it was a year ago. I've been DK's about 16 or 17 times this month and only found a crasher once.
  4. Never tank Aviansies. Its caveman tactics. are better off trying to melee them. But if you feel like you must tank, with 92 Def, you could get away with Void + BSS or if you must, Dhide with maybe a V Helm (Neit if you want to be cheap). I strongly suggest the following though. Monk Robe Top + Bottom, Mitre or Arma Helm, Ranger or Snakeskin Boots, Fury, Barrow Gloves, Unholy Book. Make sure you have no Arma Item. If you look in the General Guide section (page 4 or 5 i think) theres a Aviansies guide that will basically answer any question you have and those you cant even think of. There is also a location that i highly suggest using. This only has Bandos and Arma folowers so you dont need to worry about any other god item. The reason i say dont take an Arma item is because the point is to attract them to you. Saves a lot of time and speeds up the kills a lot. I think at 99 Ranged i used to get about 210 - 230 kills an hour before i even had Ext pots. At that time it was wll over 60k exp p/h ( close to 72k i think) and it was also over 1m gp p/h.
  5. Aviansies are good, although not the best Exp around. With 83 Ranged and Ext Ranged Pots, you could get a handsome 50k Exp/hour using the Prayer Method and Broad Bolts. A lot of people do Aviansies for a few hours, use the money, then chin for a few hours. This is break even tactics. You could also try Chinning Nechs although you said you would prefer not to chin. Those are about the two best options i can think of. Then there are some weaker options like Darting Green/Blue dragons. It should be pretty fast with a nice profit too.
  6. L no one mines coal. Do you live under a rock? No offence. Have you seen the amount of concentrated coal miners in w85?
  7. Yes i am totally not going to regret buying an item for 200k tokens which is going to collect dust in my bank and get used once or twice a week (if that much) but rather regret buying items i'll end up using multiple times a day. Awesome you guys make the most sense in the world  @Blind and 2Noob: Advice taken. Scroll of life is my new lover.
  8. Yeah i try and do Herb Runs as often as i can. Aslo, what does the Gem Bag do? Just store Gems in it? If infact so, what's exactly is the use for this?
  9. Well, i know most of the people will say that the first thing you should ever think of "buying" with your tokens is a Rapier. But seeing as i am nearing the end of combat related skills (only have 2 levels of Slayer left) i think spending 200k on a Rapier would be rather useless. Sure, i might do the occasional Boss Hunting, but that's only going to be at Armadyl, Zamorak and Dk's. At Zamorak and DK's a Whip + Dragon Defender does the job just as well. As for Slayer, doing another 2 Levels with a Whip won't bother me at the least. So keeping all of this in mind, what should i invest in first? Which of the Dungeoneering rewards are the best helpers when it comes to skilling? Currently i have 35k Tokens. Edit: I was thinking of getting a Scroll of Life as well as a Coal Bag. That still leaves me with ~21k tokens.
  10. Not going to waste my time voting. i am sure it's already clear what the Community think about this. I am sure 80% of the people are happy this is happening because now they have a reason to hack that friend who's password they just happen to know. Now they can help their friend with a skill/quest/firecape and actually get rewarded for it. Luckily this update will have no affect on me as i can easily acquire every item i need in RS. So even if this does have a negative affect on the "economy" i won't be touched by it. Sadly, if this happens junk trading will be a thing of the past making Zammy GWD mostly a waste of time.
  11. Does the Adze decrease the amount of special logs you get? I've done about 4 full inventory + yak trips and so far only received 1 Special Mahogany Log. So this makes me think it does infact decrease the amount. Am i right or just unlucky? Also i have another question. Seeing as i plan on using the logs i obtain from now till 99 Woodcutting towards 99 Construction, would it be better for me to stick to Mahogany (which will get me to a total of about 14.5m Construction Exp without the use of SC hammers) or should i switch to Teaks (which will bring me 250k short of 99 Construction without SC hammer). I need about 97k Teak logs vs. 66.7k Mahogany logs. Will teaks be faster? Even though i need more of them?
  12. Got Adze today. messed up a bit the 1st time because i left one of the Beacons out. Second time round i got it :D
  13. There's enough of a delay to open the switch doors on both sides and still have two people get in place? Yeah. You dont even need to do it with perfect clicking either. Me and a friend did it yesterday and even with a sudden 2 second lagg and a misclick or two i still made it in time
  14. Noxx replied to Noxx's topic in Help and Advice
We did a quick trip yesterday and i was using Void Mage, since i was still waiting on the Battle Robes to buy. We got about 100 crims each in 500 casts (well it was more, but with SOL it only used 500 casts). I think with Battle robes i'll save about 30% runes? But this makes me think that using Ahrims might just be better, with a Seers (i), Infinity boots and a Mage cape. Basically highest possible Mage bonus without using Chaotics or PvP armour.
  15. You ca still do it with two. You just need to open both the door at the Rock Crabs and the Walli's and each of you need to go into a seperate one. But whoever had the Rune Axes needs to be at the Rock Crabs part.
  16. Actually what need to happen is that at least 1 Person needs to be at the Walli side and another person needs to be at the Rock Crab side. Take your Throwing Axe and put it on LONGRANGE and SPEC like you always do, but now take a step back (the person at Rock Crabs needs to do this). The it will only knock over two. The person from the Walli side will be free to move past the door-support and "attack" the other one that opens up the path for you.
  17. Actually most people will tell you BCP seeing as it has more uses. But if you're going to do Rushing or Bosshunting then Claws are good, although i would not suggest a Torso for Bosses. So stick with BCP.
  18. Okay so i am planning on helping out a friend get from 89 - 96 Summoning with Barraging. We're going to LS for charms. Does your LSP depend how many charms you get? Also, i will be using Combat Robes. How long do they last? Will it be better if i use 2 sets? Also, how many casts more or less will i need to get him enough charms for 89 - 96 Summ?
  19. Brawlers would be a very nice drop, but sadly i can never see that happening. Unless it drops at the same rate of say, a visage, people would be camping them and this would result in the game being even easier than it is now. Prices related to skills such as Smithing, Prayer, Magic, etc. (all buyable skills that have Brawlers) would drop because now it would be cheaper and faster to gain level in such a skill. But that is only if it had a drop rate of 1/500. Heck, even 1/1000 would cause this.
  20. But no one is really going to kill 500 Revs hoping one of them might drop Claws, will they? How will they know what items the Revs hold? They won't. Sure, they can kill them with they vain hope, but that would be kind of senseless, would it not? You would be surprised. Besides, the point isn't if people will, it's whether or not people can. They COULD kill Revs for claws, and if that means saving hours on quests and killing easier monsters, people will do it. Of course, claws are just one example. This could apply to any boss-obtained items, take dragon legs for example. Revenants ought to replace pkers... That's what jagex said when they were released.. So if they are too weak now, they should be made stronger. Stronger, yes, fine. But I'm saying that they should not drop any items that are exclusive to another monster, even if it would be found on pkers. Lets say all exclusive item will be excluded from the random pick up. This leaves us only with mostly rune items. Seeing as Whips, D Boots, D Claws, GS's all have either Quest or Slayer level requirements. So maybe a "split" could be applied here. "You are 55% complete of reaching X Slayer lever. Your drop split is : xxxxx" when it comes to exclusive Slayer items. With questing it might be something like :You have 200 Quest Points. You receive : xxxxx coins" or something along those lines. Does this become too complicated? Is this just a stupid idea? Edit: Nvm, i think i just trolled myself :wall:
  21. Then as suggested, make them stronger. No need to raise their level, but give them basic armour such as the PK'er would wear. Give them the Attack and Defence bonus of Rune, Dhide and Mystic. This makes them a bigger challenge also make them hit higher. Maybe as high as an unpotted, no Prayer Dragon Scim, Blast Spell and Rune Arrow?
  22. But no one is really going to kill 500 Revs hoping one of them might drop Claws, will they? How will they know what items the Revs hold? They won't. Sure, they can kill them with they vain hope, but that would be kind of senseless, would it not?
  23. So we are all pretty annoyed by these Revenants that harass us while we try doing our Clue's, kill our Green Dragons, Kill our Black Dragons, run to our KBD's and train our Agility. Why are we annoyed by them? Chances are if you run into them, they will kill you. They kill you because you are not prepared for them. Yes, i understand that this was Jagex's attempt of making a PvP based NPC. Something that eats, Hybrids and Flees. Even though this NPC offers a fun challenge sometimes, it is one of the least fought in the entire game. Why? Because even though they take a lifetime to kill, they have NO drop worth mentioning. Now, i had a though. Might not be a very good one, or even a very smart one, but that is all up to you. What if Jagex were to revamp these Revs. They want them to be like PK'ers? Then make them have drops like PKer's. Hundreds of people die each day due to Revs and they are not always able to get to their graves fast enough to recover their lost items. What happens to those items? They just vanish. Have you ever seen a PK'er leave his loot on the ground? So what if these Revs become kind of like a Falador Party chest? When a player is killed the Rev picks up their items and whoever kills the Rev next, receives those items. RWT you ask? Well we have a simple solution. Lets say Player X wants to give a full Bandos set to Player Y. They decide to use Revs to do so. Lets say Rev A (Lvl 100), kills Player X. Our first curve ball would be that the Rev does not pick up all the items, but rather he randomly collects upto a certain amount of items (depending on how many items you have in your inventory. The Rev will not pick up noted items nor coins. Each Arrow and Rune is counted as a separate item. A Rev cannot pick up two of the same item.) The rev will randomly select items from your dropped inventory. Now the intention was for Player Y to be close by and then kill Rev A and gain the loot. Well done we have just succeeded in RWT. But here is the twist. Lets say Rev A (Lvl 100) picked up the loot. He will become un-attackable for the next 5 minutes. He will also immediately be teleported to any random location in the wilderness. This will stop Player Y from being able to kill Rev A right away. Player Y will have to spend a long time looking for the Rev. Then there is always the option of creating a Class for Revs. Put the level 10 - 20 Revs in a Class A. Put the level 21-35 in a Class B, etc. Lets say a Rev from class A kills a player, the items do not stay with him but is either sent to another Rev or is randomly divided amongst the rest of the Revs in that particular Class. There's probably no real point in doing this, but maybe it could become another fun "minigame". Maybe Rev hunting can actually become an activity people want to do. Yeah so just tell me what you think?
  24. Go away. This the help and advice section, not a place for you to disregard the OP's question in a petty attempt to raise your post count. Ontopic: I have no proof, so i won't say anything for certain. However 1/150 for items seems right from personal experience. This is from graar, not the minos. Not too sure about the hilt . Again, personal experience so can't show proof :( Yeah i'd say Armour pieces are more along the lines of ~135 or so and Hilt is about ~220 or so. I think 260 is a bit high. It's going to be very hard to find someone with actual proof as not many people would have ~1000 Graar kills recorded, so getting actual proof might be very hard. You're going to to be satisfied with hearsay for now i think.
