Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I think most of the glitch problems (breaching as it's apparently called) is on old gen consoles due to bad porting. I didn't realise till yesterday when i was watching MLG Columbus, but the Xbox One version looks soooooooo much different from the 360 version. Small details here and there, but they make the maps look almost entirely different. I don't know if this was the same on Ghosts too. But it kind of feels like different generations are playing different games right now. The 360 and PS3 also has a patch the 1/Ps4 doesnt have yet. A patch that buffed the EM1 and slightly nerfed the BAL (increased recoils slightly, recuded effectiveness of Foregrip). So right now it looks like a Rave concert with the amount of lasers on the map. Also, from what i've heard Sledgehammer isn't doing the patches for old gen themselves. A company named High Noon or High Moon or something or the sorts is doing it, and from what i've heard they haven't been apart of any other major games in the past. But i mean i guess i'll have to just take a risk and get it on the Xbox One and see how it is. Can't really be much worse than it is on 360.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
To anyone that hasn't bought AW, or is still on the fence, i'd hold off on buying it for now. Game has been out ~3 weeks now and has more problems than probably any CoD i've ever played. Granted, i've never played a CoD on or close to release, but i'm sure that shouldn't be an excuse for some of the issues AW currently has. First off, the connection. Something that after 6 or 7 years of producing a new game annually should not be an issue anymore. But it seems like AW is suffering more than any of its predecessors. Currently, it's impossible for me to find a game where i have either a 3 bar or 4 bar. All of my games are either 1 bar or 2 bar. This is not an exaggeration. Since the latest patch (i think it was on the 21st of Nov) i have yet to join a game that had a "decent" connection. I can say with certainty that it has nothing to do with my internet, as MW3 and BO2 are both running just fine. I think it's because of Skill Based Matchmaking, which exclusively matches me with American and British lobbies (US lobbies being the majority). So for anyone living outside the UK, the US, and the EU, be prepared. Secondly, the gun balance. It's almost expected by now that there are going to be a select few guns that are going to be better than any of the other guns. The AN94, M8A1, MSMC, and Scorpion from BO2 are decent examples. The ACR and MP7 from MW3. But in both those games, on a non competitive level, you could still compete with people using those guns if you weren't. They were noticeably better, but not to the point where they should be considered "overpowered". In AW gun balance does not exist. The BAL is the first weapon you get, and the only weapon you'll ever need. It outguns any other weapon, at any range (except perhaps a shotgun at barrel-stuffing range). The AK is a decent option, but it quickly becomes inferior at longer ranges. The MK14 is a complete joke. It has a similar 3 hit kill range as a pistol, at longer ranges it takes up to 4 hits to kill (if i remember correctly), and it has terrible recoil. Both of the burst weapons have potential, but without a good connection it's going to take you 4 or 5 bursts to kill someone. SMGs are fairly useless. They're easily outclassed by the BAL. Shotguns are useless. They have terrible range, and the pellet spread is crazy. At close range it can easily take you 2 or 3 shots with the Bulldog to kill someone. The clip is tiny, so it's fairly difficult to kill more than one person per clip unless they're onto of each other. Unlocking extended mags requires 25 double kills, and getting a double kill in AW is probably harder than it has been in any previous CoD. Even MW3 allows for a bigger gap between kills. The snipers are still as annoying as they have been in previous games. Quickscoping is not dead. With the amount of snipers i find in lobbies, it's still well and truly alive. Once you are comfortable with the new movements, it's no harder than it was in previous games. I haven't used the LMGs too much, but they seem pretty irrelevant as well aside from the EM1. After the latest patch there have been rumours going around that the EM1 was buffed (along with the BAL being nerfed in terms of recoil). I didn't use the EM1 pre-patch, but i can confirm that right now it melts. So i have to take back what i said about the BAL previously. It's probably not the best gun right now, but it's without a doubt second to the EM1. So your lobby is likely to be filled with people using either the BAL or EM1. It makes for an extremely dull killfeed. The perks all seem fairly alright, with Low Profile probably being the only one i can say is "broken". They went back the the BO1 style of Ghost (the non-pro version of the perk), making it a perfect choice for anyone who enjoys sitting in the corner of a map with a silenced weapon getting themselves 3 or 4 kills a game. Couple it with Cold Blooded and Blind Eye, and you're set. Hardline seems fairly useless. Blast Suppressor is probably the only "must have" perk. Without it you'll get punished for using your Exo Abilities. Seems kind of stupid punishing players who choose to use new mechanics. I can't really make sense of it. The scorestreaks are a letdown. The ability to customize them is pretty cool, but in order for you to make them actually viable, you need to customize to to the point where getting them becomes nearly impossible. Using the Paladin as an example, the only way i can see it being useful as a "high end killstreak" would be to use 3 customization with it putting it at 1650 points to get. In TDM it means going on a 17 gunstreak or a 16 killstreak with 2 assists. In objective game modes it will take you a 33 gunstreak assuming you're not playing the objective. Killing enemies on the objective will obviously reduce the amount of kills needed, but i can't see myself going on a ~15 gunstreak WHILE playing the objective. The Bombing Run is probably the best streak right now, but it's nowhere near as good as the Stealth Bomber from MW3. If you're lucky you'll get 3 or 4 kills with it. The radius on it seems pretty small, and if you're using Flak Jacket it's pretty likely you won't die from it. Currently i'm using a UAV with Extra Time, Threat Detection and Support (which seems to work alright), Bombing Run, and a Care Package with Trap, Double Tap and Support (which seems to work alright too). Nothing else seems forth using unless you customize it to the point where you need to go on crazy gunstreaks to get them. The game types and maps are all fairly solid. Although some of the maps would be considered big compared to previous CoD games, their size works perfectly with the Exo Movements. I was on the fence about some of the maps in the beginning, but once you get the hang of them i don't think you can really say any of them are really bad. Recovery might be the only exception, but that's only after the map changes. Momentum is a really fun game type, assuming you're not being spawn trapped. It's the new Demolition. If you lose map control, you're going to get spawn trapped. And i don't mean spawn trapped like Nuketown on BO2 where you at least have a chance of "escaping". I mean Birdman style spawn trapping, where you'll spawn melee distance from someone sitting right behind you killing you before you can even take a step. Probably half of the Momentum games i've joined the past week have been like this. It's a game type that can either be a lot of fun, or cause unimaginable amounts of frustration. Recovery and Detroit are probably the two worst maps for this. I'm hoping that a future patch might force you to spawn on the opposite side of the map in situations like these. Even if you end up losing the game, at least you don't have to die 40 times to some [wagon]. Uplink seems like a glorified 1-Flag CTF. It's alright. It's pretty fun. I just see no reason why it should ever be used in competitive. With all of that said, i believe that AW can be a great game if and when all the issues are ironed out. Sledgehammer managed to bring something new and exciting to the table. Something that actually works. Something that gives CoD a new twist without changing it completely, without making it feel like it's no longer Call of Duty. But all the above mentioned issues make it near impossible to have an enjoyable experience right now. For reference, i'm playing on the 360 and i do live in the middle of nowhere (although location should never be a major issue). I have been toying with the idea of getting an Xbox One, but since CoD is 50% of the reason i wanted to "upgrade" i'm a bit hesitant. I'm not sure whether or not these issues exist on the new consoles (i'm sure to a certain degree they will), so it makes no sense to spend another $50 on the same broken game. EDIT: I actually forgot to mention something else. It's become so common that i started thinking it was an intentional feature. Anyway... Map glitches. At least 4 of the maps currently have a certain wall you can glitch into. You usually can't be seen from the outside, although you can perfectly see anyone that passes by (and obviously kill them). It's become so popular that i'll often just back out of a lobby when certain maps are selected. I've played in lobbies where parties of 4+ people would run to this spot right from the start, and camp there the entire game. A few days ago i had this happen during a game of TDM. We were playing on Comeback. 6 man party ran to the spot off spawn, sat there the entire duration of the game. When they died, they would run back. The game lasted the entire 10 minutes with neither team scoring more than 40 kills iirc.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
I finally decided to finish Darksiders. I remember buying it like 3 years ago. I got pretty in to it, then for some reason lost interest. Yesterday i decided to give it a go again, and i do not regret it. Damn, what an awesome game it turned out to be. A bit on the short side, to be honest, but it was great. EDIT: Have any of you ever played Ninja Blade? It's a pretty cool game, just a few things that annoy my. But i've been looking for a similar game for a while now, and i've been unable to really find anything like it. It's got some really cool mechanics. The story line is pretty stupid, in all honesty, but the game play is fun. I just hate a melee type game that has no lock-on option. Half the time i feel like i'm slicing and dicing the air.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Anyone try out the Ranked Playlist yet? I tried it out yesterday and to be honest... it wasn't the greatest. You can get put in games already in progress. My first game i was put in a game of SnD on Detroit with my team leading 5-4. My second game was CTF of Recovery. The enemy team all quit out after we got 2 caps in the first minute. My third game was Uplink on Detroit. This game actually was actually the first decent game i had, except i was on a 1-bar and ended up feeding the enemy team kills. Forth game was momentum on Riot. Again, decent game. Started out 0-9 but then pulled it back and dropped 45-ish kills with 30-ish deaths to get the win in overtimes. I was actually on a team with a two man party, both of whom seemed to be pretty decent. They were on my team during the Uplink game too. Fifth game was Solar Hardpoint. I went off. 30 - 12 playing the OBJ. Was a close game the entire time, till the last 2 hardpoints. I was holding down the OBJ and started slaying like a boss. Anyway, won 5 of the 5 games i played. Got put into the second division, but it didn't feel anything like BO2 League Play. You can use scorestreaks (even the UAV). Some of the maps are complete ass. Some of the allowed equipment/exo abilities/attachments/streaks need to be banned. Hopefully, once E-sports rules are better defined, the Ranked Playlist will be a bit more ironed out. Right now though it's basically just 4v4 pubs.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I Prestiged once. Probably won't do it again. The thought of having to unlock attachments again really isn't appealing to me. EDIT: Just had my highest scoring TDM game so far. Went 45-9. We only just managed to pull off the win. 75-73. My teammates were a bunch of detriments. One of them went 2-14. I think this is my first 40 kill TDM. Now i'll be looking for the 50 kill game. Decided i might as well try and go for max prestige despite what i said earlier. Unlocking the attachments i use really isn't that hard. I actually managed to unlock Stock, Quickdraw, Extended Clip and Grip in about 5 or 6 games. And i'm pretty much just going to stick to the BAL from now on. No other gun is really worth using. Even the AK is weak in comparison.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Me and my girlfriend broke up a week ago. This past week has been a bit easier than i thought it would be. I miss her. She was my best friend, but we weren't working out. Her expectations were too different from mine. She had to "change" too much about herself to be with me. She constantly mentioned it when we had fights too. I never asked her to change anything, i always gave her the option. I laid out my expectations and gave her the option of either being with me or being with someone that doesn't mind those things. She chose to stay, so she chose to change whatever it was that bothered me. Just as i changed certain aspects of myself. Anyway, over the past 2 or 3 months things have been piling up more and more. Arguments were more frequent. Other drama started. I started feeling less and less for her in terms of physical attraction. It was pretty obvious too. I guess she knew this was coming. But on Friday night last week i told her that i think we should part our ways. Things were said, obviously. She thought that i would change my mind and beg for her to take me back, but i didn't. So she started begging, playing on my emotions. Understandable. We have known each other for almost 5 years, dated for almost 3 of them. Just too much happened in the 2 years we weren't together, and sometimes i couldn't look at her the way i wanted too. And in a way i think that's what started this from the start. It sucks... Anyway... the past week wasn't as hard as i thought it would be. I thought i'd miss her a lot more. I thought i'd be tempted to text her, or call her. But i really didn't want too. Sometimes when i'm up really late at night i'll feel it (like now), but i think that's only the lack of sleep kicking in. I wish we could still be friends. She's a great person, and she's fun to be around. But unfortunately with everything that has happened, now and in the past, i doubt that's possible. I think i want to stay single for a while now. Stay away from girls a bit.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Yeah it's pretty boring watching the killfeed. Either it's a BAL or a MORS. The other guns just need to be slightly buffed. The BAL isn't really overpowered, the other guns are just weak. Also, SMGs... You should never be able to get outgunned at close range by an AR if you're using an SMG. That's just stupid.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Problem with Assault Rifles is that anything is outclassed by the BAL. It's not the the BAL is too good, it's just that everything else isn't good enough. The AK comes close, but still not good enough. Funny enough, i prefer the AK though. Just feels and sounds like a more solid gun. And i do better with it at longer ranges. Like i said before, the IMR is good. But like any burst weapon, you need a connection for it. Otherwise you're getting nothing but hitmarkers. One thing that i never really manage to understand is how they still manage to [bleep] up gun balance this much. It's been 10 years and they still can't make guns balanced. Honestly, with the next CoD, Treyarch should just go ahead and make 1 Sniper, 1 SMG, and 1 AR. Spend the rest of their time on bettering other parts of the game, and call it a day. Because truth be told, it's clear that they have no idea how to balance guns by now. Famas and UMP in MW2, ACR and MP7 in MW3, Famas and AK74U in BO1, AN94 and Scorpion in BO2, MTAR and later the Vector in Ghosts, and now the BAL in AW. At least the AN and Scorpion in BO2 weren't exactly "overpowered" they were just both extremely easy to use. BO2 is probably the only game that's had some sort of gun balance. But AW is still new. Hopefully they'll iron out the issues within the next few weeks.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Just got a 62 kill game. Wasn't very clean. Died like 44 times trying to capture flags in Momentum. Pretty much 80% of the kills were hipfire kills too. MP11 with Advanced Rifling, Grip and Extended Mags. Deadly. Had a few triples, tons of doubles. Really loving momentum. I feel like it's one of the only gametypes where SMGs really shine.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I think i may have found the perfect troll class. MDL with Danger Close, Overkill with Heavy Shield, 2 Grenades. Perfect for Hardpoint and Momentum. Spam the grenades and watch the feed. Had a game earlier on Detroit. Joined about 3 or 4 minutes late and still ended up getting 43 kills. It's hilarious.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
If they're at a distance, obviously it's easy. If they're closer than i'd like, usually i'd jump as well. Or i'd spray from the hip. Hipfiring seems a lot more accurate than in previous CoDs. Low sensitivity has never been a detriment to me. In fact, it's probably the only reason my play has improved as much as it has. The only time i have to change it is when i snipe, and that only happens once every 100 games or so. Even sniping on 3 sensitivity is doable. It's just impossible to follow moving targets then, even at a long distance. So either you get lucky with perfect placement, or you accept that you're going to die, haha. EDIT: I've been hearing a lot of people complaining about how bad scorestreak are, especially because they're so hard to get. Personally i feel like that's a good thing for two reasons: 1.) I don't want to get punished because of bad teammates. The amount of times i died to scorestreaks in BO2 because my teammates would go quadruple negative....countless. I can't stand it. 2.) Campers shouldn't be rewarded for camping. I know there will always be people camping, but at least now i know that them sitting in one spot for the entire game, going 10-0 isn't going to lead to them getting some over powered killstreak that's going to kill me 15 times. Most streaks are pretty terrible now, some of them are alright. I've been using the UAV, Sentry and Care Package all with the support option. On the Sentry i use the 360 degree and Auto Turret options too. If i place it in a decent spot, it get's me a few kills now and then, usually i'm lucky if i get one kill though. I think the most kills i've gotten from a single sentry was 4, perhaps. This is perfect in my opinion. CoD should be about gunskill, not camping for killstreaks.

I still play on 3 Sensitivity, haha. Can't see myself ever going higher, or needing to.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I hope you just press the reload button once too, if you press it twice it reloads 30% faster but wastes the rest of the mag. Luckily that's a habit i've avoided developing.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Been getting the hang of the SMGs now. Had a really good Hardpoint game earlier. Went 45/21 with 6 Captures, 11 Defends. Using the MP11. The gun is a beast at close range. I was getting triples and quads on the first Hardpoint just pre-aiming down the two tunnels on Bio Lab. As soon as you get Advanced Rifling, it becomes pretty decent to use on the smaller maps, Only downside is with the high rate of fire, you run out of bullets so fast. It can be a challenge killing more than one enemy with a clip unless they're lined up. Just need one more Double Kill for the extended mags, hopefully it goes better then.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Reached level 50. Was thinking about prestiging, but i can't see it being worth it. Some of the attachments are pretty annoying to get (extended mags, for example) and i really don't want to get it again. All in all though, i've been having a ton of fun. Started moving around a lot more. Using the suit a bit better. Right now the BAL is by far my favorite gun, closely followed by the IMR. I love burst weapons. So accurate and it's really fun to use on some of the maps. I'm really enjoying the maps. I don't really think there's a particular one i don't enjoy playing. Except maybe Terrace. But that's probably only because i haven't played it enough yet to kind of figure out where to go and where not to go. Also, my connection has been a lot better all day today. That's a good thing too. Some of the spawns are completely messed up though. I've spawned in a gunfight a few times, i spawned right in front of someone too. And i don't mean he was looking the other way and i spawned near by. I mean he was running through a corridor and i got falcon punched right off spawn. On riot if you stay on the roof tops, you can pretty much spawntrap the enemy team too. They'll either spawn outside by what i assume is some sort of yard or something, or they'll spawn on the opposite side near the burning cars. So that rooftop has become my favorite spot to patrol in TDM. With the IMR it's so easy to pick them off before they even realise what's happening.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I'm weak. I had a gift card for Virgin Megastores that I got for my birthday. They didn't have anything i wanted except for 2 hats, and i was still left over with enough to get AW. So i just decided to get it. It's pretty alright, to be honest. Slight learning curve. Not what i expected at all. You can still feel that's it's CoD even though it doesn't look like it at all. Online has some pretty bad lag. Maybe it's just my region, but i haven't been able to play a game without lag yet. Even still, it's really fun. Managed to somehow get on a 10 Killstreak. Highest so far, haha. Killtimes are so damn fast. I never played Ghosts much, so i am still used to BO2 killtimes. It's almost impossible to turn on someone. The SMGs seem to be extremely weak, even at close range. Their damage probably needs a bit of a buff. The BAL and AK seem to be the two best choices for now, i guess. I've been having some alright games with one of the SMGs though, the one you unlock third. It seems alright. But i still lose close range gunfights to a BAL now and then, which is frustrating. Maps really aren't made for SMGs either. They're a bit too big, i think. But i think the size of the maps fit the playstyle really well. I think though that i'm still trying to play this like it's BO2. I don't really use the double jump a lot. I also tend to stick to low ground. Probably not the best idea. I just feel like im too open when i start running around on buildings. So far, i have to admit i'm quite happy (and surprised) with AW. EDIT AGAIN: Sniping is actually really hard.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I've been watching a few streams on mlg.tv Right now it seems like there's only 1 gun worth using in the entire game. Maybe 2. Stringing together kills seems pretty hard. Getting scorestreaks seem hard, and pointless. They don't don't seem to be all that effective. Also, it seems like you almost get punished for using exo abilities by showing up on the radar. Kind of rewards you for not using them. Might turn into another Ghosts because of it. I think the Competitive side of things might be a bit interesting depending on what's allowed and what's not. But i'm sticking to BO2 for now.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Okay i don't know if i have mentioned this before or not, but i'm pretty sure i have. On NYE last year i met this woman. She was 32 or 31, i can't remember. Me and my girlfriend were going through a rough patch (this is useless back story, by the way). That night this woman (feels weird calling a 30-something year old a girl) was hitting on me to no end. Even after telling her i have a girlfriend. Even after introducing her. She gave no shits. Anyway, she took my number cause she worked at the Airport and could help me out in the future, etc. As oblivious as i am, i actually thought that was her only intention. Fast forward a few days. It's a week or two into the new year. Me and my girlfriend decide to take a break. Things got a bit too heavy. We both had some emotional drama we had to sort out. Typical monogamous bullshit. Nothing new. So one night i was sitting behind my laptop, watching some shit on YouTube and this woman sends me a message on whatsapp. We talked, etc. She explained how she lost her phone on NYE and had to kill 3 puppies, sacrifice a goat, and suck a strangers dick to get my number back. She felt bad for not being able to communicate with me (i never bothered taking her number that night so i couldn't initiate). Anyway we started talking and before i knew it i was asking her why she really wanted my number. She admitted to having a sexual attraction towards me, but it felt weird because i'm almost 10 years her junior. Long story short, she asked me to come over. It's a weird and long story of how we actually got to that point, but yeah. Next thing i knew i was in the bathroom doing some manscaping, taking a shower, and having a peptalk with my penis letting it know exactly what would happen if it didn't perform. An hour later i'm in my car on my way to her house. I'll spare the gory details, but all i can say is it's a night i'll never forget. As long as i live. She did things to me i can't even describe. Things that come from years and years of practice and experience. As i walked back to my car that night, wobbly legs and all, it reminded me of something i heard either in a movie or in a series or perhaps i read it somewhere. It basically said something along the lines of "If you (referring to the guy) were screaming more than she was, you're the one that got [bleep]ed and she was the one doing all the [bleep]ing". That night i got [bleep]ed. I got my brains [bleep]ed out. Without a doubt the best sexual experience of my life. I don't know how this has any relevance to the entire thread, to anything that has been said on this page, or on the last 10 pages. But i just read Jeff and Muggi talking about older women and i was reminded of that night.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Just curious if anyone is going to bother getting this? Also curious on what your thoughts are about the game? Personally i'll wait a while before i get it (if i decide to get it). I'll see what happens to Black Ops 2. If it dies down too much, i might pick up AW. In all honesty though, there are a few things that "bother" me about AW. It seems a bit too futuristic in my opinion. I watched the OpTic stream the other day, and it reminded me a lot of Halo. I've never played Destiny or Titanfall, but from the gameplay i've seen AW seems to be similar to both of those in some ways. Another thing that i'm slightly uncomfortable with is the jump mechanic. I might be wrong, but it looks like you can jump a lot higher in AW than you could before. If this is true, a Scuf controller will become almost mandatory. Jump-shots already give enough of an advantage in Black Ops 2, so i don't even want to think about what it could do in AW. Without a doubt in competitive, unless you play claw, you're going to have a hard time without a Scuf. I'm not sure what competitive will be like in AW. Happy to that Hardpoint is back though. It's going to be an interesting year. Let's hope they do better than Ghosts.

Dark souls
Dark Souls is just like any other game. The more you play, the better you get. My first playthrough was pretty terrible. I died a few times more than i would have liked. Second playthrough i probably died 10 times at most, and i'm fairly confident that i can do an entire playthrough with zero deaths now. But it's still a challenge every time, just knowing that a small mistake could be costly. The last thing i remember doing was a Soul Level 1 playthrough, and i have to say that it was really challenging. Especially the DLC bosses. When i had to fight Artorias i actually had 2 other SL1 friends help me out. It was a ton of fun. I never managed to have this much fun on Dark Souls 2 though. I feel like it was really scaled down in the difficulty department. I remember the first few days after release some things were really tough, and then a lot of things got nerfed. That's pretty much when i put the controller down and decided to stop playing it.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I don't believe she's [bleep]ing the other guy. She's not attracted to Arabs anyway, from what she's told me. I believe he is in the friendzone, but he doesn't know this and she's not making it clear to him either. He's trying his ass off, and she loves the attention. Another reason is that she has too much to lose. The way she made it seem was like she's "settling" for him. Which is extremely ironic considering it's actually the other way around. He turned 25 about 3 weeks ago. He drives a Benz c63 which he bought cash. He lives in his own 4 bedroom house in one of the more expensive parts of the city. He has investments all over the world, and he plans on buying a Ferrari middle next year soon as one of his investments pay out. I don't think she's ever had to pay for anything in the past 2 years since they started dating. When we go out he always gets a table, which is a minimum of $80 per person, more or less. But he spends probably 4 times that amount. He's taken her to Guy Savoy on more than one occasion, which is about $500 per person if you go for the 5-course meal (which they usually do). She's 22 and she's living a better life than most people twice her age that have worked for 20+ years. He's extremely devoted to his work and his family. Sometimes i wouldn't see him for weeks at a time because he's so busy with work, he usually just goes home and passes out. He's one of the most respectable people i have ever met. He's modest. If you meet him you would never be able to say he's wealthy simply because he's just not the flashy type. He probably spends more money on her than he does on himself, and she's never had to ask for any of it. He does it just because he loves her, and he wants her to have nice things. She comes from a "middle-class" family. Her parents both work fairly bad jobs. I think she told me he earns on a month what they earn in 3 months combined. The problem is that he's a lot like me. He doesn't like spending every weekend in a noisy club. He doesn't do drugs, he has a hard time even smoking weed. He does now and then but he says it's because it's an experience he wants to share with his girlfriend. When her car broke down a few months ago he offered to pay for everything. She turned him down, but he was willing to pay for it without even asking what it would cost. When her dog got sick he took it to the vet, had him taken care of, got him his shots, bought him toys, a new bed, food etc, etc. without her even knowing. He did it while she was at work the one day. The list goes on and on. But basically, she has way too much to lose. And the reasons i mentioned above are exactly why she wouldn't cheat on him. She knows as soon as she does that, her comfy lifestyle ends, and chances or getting it back with someone else are extremely slim unless she's willing to date a 50 year old. But that said, she's not in it for the money either. Because when they first met, for about the first 5 or 6 months she had no idea how much money he had. He hid it from her. Or he didn't hide it, he just didn't show it. The things she told me about him really shows me she loves him for who he is. She's never mentioned her lifestyle with him or the money. It's like she doesn't even realise it's there. She's grateful for it of course, and she shows it. It's just some of the things i was told... it kind of gave me a knot in my stomach. I'm still not sure whether it was misunderstood, or what. I don't think using the drunk excuse is a smart thing either, cause there's that whole "drunk words are sober thoughts" thing. I'm scared for him. He can do a lot better. Everyone loves him, he literally has to push hit girls off him sometimes. Girls that are A LOT hotter than she is. She's slightly overweight, doesn't know how to dress for her body type, and she's not the smartest cookie around either. On an intellectual and superficial level, he could do a lot better. The fact that she made it seem like SHE was settling for HIM is what pissed me off.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I think the biggest issue on this topic is just the difference between countries/cultures. From where I'm standing I see little wrong with it, but from where Noxx is standing, even if he is progressive, he lives in a country where not to long ago a cultural norm would have been needing a family member in the room for a women to date. (sorry if I am completely off centre but am using general knowledge of similiar, but hardcore, countries in that region and presuming Qatar is much more progressive) Well i'm South African so that doesn't really apply to me. But i guess i consider myself a semi-conservative person. I wouldn't like my wife talking to some guy at like 3 am, whether it's by phone or text. I just don't think that it's an appropriate time. Personally i feel her talking to him probably isn't the biggest issue, the picture sending probably isn't bad either (i'm sure theres a reason for it), it's just the time that would be a bit of an issue for me. Also, apparently this guy owed her money from one night they went out and she had to pay for him to get into the club. He came to her house to give her the money back. Again, he chose to do it at 2am or something. he showed up without the money and she had to drive to the ATM with him to go get it. I just feel like these are the kind of things you don't do with a guy and then "hide" it from your boyfriend. She basically told him that he brought her the money at 2am. She didn't tell him she had to drive with him to go get it. She was being dishonest and sneaky about a few things the past week or two, ever since she and this guy started talking more often.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Am I the only person who seems absolutely nothing wrong with her talking to this guy? She's talking to him via a purely electronic medium without (at least what it looks like from what I read) any romantic or sexual subtext to it. Even if you do believe 100% in monogamy (which, for the record, is my personal choice) I see nothing wrong with someone having friends of the opposite sex, so long as they are just friends. I think the issue was how much they were talking, and that it would be at strange hours. Like she was telling me they would be talking till like 3am, or he would be calling her at 3am, ect. I don't know if that's really appropriate. I don't know how i would feel about that.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Okay so he talked to her. She claims that my girlfriend is lying or she misunderstood what she was told. So i'm thinking that either his girlfriend is lying, or she was actually too drunk to realise what she was saying. I think it might be a combination of both. Funny thing is, he told me when he went over to talk to her today she made him out to be the criminal. Like he should have never believed anything anyone told him. That she loves him, and she's happy with him, etc. If she wasn't she wouldn't be with him. I don't know. I told him to do what he feels is right. He's confused right now. I guess it's understandable. I'd give it a week or two and see how things are then. Perhaps things might be different. I actually told a friend of mine about this and he was saying that if you want to have a health relationship you need to learn how to deal with the things that annoy you, not change them. If you don't like her texting other people like that, then tell her it upsets you. But don't ask her to change. Because you're going to ask her to change, and she'll go back to doing the exact same thing once the two of you are comfortable again. I think it was solid advice. Don't try and change it, tell her how it makes you feel and if she wants to change it then she will. If she doesn't change it, obviously she doesn't care as much as you thought she did. And if that is the case, the answer should be very clear.
