Lag comp has been there since CoD4, or maybe it was MW2. People just became more aware of it later on. I can have the same connection issues on any CoD. Some days my shots register really well and i'll drop an enemy in a second (with the PP90M1 and Rapidfire i can easily kill 6 - 7 enemies with a clip assuming the gunfights are short range) and other days the shots just don't want to register at all meaning i can put half an extended MP7 clip in someone and still die. It's something you have to accept when it comes to online gaming. Your connection will bs you, whether it's the best or worst money can buy. But then again, i've never really noticed lag comp all that much whether i was playing on a good connection on bad. I think it's an overused, overhyped term. When i play on a 2-bar or sometimes even a 3-bar, if i get in a 1 on 1 gunfight i'll lose lose it 90% of the time (the 10% is when the person shooting at me forgets how to aim). If i'm on a 4-bar shooting at someone with a 3/2-bar i'll win the gunfight 90% of the time (the 10% being if is forget how to aim). But i can agree with the BO2 view lag. Can't say much about Ghosts since i never really played it. I do know that the Silenced Mtar is popular under pro players because apparently it has better hit registration, or something of the sorts.

Dad had a minor stroke last night. Scariest moment of my life. Ambulance took 20 minutes to get here, too. Which didn't help the state of panic we were in. Once they finally arrived it seemed like they were in no rush to get him to the hospital. Asking a million questions before doing anything. I realise it's their job though. They did an excellent job at calming us all down. When they got him in the Ambulance we sped off to the hospital which is generally like a 20 minute drive if you include traffic but somehow we managed to get there in under 10 minutes. One thing i do appreciate about the people in this country, as bad as the driving can be at times, when they see police/ambulance lights flashing behind them they will do whatever it takes to get out of the way. Even if it means driving up the curb (at traffic lights). Turns out all was fine though. My dad was free to go at around 4am, after a series of tests. One thing i can say is my dad's a [bleep]ing lion. Through the entire thing he was very calm and collected. I was freaking out a bit, but he told me exactly what i needed to do. Since we don't have a street name it can be hard to direct people to our house, but we have a blue placard thing outside our house with a street number, house number and zone number on it. My dad told me to run outside and give them that. His speech was so slurred, he was so out of breath, he said his arms and legs felt paralyzed, but he still kept his cool. What a [bleep]ing man.

BO2 was the best CoD without any doubt. Even the people who hated it will agree with this. Even with all the bullshit it's still the most popular CoD. People want what BO2 offered. Good (small - medium) maps, good killstreaks, well balances weapons (with the exception of maybe one or two of the Snipers and Shotguns). People don't want big maps, because it encourages others to sit in a corner and make a TDM last 10 minutes. That's why Aftermath and Turbine are skipped so often. That's why Nuketown and Hijacked will always be voted for. As for recoil on the guns... None of them actually had any real recoil. On PC, maybe. Because you don't have Aim Assist to stick to the target. But on console, if you complain about recoil on a CoD gun... then you're doing it wrong. Most guns in CoD are lasers. None of them have any recoil that should give you any problems. That's why in MW3 crossmap MP7 kills were a thing. And why crossmap Vector/Mtar kills are a thing in Ghosts. The guns have no recoil.

Looks like it's going to be a Germany vs Netherlands final. I was really hoping Argentina would make it to the finals but i can't see them beating Netherlands at the moment. Kind of sucks, i was hoping to see them in the finals. Anyone have some predictions for the knockouts?

Ramadan started today (i think). 1 month of no eating or drinking in public, clubs are dry, driving gets totally insane (probably more accidents in this month than any 4 months of the year combined). But on a plus side lots of specials and sales, nightlife is amazing, and all the nice cars come out.

Why the middle finger? I don't understand that one, unless you play claw. It's kind of the way it rests on the controller, right beneath the left trigger. And i think i grip it too tightly.

I have to admit that this World Cup has been kind of crazy so far. A lot of upsets. My brackets didn't play out the way i expected at all. But i'm happy to see USA with their current position. Personally i would have preferred Iran to be second over Nigeria. I'm still in a bit of shock over Spain being knocked out. I haven't been able to watch much of Argentina so i'm not sure whether they've been struggling or just playing extremely passive (i hope for the latter). I'm excited to see what happens once knockouts start. But thus far the Dutch are just looking head and shoulders above the rest.

As tempted as i've been to buy some games, i've decided to be strong and not give in. Last steam sale i spent about $300 and most of those games are still waiting to be played. So hard though, when you see something you might like, and you can't get it.

Do you ever find that girls tell you they trust you really fast? Cause i feel like i've never really been scared to tell someone what's on my mind. A few years ago that was part of the reason i wasn't very well liked by a lot of people we used to see at parties and such. But i've never been scared of speaking my mind no matter what the consequences. Anyway, i try to do the same when it comes to girls and i always found that they open up to me extremely fast. Perhaps it the type of girl i am attracted to, maybe it's not. But i always thought that perhaps it's just a result of my "honesty". Was just wondering if you might experience the same sort of thing?

Fell asleep watching MLG Anaheim, woke up at around 3:30am which was pretty much exactly when the finals started. Went exactly how i expected it to go. Also my middle finger is swollen from all the xbox i've been playing the past week...

I enjoy playing BO1 every now and then when i feel like Sniping. Sniping is pretty hard on BO1 (in general i'm not great at sniping cause i play on a low sensitivity). But sniping on BO1 is so rewarding. But yeah, compared to the new CoD's it's so slow. Even on the smaller maps. I think though, the slower paced CoD's were better in a way. A lot less BS like broken camera angles, barrels and cars exploding all over the place, etc.

I feel kinda bad. I played some BO1 earlier (found the disk, didn't even remember i had it). Somehow i got host against a lobby full of EU players (i'm in the Middle East). They were all 2-barring. It was like Combat training just easier. I got Dogs and Chopper each game, even managed to get it while sniping which is hilarious cause i play on such a low sensitivity, and i can't even snipe either. Played a few games then left cause i started feeling bad. Damn BO1 just isn't fun for me. Even when i do good it just isn't fun. I don't understand why.

;______; I've been thinking if I should drop my diploma course and just focus full-time on a job, Although I'm not at risk of losing money, the income from government assist is barely enough to support myself with a strong AU dollar. Plus I hate relying on government assists. Don't worry you really didn't miss out on much to be quite honest. Friday mornings here ever (most) hotels have a buffet and it usually ranges from about $70 - $100 (some of them go a bit higher) and the Intercontinental is known for their excellent Seafood buffet (the restaurant that offers it is called "The Fishmarket".) There you can have as much shrimp, oysters, fresh fish, and lobster as you can stomach. To make things better this includes whine too. I think this is one of the more pricey places at something like $100 (might be a bit less) but its well worth it. I remember when me and my girlfriend went there not long ago. We probably sat there for 3 hours stuffing our faces. I expected something similar from this, but it really wasn't anything close to it. I would probably not go there if i had to pay.

Been taking a break from Diablo 3 (probably will be till RoS is released) and been playing a lot of MW3. I feel like this could have been the best CoD with a few small changes. If IW and 3arc sit down and share some ideas, i think something good could come from it. I have always liked MW3 a lot simply because i feel it had decent maps and gun balance. Sure, the Type 95, ACR and MP7 might have been slightly OP, and Assasain too, but with a few fixes it could have been the CoD everyone always wanted to play. In my opinion if Assassin was more like Ghost from BO2, it would have been perfect. If the ACR and MP7 weren't complete lasers, it would have been a lot better. And i feel like the Type 95 needed a bit of a damage reduction. Ive been using the Type 95 for a while now and the amount of crossmap 1 bursts i get is kind of stupid. Also, lethal killstreaks in Supports (Stealth Bomber), should not be there, and to make Air Support more useful i think Sam Turrets should have had a red box around them too when you're in a killstreak such as the Predator, Reaper, AC-130, etc. Obviously even with all those changes there will always be some way to bs the game. Doubt i'll ever spend money on another CoD anyway.

Me and my girlfriend won a meal for two at the Movenpick. Was pretty good. They had an all you can eat seafood buffet. Also i ran into my first hacker on MW3 earlier. Never quite understood why people hack in these kinda games. Don't really see how it can be fun.

Dusted off the old MW3 today. First time in about 2 years (maybe a bit less) i decided to play CoD on Console. All i can say is wow. I tried sniping for a bit and i can see why Console players complain about it so much. The auto aim on it is crazy. Actually the aim assist in general is crazy. Had a few decent games, even though i was on 2 - 3 bars the entire time. Was pretty fun.

Put in my Pre-order for Reaper of Souls today. First time i've actually bothered pre-ordering a game. I can't wait for Aug 19th now.

It's 5am and i can finally go to bed. For the past 3 hours i've been trying to figure out why my XBox didn't want to connect to live. After trying what i thought was everything i came across something reminding me that my Router's Firewall might be the cause, and it was :D Kind of happy cause i was about to give up.

Summer is well and truly here. Only got the courage to smoke two cigarettes today ( down from my usual 10-15 so im happy about that), cause it's just too hot to go outside. Also they FINALLY have a midday work ban for construction. Only took them like 30 years. From 11:30 - 15:00 all construction work is stopped due to the heat. I always found myself feeling really bad for people who had to work in ~50 degree weather with little or no water (obviously no water when it was during Ramadan).

I knew that the Netherlands would win, but 5-1 is something i didn't expect. Maybe a 2-1 or 3-1 at most. Germany - Portugal should be a good match too. I expect Germany to take it 3-1. But it's going to be a "close" game all the way. I'm also looking forward to see what Argentina can pull off. I know they're not an amazing international team despite having some good individual talent, but i'm hoping they can do something this time round. I don't think France, England, Italy, or Portugal are serious contenders for the finals, but i'm almost certain they're going to cause one or two upsets on the way. I'm looking to see Germany, Spain, Argentina or the Netherlands in the finals.

Lol i've actually made more friends the past year, that's strange. My gf always encourages me to go out and meet other "friends" cause i'm not exactly the guy that likes having a lot of friends.

Me and my girlfriend went geocaching today. Well we kind of started at at like 2am and ended at 6am... and it gave us a lot of time to talk about our relationship. About everything. Everything that happened from the day she left to California 3 years ago till today. We opened up a lot of "chests" that we both wanted to keep shut because talking about it either hurt or angered one of us. Got it all out in the open. It went so much better than i would have ever expected. I don't know but for the first time ever i think we were able to be honest with each other about everything and neither of us got mad. And we talked about the whole trust issue and i think we came to an understanding about it as well. Basically a few months ago (maybe Dec last year actually) she saw a message on my facebook from a girl i used to see in the US. It wasn't exactly an appropriate conversation to have with a girl when you have a girlfriend, and she told me that when i started acting really "protective" with my phone the past few days she kind of suspected that the same thing might have been happening again. Basically what happened what i sent a girl a message on facebook saying happy birthday. She replied almost right away and we ended up having a conversation. She said that she saw i was back with my ex again. She knew about my ex because one night when we were on a date my ex actually called me, i rejected the call, she asked who it was, etc. So she (the girl i was on the date with) asked me who she was and if i was still seeing her. Explained to her that she was just my ex but we were still good friends. She's on the other side of the country and we keep in touch now and then. So.... when she asked me about me being back with my ex again, she asked me if i was still with her at the time i was seeing her. I told her no, i dont do things that way. I really liked her, so i wasnt going to [bleep] around behind her back. My girlfriend just saw a conversation full of likes, liked, like, etc. I'm guessing not the smartest thing i ever did. So back to present. When she noticed me being dodgy with my phone she thought the same thing might have been going on. Thats why she wanted to check. But all she found were 3 un-replied messages from 2 different girls i knew back in the US. And then i explained to her why i was being weird with my phone. Basically i'd lock it whenever she came in the room. I did this because i always got annoyed at her always being on her phone, so i guess practice your own preach? She knows my lock code anyway so it's not like i was trying to hide anything from her. I just prefer spending time actually talking to her or watching a movie with her than being on my phone. And i guess this made sense to her. So in a way i feel like we actually resolved things. Theres a lot of history between me and her i don't really feel like discussing on here but things some people on here might know cause im sure i mentioned it in the past, but we just have a different kind of "connection" because of that. So when we both manage to stop being stubborn and actually sit down and talk its so easy to just clear thing sup and i guess give each other some reassurance again. Sorry if this post has been hard to read its currently 9:30 and i've not seen sleep in 30ish hours. Night.

They're banned here, for some really odd reason. I don't think you can have them imported either, because it will get confiscated at customs (and you might have to pay a hefty fine as well). I think the only way to get one is to buy one if you just so happen to travel abroad. Are the taxes on tobacco high where you live? That might be a reason. I'm actually not sure what the tax rate on it is. From what i know there's something like a 30% import duty and that's it. Average pack of cigarettes costs around $2.50 (Marlboro, Dunhill, etc). But yeah i always had a theory that the reason they don't want to sell e-cigarettes was because people would stop buying cigarettes which is an extremely profitable business here seeing as probably half the country smokes and because people would smoke in malls etc. We already have people smoking in malls at like a Starbucks/Costa, etc. They use the little "No Smoking" signs on the table as an ashtray... Ugh, $7.50 a pack for the bottom shelf here. Then again, at least it is't NYC. $11 a pack is just painful. Honestly one of the best reasons to quit is the cost though. Yeah i remember 2013 23rd Dec i had to catch a flight back from home Via Orlando - NY - Dubai. Flight in Orlando was delayed which meant i missed my connection in NY. Anyway had to spend the night there and really needed a smoke. Hotel i was staying in was selling for $14 a pack. It broke my heart but gotta feed that addiction. And if i remember correctly the Marlboro i used to smoke in the US was also around $6. I guess that's a bit better than $7.50 at least.

Idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing to be honest. I feel like for the most part Console is decently balanced except for the Demon Hunter. It's just never going to be as good as a decent Witch Doctor or decent Barbarian. It's actually gotten to the point where my WD and Barb are so much better than any of the other three that i have considered abandoning them and just sticking to the two. The barbarian is just an absolute tank the way i have it built now. With 80k HP, 521k sheet dps, 60% CC and 607% CD i can stand there spamming HotA and pretty much not worry about dying. I've gone up to Master 3 which i think is MP8 and it's been a breeze. Been thinking about trying out Master 5, although i'm sure it won't be too much of an issue. I was trying to check the true dps of it earlier and it was around the 3m mark, which i think is pretty solid for console standards, especially with unmodded gear.
