  1. BO2 is still one of the best CoD games imo. It's the only one i still play. I think on PC there's a lot less of the BS you find on consoles (Targetfinder Campers, Sniper abusing, etc). I feel like it's one of the best balanced CoD games too. You don't have an overpowered MP7/ACR or UMP45 like in MW3/2. Most guns have it's pros and cons. Even the snipers, after the nerf, are a lot more bearable than they were before. And scorestreaks actually do something, unlike in MW3/Ghosts. I am also now addicted to Torchlight 2. Ive played a good 35 hours this past week (i don't even know how). And i think i actually enjoy it more than i enjoy D3. I'm not sure why. I started off as a Witchdoctor on D3 and absolutely loved it, but i think my Berserker on T2 is just a lot more fun to play with. Not sure if it's the weapons or what, i just find it a lot more enjoyable. Also love the idea of Mapworks (i think that's what it's called). Great mechanic.
  2. BRO diablo 3 ROS is so much better ;-; I love how torn banner supports the mapping/modding community, however they really let me down with DW. It could be so much more but the bugs and unpolished state just make the game horrible (in comparison to the main game). Anywho, ive been playing Clash of Clans and Hearthstone regularly. Im glad they are games that wont lead to an addiction, but require steady dedication (unless you pay to win) I have D3 on Xbox. Love it to death. First few weeks i had it i could not put it down, and i have a feeling after i finish Torchlight i'll go back to D3 for a few weeks. I don't have ROS yet (don't know when/if it's coming out on console yet). But so far Torchlight is pretty cool.
  3. Started playing Torchlight II a bit today. Actually bought it during the Xmas steam sales but never even touched it. It's pretty fun so far.
  4. As i mentioned before, age is unavoidable. I won't leave someone for their age. It's a natural process, getting fat isn't. Especially if you gain weight because of laziness. From age 10 - 20 i spent 3 - 5 hours 5 - 6 days a week on the tennis court and on the track field. I worked hard to maintain my figure by eating right. Sure, i did go through a phase of eating a lot of junk food, but i did what was needed to get rid of the shit in my body. The problem is that people take more calories than they need to, sit on the couch expecting to lose it and then this (points to RPG's question below) becomes their most convenient excuse. If it's a thyroid issue i want medical tests stating it. If it can't be medically proven by her, i'll assume she's being a lazy shit. I just can't tolerate people who are overweight. I'm not sure why, but it frustrates the shit out of me. As i have said before, if i can keep a good figure then anyone can. Unless you have some sort of physical disability that prevents it, in which case i would understand. When i went to the US i was disgusted in the majority of people who went to fast food franchises. More than half of the people i saw there should be eating nothing but celary sticks and drinking water. I do not discriminate against them for being fat, i discriminate against them for being lazy and calling it an "illness" or "disease".
  5. Exactly. I'll still love her because she's an amazing person. But i'll no longer feel sexually attracted to her, so what's the point of continuing a committed monogamous relationship with her? If i have to fantasize about other women every time i have sex with her, why don't i just have sex with other women instead? That is one of the biggest reasons why I am not monogamous >_> Ginger I don't think he was getting defensive or anything. Relatively sure everybody ITT is more or less in agreement here. The only one who doesn't agree is Noxx's gf Yeah i wasn't trying to defend my self, or justify my "actions". I was just agreeing on what Muggi said. And i don't think my GF actually disagrees with anything either. She understands that you "fall in love" with a certain type of person. When that person is no longer the same person you "fell in love" with, then obviously some sort of attraction will be lost. To me the attraction is more physical based and to her the attraction is more personality based. She said that if i ever changed the way i behaved (or became overly aggressive) she would have a hard time finding me attractive. She knows i'm not joking. I've mentioned this a few times before. Her mother is overweight out of pure laziness. I told her a few months ago that if she starts looking like her mother i'm out. Untraditional, vein, shallow, selfish... whatever the term people want to use, i don't think it's unreasonable at all. I'm sure if i don't find her attractive 100 other guys will. Guys who will appreciate her for being "chunky". Also what i said i might as well be with other women i meant "woman", haha. I don't think i'm cut out for poly. I tried it once, it was fun. But it wasn't for me.

  7. Yeah of course that's natural and unavoidable. But gaining weight due to an unhealthy lifestyle is not.
  8. So last weekend we went to a friend's birthday. We bumped into one of my ex-girlfriends there. It was slightly awkward because she and my girlfriend never liked each other, even before i met either of them. But my girlfriend knows i always considered her to be one of the hottest girls i've ever dated. Later that night she asked me if i still thought she was hot. I told her that since she gained a few pounds, i don't. Not even in the slightest. Since i never really found her to have an attractive personality, there was now nothing about her that i found attractive. She continued by asking me if i would feel the same about her if she gained weight. I gave her my honest answer. I told her that i probably couldn't stop loving her, unless she did something that really hurt/upset me. But if she gained weight, i would stop being attracted to her. I would leave her, but i'd still love her (and probably be angry at her for not taking care of herself). I guess she was a bit surprised by my answer, because she fell silent for a while afterwards. I explained to her (she already knew this anyway) that i grew up in a very health conscious house. And a house where being overweight was always associated with being unhealthy. My grandmother died of obesity. At age 67 she weighed a whopping 160KG and she was a mere 5'3" tall. She was as wide as she was tall. I saw the stress this created not only for my grandfather, but for my father and his brothers. As my grandfather couldn't pay for hospital bills, the burden was places on his kids. My grandmother's condition was not hereditary, it was because of pure laziness. She had 4 maids that did everything for her (this was before their financial struggle) so she never needed to lift a finger. Since then my family has been extremely health conscious. I've been underweight my whole life (by a KG or two) and i've always been healthy. Ignorant or not, if i can do it yo can too. That has always been my mentality. I realise that bodies differ, and my metabolism will be faster than other's. But if i can keep my figure, then so can you. Anyway, back on track. After telling my girlfriend this, she told me that she doesn't understand why i would say that. I explained to her that i "fell in love" with who she was, and what she looked like. "I didn't see your personality from across the room, i saw your 'body' " or something like that. I was attracted to her, and still am, and that is what "keeps the spark alive". If she no longer first my criteria of attractive, then why would i stay with her? Why should i punish myself daily, being with someone i don't find attractive, just because? I realize i'm not wording myself very well right now, keep in mind it's 2am and i've had a 10 hour day of studying. Just something that's been on my mind a day or two. Was curious what you guys think of a situation like this.
  9. I don't really understand why you say this. I never played before Skillcapes were released, so i'm not asking just to be difficult, but i'm asking because i genuinely don't understand. The way i see it, it makes for a more goal oriented player. I don't think you can blame an item for a rotten community.
  10. Can't say i'm overly impressed by the look of the 120 Capes. From the lot i think the Slayer and Constitution capes look the best. Hopefully i'll see my HP cape soon then.
  11. Haven't played the first, but from what i've heard it's a slight improvement.
  12. I heard something a long time ago (might have been in the movie Hitch) where they said that more often than not the first kiss is in the middle of a sentence. I'm not saying it's fact, i'm just saying that this something i used to my advantage. To calm myself, i guess. Whenever i found myself really nervous to kiss a girl i would think about it more than i should, and one way to get myself to stop thinking about it is to talk about something random. Halfway through the sentence i would just go for it. She's not going to reject you, and if she does she's not going to be a [bleep] about it. Chances are she's thinking about it more than you are. Anticipating it. All you need is that one "leap" and who knows, she might be doing your waterpipe in the near future.
  13. Quite a few pictures: Split was 33m something. Thought this was kinda cool. Bad cropping too. Should be getting 122m DG tomorrow. EDIT: Nvm i already have 122m didn't even realise. Guess i got that today.
  14. Finally started playing The Witcher 2 again. Kind of realised how good it really is. Previously i didn't get past the first Act because i lost interest, but it's managed to grab me now. Excited to finish it. Might consider getting The Witcher 3 as well.

I recently joined a clan and started PvMing with them a bit, specifically Nex. Since i have Ports armor i offered to tank since i won't be of much use in the DPS department with t80s when a lot of them have t90s. Anyway, i've been using a Shield the entire kill. One of the guys that i usually go with told me it's best to just stick to a shield until i become a bit more familiar with everything, then i can switch to different things when i feel a bit more comfortable. Thus far i've found that i only really need a shield when it comes to Ice and Zaros phase, but more specifically Zaros. Also i've been usign 2 combat styles, Ranged and Mage (mainly Mage). Since i can't really afford any t90 Mage or Range quite yet, i was thinking about switching one of those styles to Melee seeing as i will once again be able to afford Drygores. But my question is if, as a tank, it's a "good" option. I don't really know. I'm just looking for some Tanking advice in general. As it is i think i last for about 5 or 6 kills in a trio, which i'm sure isn't terrible. But i'm sure i could be doing a lot better. So if i was to use Drygores, what would it replace (if it would replace anything), and what are some other useful tips for a tank?

Well the only reason i've been considering this is because back in the US i would have been prescribed it for my ADD. I decided against it mainly because i wanted to fix things on my own, but also because you can't take Adderall/Ritalin while you're flying. But since i'm not flying at the moment (not going to rent a plane @ $400 an hour) and i only have to worry about studying i figured it could work out.

Well i have ~4 months of exams ahead. 14 papers. That's all i really need it for. I was thinking i might be able to get Adderall or Ritalin assuming none of the ingredients are illegal here. That would obviously be a smarter and healthier choice. But my main concern is that i don't want to use something that will affect me later on. I don't want to become dependent on it to get through a normal day. Besides, they aren't really allowed as a pilot anyway. But since i won't be flying for a while, there's no harm in using it.

This afternoon i was Skyping with a school friend of mine. We went to Flight School together in the US, and he told me an interesting story one day. He told me that he had been having a lot of trouble focusing on certain subjects in Uni, so one night, about a week before his exam a friend suggested he take MDMA to help him focus. He told me that he took it, and only about 5 hours later he realised how much time had passed and how much progress he had made. Obviously i understand that it's not going to make you some sort of super-human and increase your brain functionality, but as he explained it, he said it seemed like everything else around him vanished and he was able to maintain his focus for so much longer. I have exams coming up in about 5 weeks. I'm extremely stressed out about it, as i have a long history of anxiety when it comes to exams. And today when we were talking he reminded me of that story again and jokingly said that it might not be a bad option. I'm not really well informed when it comes to drugs, i guess i was never really curious but if it's something that might make things a bit easier for me then i consider it an option. I considered Adderall, but that's not legal here either (for reason i don't know). Anyone here have any experience with short term use of MDMA or use of it specifically for studying?

Ok, but then you go on to say: So which is it? Do you believe that the only two options in that kind of situation are to either do nothing at all or to go batshit crazy and start attacking people? Considering that you just said: ...I'm willing to guess that you know there is a better middle-ground option, but you didn't choose it because you were blinded by your emotions. There's a difference between pulling those two people off him (peacefully resolving the conflict) and pulling those two people off him, and then proceeding to beat the shit out of them (using unnecessary violence to resolve the conflict). Twice must be a ridiculous amount then, lol. Because twice i've posted about me resorting to physical violence. "Twice," in this context, is a lot. For some things, once is too many. I'll give you a short answer: That is your opinion, and you're entitled to it. But i don't have to care about it, which obviously i don't. I've made this clear numerous times, i don't understand why you're too thickheaded to understand that.

I'm not even exaggerating there. I'm well, well beneath the average height for a guy. Same size as Kylie Minogue, for reference. Anyone who's 6'2" or above is a whole foot taller than I am. Ask any bouncer who has to work doors at a nightclub and has to turn people away from the premises. Sure, you need to be big to kick people out, but you don't have to big to confront somebody's behaviour. You need assertiveness. The moment you use your fists, you're no longer being assertive, because you're not respecting the rights of the person you're attacking. I'm not exactly short (i think i'm 6'1") but i'm extremely skinny. Last time i checked i was just under 60kg. Most people even a foot shorter than me would have no trouble picking me up and carrying me around like i'm a blow-up doll, haha.

So you're pissed off at me because your family didn't care enough to stand up for you? That's an extremely rational response. Sorry you got beaten up and no one stood up for you. I can imagine it sucks. But think about it this way, i would have been the one standing up for you. Because in your situation you were the girl being touched while everyone stood around watching. I'm pretty sure you would have been grateful if someone pulled those two off you (and i'm almost certain in that moment you would not have cared how it was done).

Like i said, i call the bouncer, he escorts the guy out, next weekend he's back at the same club doing the same shit. The only way to get him actually thrown out like the scum he is, is to cause a scene. Why is it my problem? Because it is. You're telling me i should just stand there and watch a drunk [bleep] touch other girls? You forget i'm from South Africa where rape is in the news every day, where rape occurs ever 17 minutes. Family members of mine have been raped. And to me, touching a girl without her consent is rape. You really expect me to just stand there and watch some drunk tosser touch other girls? Nah....I care because no one else does. It's my problem because ever other guy is too shit scared or spineless to make it their problem. If you want, Muggi, want to just stand there and watch girls get felt up by some drunk then you're more than welcome to do it. If you want to turn your back on the situation and pretend you didn't see anything because you "don't want to get involved" then by all means do it. I'm just not that guy. You seem to think your only two options are to either stand there and do nothing or beat the shit out of someone. As I already said, and like Ginger said, there are other, better options. Yeah it's not the only option. And i never said it was. You came up with that conclusion all by yourself. That night i took my frustration out in a violent manner because i had already been irritated by the first event. Like i mentioned, i'm usually one to avoid any sort of physical violence because i don't think it's the proper way to handle things, but i still maintain that in some situations it's the only way to handle things. Obviously you have every right to disagree, as i know you will, because that's just what you do. But i can't count on two fingers the amount of times i had to resort to using my fists purely because the guy was twice my size and i knew i would have a hard time wrestling him to the ground. And because at that moment i really just wanted to hit someone, most likely.
