Today...
My girlfriend's mother just got informed that she won a raffle for a Mercedes C-Class. Most of the bigger supermarkets here have a raffle ever few months where they give away 1 - 3 cars. Usually it's something like a Mercedes, Land Cruiser or GMC Sierra. All you have to do is spend 50QR or more. For each 50QR you get one entry. She had 3 raffle tickets, and i told her chanced are she would never win because of lot of these competitions are rigged. Few minutes ago she phoned me, in tears. She just won a Mercedes worth around 200k QR (I think). Which is more than she would earn in 4 years of working. I am super excited for her, as she has not had it easy for the past 4 years with her husband not working. I found it funny that her husband actually wanted to keep the car. Typical of him, since he has a license and she doesn't. Cares more about what he drives than providing for his family. Not sure where he would even get money for gas since HE HAS NO [bleep]ING JOB. Typical of him. Anyway, i'm so happy for her. Hopefully she invests the money instead of doing something stupid with it. On a different note, my grandmother is coming to visit tomorrow, for three weeks. She was born and raised in Apartheid, so it's going to be very interesting introducing my Pakistani girlfriend to her. Very interesting indeed.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
BO2 was amazing. Loved watching gameplays on youtube. LOVED watching competitive CoD too. And i played often as well. i think i have like 700 or 800 hours logged on BO2 which is more than triple all my other CoD's combined (if not more). The gameplay was very fluent, very fast paced, and very exciting. I've only played a bit of Ghosts in the start, and just couldn't find the same excitement. I love running assault streaks, and the assault streaks on Ghosts was a terrible let down. The fact that you died so fast also took away a lot from the game. There was nothing better than turning on someone in BO2, in Ghosts doing this was extremely hard. This just gave lesser skilled players the chance to do better, which i found very annoying. Competitive also suffered a bit, in my opinion. With the removal of Hardpoint and CtF and the addition of Dom and Blitz, it's become very dull. Still entertaining at times, but not nearly as much as BO2. I believe Titanfall will suffer the same fate as any CoD, as the majority of it's players will be (ex)CoD players. Cheap tactics will be exploited, and soon it will become another game to whine and complain about. The only way to "fix" the current situation of these kinds of FPS games is to make a CoD actually worth buying, playing, and watching. Something in line with BO2 without all the BS. 3arc was on the right track, their only problem was their inability to listen to their community. Stop trying to make things easy for bad players.

10-March-2014 - One of a Kind
Was wondering the same thing. But it's always the same people crying about it so why even be surprised, lol? "Upgrading Slayer helmets now costs significantly less if the player has upgraded a helmet before" Yay. Wonder how much less, nonetheless excited about it. Need that damn place holder. :P Someone said 10% of the price?

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
I'm actually not surprised. Ghosts is the first game since MW2 that i didn't bother buying, and i doubt i'd buy another IW game again. Even though 3arc has their issues, i feel like they still make a far better game. Ghosts was a big disaster, in my opinion. I doubt Titanfall will be the "CoD killer" as many put it, though.

Today...
Thursday night me and my girlfriend won VIP tickets to an Edward Maya show. It was pretty cool, kinda. We got a table right by the stage, got to meet Edward Maya, had a drink with him, etc. After he performed he invited us to an "afterparty" at a club. We thought this was pretty cool so we went. When we got there things changed really fast. He got a bit drunk, actually started hitting on my girlfriend with me sitting right there. She shot him down, and it was hilarious. I just sat there and enjoyed the show. There was a minute of awkward silence after that. Then i decided to kick a dog while he's down, and told him the show wasn't really as good as i expected. Asked him why he was lip-syncing, and told him that if it wasn't for the fact that we got our tickets for free i would have asked for a refund. His guitarist actually found this hilarious. Me and my girlfriend decided to leave before we were asked. Gotta leave with some pride. Edward Maya was a total dick, lmao.

Buying Exp.
I have ~175m i wish to spend on a skill, wisely. I'm not too fussed which skill, but i want to get the most bang for my buck. From a quick calculation i could get 6.5m ish Prayer or 10m Con. And that's about as far as my calculations went. From what i've heard, Crafting is stupidly expensive now, so that's kind of out of the question. Herblore is probably not a good idea either. I'm not sure what kind of exp rates or gp/exp Fletching, Cooking or Smithing is, but i figured one of those might be one of my better options. I don't mind burning the entire 175m, as long as i get something decent in return. Something that would actually make a dent in the 225m i still need for 1b total.

High Exp/h Ranged training.
Well if i stick to Glacors for another 10m Exp or so, i should be able to afford a MH Asc Bow for now. I'm about 100m Buying one right now. Making 100m in 10m exp might be a bit hopeful but i do some herb runs now and then which bring in a bit of extra income. Assuming i decide to go with Airut, what should i be picking up, and what should i not bother with? I assume Rune Drops are picked up along with any Scales and Gloves, then leave the rest?

High Exp/h Ranged training.
2 Part Question: I'm closing in on 50m Mage exp, and my goal is to get 100m. I'm doing this at Glacors, and i thought to keep myself from "burning out" i'll switch it up between Mage and Ranged every 10m Exp or so. Problem is, i have no clue where to get Ranged exp. I would prefer if i could get it at some sort of boss or miniboss. Something that offers ~200k exp/h+ with chance of high profit (or at least around 2m/h). I haven't been to Frost Dragons since EoC, so i don't know if those are even a good option. I know Ascension Dungeon might be a decent option, but again, i am not sure. I've got Death Lotus, Pernix Boots and Gloves and i plan on getting Archer (i) for the extra bit of Crit. I'm limited to Chaotic Crossbows, Royal Crossbow and Death Lotus Darts. Since i only have about 200 of each, i would prefer not to do something involving momentum (in fact, i would prefer fully manual). My knowledge on Ports is extremely limited. Thus far i've just been sending out voyages blindly, not really bothering about the result as i already have all the armours unlocked and crafted. Assuming Death Lotus darts would be my best option for training, what would i need to do to maximize Ancient Bones voyages. Thanks in advance.

Diablo III
From what i have heard/read, there's no news on this patch coming out for Xbox/PS, but apparently a lot of the things this patch fixed was already in the console version.

Zero Loss AFK combat?
Friend of mine recently got his Max Cape and is looking to get 20m in each CB skill. He asked me for advice but i couldn't really offer any. He's looking for something to "afk" while not losing money, or making enough to cover the cost of supplies/repair costs on armor and weapons. The only thing i can think of would be Slayer, but I know he's not too keen on that. What would other option be?

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
What this thread is doing is teaching your people how to run away from their problems and not deal with it head on like an adult. So what if you are in an unhealthy relationship and you need advice about it. So-[bleep]ing-what? You know what i say, don't break up with her. Sit down with her and talk about it. Found out why things are going bad. Save yourself from making the same mistake, with different girls, every time you enter a relationship. That is the one thing i have always disliked about this thread. You all want to come across as logical, rational, mature thinkers. But not many of you act like it. Ginger, although sometimes hostile, seems to be the only one that does this. Please, just stop with your "break up with her" bullshit, because you're not doing anyone a favor. All you're doing is prolonging the existing problem, which WILL cause more "drama" (as people here so LOVE to call it) for this person in the future. What people here need to realize is that we're not all [wagon], nor do we want to be. We're not all cut out to [bleep] a 100 different girls. Some of us want to stick to one girl, some of us prefer it, some of us find it much simpler. And i don't care about your articles, research, and graphs trying to prove me wrong. Because i'm not a statistic. I'm an actual person, with actual thoughts and ideas, and i don't need a paper telling me what i SHOULD be doing or how i SHOULD be reacting just because most other guys out there do that. People differ in their beliefs, their morals, and their upbringing. Breaking up should never just be a "reasonable option", it should be the last option. Face the [bleep]ing problem, don't be an ostrich. And don't encourage people to be one either. You're not doing anyone any favors. /End rant.

Old School RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds!
If you're talking about the idiot who alched his SGS at Abyssal Demons ~3 years ago, that would be me. I know you did, but I think Acid Bubble made a post on the RSOF about how he alched his SGS too :P Oh god it's contagious.

Cleaning my Fan.
I have an HP ENVY m4. Thus far it's been really great, apart from one very common problem with HP Laptops - the cooling is trash. I live in the middle east, so there's a lot of dust by default. This doesn't exactly help my cause. Quite recently my Laptop started overheating every now and then, especially when i run RS and watch a movie at the same time, or even just browse YT. This never used to happen before. I've had this laptop for probably a 18 months now and it's not been cleaned yet. I tried opening it the other day, but i couldn't. I don't know if i was missing any screws, but i doubt i was. I made sure to look everywhere, inspected for about 10 minutes before giving up. I tried browsing the internet to see if there was a tutorial anywhere, but found no match. Only found matches to laptops similar, but even they didn't really offer much help. I was wondering if anyone here has an ENVY m4, or knows how to open it? And might be able to talk me through the process of opening, and then cleaning the fan?

Glacor help.
I tried Full Virtus including Book and Wand, and shockingly it only rasied my kph by like 3 or 4, and that was when i was going hard. I realised where my mistakes are though, and that's at luring. I spend too much time killing Enduring, meaning Unstable almost always explodes while im working on Sapping. So i need to get used to the luring and things should go a bit better.

You're missing the point. This is not just one person. Quite a few in the HLF community want not only capes but also levels. So it's indicative of a certain attitude. Secondly, it's in the view of some (including mine), the next part of the slippery slope. Let's say we have the 120 Cape polls, and it passes and they are added to the game. Then what? Will the efficiency crowd go away? Likely not. They will probably come back demanding that we give them levels and content to reward them for their effort. For people who don't like that sort of stuff, eventually we will be forced to train levels past 99 to unlock content. And what amount of players currently hold level 120 in every skill? Extremely small amount compared to players that are maxed. So only a very small amount of players will be able to actually use this new content. Also, the exp gap and actual "difficulty" of reaching 1 - 99 vs. 99 - 120 is huge. The difference in time/effort investment in a bit out of proportion, in my opinion.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
So you wouldn't talk to her about it? You wouldn't as her why she's developed this habit? Or tell her you're unhappy about it? You would just pack up and leave? Again, like i said, that's a bit drastic. Back in 2010 a close friend of mine started experimenting with drugs. Not just weed, but coke, pills, and just about everything apart from Meth and H. I told him one day that he's ruining himself and that i don't approve of his "choice of lifestyle". Not that i felt my approval is something he needed, but from one friend to another i felt like i had the right to say this. He started telling me why he was using drugs, and me and his family helped him through this. 2 years later he told me that had i not confronted him about this, he would have probably ended up ODing in his apartment. I don't want any form of praise for this, i'm simply saying this because usually there's a reason people resort to drugs. And if you're able to just turn your back on someone "and not think twice about it" then the real question is - Why were you in this relationship in the first place?

Future Update Discussions
Whenever the Efficiency vs. Inefficiency debate comes up this is what i see: Efficient player: I'm too elitist to admit that at some point during my RS "career" i too was inefficient. But now that i have learned to play efficient it is my duty to be a dick and ridicule anyone that doesn't gain xp/h to my satisfaction. Inefficient player: I'm to causal and/or lazy to grind out exp, and/or click more than once ever 5 minutes. I'd rather take thing slow, very slow, and let the exp come when it wants to come. I'm in no rush, and i don't wish to be rushed either. I prefer enjoying myself. I'm not saying either party is correct or incorrect. I fall in the middle. Some things i like to do as efficient as i can, some things i don't. I have an account with 2000+ total @150k xp/h. It was fun while it lasted, but i'm not willing to put in the dedication needed to maintain that sort of efficiency. I do find though, more often that not, the "efficient" players are those who will tell you you're bad for playing the game the wrong way. This is exactly the reason why a clan like DGS had such an utterly disgusting reputation when they first started. It was because of elitist players who automatically assumed you were terrible at something just because you didn't do it the most efficient way possible. I'm all for having fun. if you want to be like Dragonseance (i think it was him) and make a 30 minute Youtube video in your college classroom about how auras work, then go for it. If that is how you have your fun, then go for it. I'm not going to call you sad, pathetic, lame, nolifer, virgin, bad, casual, etc. etc. If that is how you have your fun, then i am extremely happy that you managed to take a game and turn it into something so passionate. I gives me some hope in our generation, that people are wiling to put in so much work for something they enjoy. Even if it's just a game. But if you want to be like Green098 (or whatever the name was), and use Fire Surge on Abyssal Demons (pre-eoc) and sit there for 10 minutes while you kill 1 Demon, maybe gain 10k exp/h then go for it. If that is what you find fun, then again, i'm all for it. People need to get over themselves, and grow the [bleep] up. If someone's playstyle bothers you, then keep it to yourself. Their inefficiency is in no way affecting your gaming experience, and if it is (DG) then you're more than welcome to do your activities elsewhere or with someone else that has a similar playstyle to yours. Obviously this entire post was a bit irrelevant and off topic, but i was just reminded of this when i saw the previous few posts.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
I have The Witcher 2 and i kind of feel the same way. It's a really good game. Story line seems good, combat is good. No real complaints except the fact that it doesn't really manage to grab my interest like other games (Dark Souls, Skyrim, etc.) I've got probably about 10 hours of play time on it in the year i've owned it. Every hour i played i enjoyed, but i seem to get bored of it so fast.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Breaking up is a bit drastic, haha. Talk about causing unnecessary drama. I mean, if we was smoking ever day, walking around telling everyone, and doing it in public...it would be a different matter. She knows how to be discrete about it. It's just her friends that don't. They usually buy the stuff, and they have no issue buying it from dodgy people. That's kind of what bothers me. One of her friends though, is really paranoid and she is extremely cautious about it. So that, to some degree, puts my mind slightly at ease. But yeah, i'm happy to know that i didn't over react. She also apologized for her "reaction" to what i told her. Told me that i had every right to feel the way i did, etc. She said she'll see what she can do about the smoking. Truth be told, she's only smoked 2 or 3 times since New Years. It used to be a lot more before then, cause like i mentioned, i smoked with her now and then. Anyway, on a different note...it finally happened. I was at her house this afternoon and her dad walking in on us. So much awkward.
