Since money isn't an issue, probably whatever ends up being the most tedious thing you need to collect for xp. Maybe stock herbs if possible? Summoning could be a good fallback since whether ironman or not, you need to gather your own and methods for doing so are well documented :P.

For Warbands the general tactic is just to join an FC and safety in numbers. They have the gear requirements they expect you to conform to clearly written on their introductory post of their forum thread or what have you. Unless you want to go try and pk warband looters and generally really piss people off.. :P. As for Castle Wars...better answered by someone else ;).

They did say they would be removing names on accounts that have not logged in for 6 months, or 2 years if the account has never been a member. My guess is that they will save them up and do another event like this in 6 months, a year, whenever.
