  1. Green? It's not green on my display...ow crappy. I hate overly green monitors, so I calibrated mine perhaps a lil too "not green". Going to fix it later. Yeh, now that you said the chin looks a bit cut off. Gotta work on it too. The ear, however, is the way my ear looks. I don't know what the word is in English, but I have ears that are tilted outwards a bit more than normally. I think the only problems with it are that it's placed too high and that it has a little too much detail compared to simplistic face.
  2. I made this image for my big brother's weblog. The blog's name is "pÃÆÃâÃâäÃÆÃâÃâä auki" which in Enlish means something like "open head". It's a pun and one that can't be translated nor easily explained. Anyway. He wanted me to design a banner for it. Containing a person with an open head. Trivial. The banner isn't done yet, but the head is. Before some smart [wagon] *cough* keiph *cough* comes and says it's not a real vector I'll say it myself. It's done in full with the pencil tool in PS but not using vectormasks etc. (the shading is done with filled paths) and the veins in brains are made with stroked pencil paths. Not other tools though. Now for the official part. "I was pretty bored so I thought I'd give vector a go and please remember it's my first try ever. Rate 0/10!!". For real, give a comment. I know the shading isn't done per any real light source, it's done purely based on feeling. Oh...It is not traced!! It's mainly based on a mirror I have next to my computer (so it looks a bit like me!!) New fixed version on the right. Chin, left side forehead. hmm.. I first made the skin tone much darker, so the highlights were much more recognisable. Fixing them later.
  3. It's pretty ok. Surely a bit plain. That crack about TJ is a lil out of the line.. :?
  4. Both of the sigs have very ordinary backgrounds. The movie is easy to insert into the signature, though planting it inside the visor is a nice touch. Putting it inside the helmet isn't too complicated and if it wasn't his own idea...pff..nothing new. Anyway. They have a pretty professional type of feeling to them. Or at least the latter on has (thanks to the better quality picture). The zelda is way worse and has absolutely nothing new. PS Glad we have the 30 kB limit. Would be pain to load a page with 15 messages with 15 sigs like those.
  5. GReat! Didn't notice. So sorry. Slap me with a PM when you can collect the cash.
  6. Here's mine.. a lil rushed and empty, but serves the purpose.
  7. My point exactly Keiphus. There's nothing I hate more than dithering.. Hideo.. He has no obligation to put your piece anywhere...lol.
  8. I'd say that the brushed version is rushed. You could make a nice dragon using that line art (though drawn with a reference).
  9. not to be rude in anyway, but Cameron, I reserved spot 4 in early page six and your request came few pages later. In short, Get out of my spot!! And as I see, there aren't any more pieces, so I really want it... PS why are you making the pieces .gif? Are you planning to make the final product .gif too? IMO it will look horrible after sqeezing 50 images into 256 colors. We all get about 5 colour per each of our images!! (yeh, I know we can "borrow" but still). Just use .png or 100% .jpg (to get the puzzle piece lines right). Will be a pain to load, not a pain to watch.
  10. I'll seize the chance and take the spot number 4.
  11. please reserve a random spot for me (if there is any left). I'll be making it tomorrow.
  12. There are a few issues bothering me. (these are only to fine tune...it's great). First of all, the border is bad. The corner ornaments...naah. The right arm of the orc/giant whateva is too "crispy" and saturated (looks as if burned in PS [yeh, I know it isn't]). The granite shield (i suppose, no p2p here) looks like a body armor of the monster and thus makes his body look distorted. Not enough depth in it to make it clearly stand out as a shield. The sig is overall too flat. The teeth lined up in perfect row and the orc has no shadow cast from the person infront. I yern more shadow. Good to see you back!
  13. I doupt you will get even 10 cabbages...they take time to pick, ya know.
  14. In that .psd the explosion is a flat background.... It's copied from somewhere. :?
  15. Perhaps the key is to avoid the "must-haves". Try something new and fresh.
  16. actually, no I don't. I use IRC. Can't you upload it and send a link?
  17. Yeh, please do post a link to the .psd file. Would be great in clearing/proving my suspicion. Jpg is good...but for the love of god, try a higher file size/less pack.
  18. Anyone unwise enough to use the starbrush that comes with PS couldn't do the flame part. I'm pretty sure you have ripped it. Why in heck did you save it in 50% (about) quality jpg anyway? :?
  19. I hope that comment is sarcasm...or you sir are an idiot. and to comment to your pleasing.. no, I don't like it (whatever good that does to you is beyond me)
  20. Well, what about opacity brushes? Say, one pixel block brush with 10% flow. I used that cheat on my one and only pixel char. Uncool?
  21. Was sleeping the last 13 hours. Great entry Froth. You won hands down. (thanks for the cash!!).
  22. mother so nailed the helmet. Nice job!
  23. Nothing personal, but I am happy that tip.it forums have been spared from the signatures like that. All the others are filled with those generic image + custon brushes + color layer signatures. Sorry, not to my liking.

Yeh, I ment it was slightly off. Just a teeny bit. Smooth, yet a bit ordinary.
