  1. The thread is aimed at discussing the topic, as well as suggesting monsters - as Jagex are wanting ideas for upcoming high level slayer content. I figure a combination of both discussion and ideas would be exactly what Jagex wants ^_^ There's a few common things I'm noticing from all the feedback - possibly untradeable slayer drops and task-only monsters like the strykewyrms, it's interesting discussion :) and keep up the suggestions for Jagex Edit: another idea I had a while back
  2. Nice ideas everyone, keep them coming :-P
  3. Awesome ideas Green, boss monster tasks would be awesome!
  4. Nope :) the stickied Jagex thread was created 15-Feb-2011 18:32:11, so it is recent fairly recent :P thanks for the comments so far guys! Edit: fairly recent ;)
  5. To get this thing rolling, here is what I would like to see as a future update to high level Slayer content: Creature's name: Abyssal Queen Combat Level: Around 450-650? Slayer Level requirement: 99 (Would prefer level 99, but level 95 or 97 would be appropriate too) Unique Drop/s: Abyssal whip, Harbinger hounskull (helmet), Harbinger plackart (platebody), Harbinger cuisse (legs), Harbinger gauntlets (gloves), Harbinger sabatons (boots), Abyssal queen head. Location: Inside a lair, found by crawling through a fissure, south of the 'ALR' Abyssal plane Items Required to Slay: None New Item Design: Harbinger armour I imagine would be dark and spikey in appearance. I would like it to be alien/spider-like. Monster's appearance: The head would have the same features of the current abyssal demon (eyes, mouth, colour etc.), but the shape of its head would be that of the alien from the alien vs. predator movie trilogy - elongated and extremely intimidating. Her body would have the structure and look of an ant/spider, only the back would be much, MUCH larger, sort of like the red back spider. Her legs would be beetle-like, almost like what the Kalphite Queen's legs used to look like before her graphic update. Scenario: At half health there would be a cutscene of her calling upon her 3 Abyssal minions. These would be the Abyssal Myriad, Abyssal Legion, and Abyssal Sentinel. These creatures would detach themselves from the Abyssal Queen's shell on her back (sort of like in 'the mummy' movie where the skeletons come to life from off the walls) and would immediately become aggressive towards the nearby player/s. These Abyssal minions would need to be killed before attacking the Queen again. Should any player attack the queen while the minions are still alive, she will heal with each attack placed upon her.
  6. High level Slayer content. It has been a long time coming... but now you can make a difference! Here is a quote taken from the Runescape forums confirming new slayer monsters, possibly a new slayer master, and filling in the high level gaps. QFC: 74-75-748-62471247 So I ask you tipit'ers. Are you prepared? What would you like to see for high level Slayer content? Feel free to discuss this future update. Also, I have provided a template below if you would like to suggest a new slayer monster - who knows, Jagex might read this thread and consider them? :) Let's get discussing! [hide] [/hide]
  7. Ok thanks :-) I sold them on the G.E.
  8. Anyone have any ideas as to what is up with the whip prices and when they will rise to a decent price to sell? I was fortunate enough to get 2 whips today but i'm not sure whether to sell them now or hold onto them. 1.4m seems a bit too cheap for a whip :-(
  9. I want torva plate, but can only afford virtus mask apparently :o 150m :o
  10. Zamorak/Saradomin arrows count as god items in the God Wars Dungeon
  11. The purple elemental gloves and white claws look almost virtus-like
  12. Stole my outfit idea for my own prayer outfit, except I hadn't decided on legs and I'm going to use the 5feather Gold Chompy hat. Bronze legs look real nice though, don't mind if I steal them do you? Great minds think alike :-) and I don't mind at all - fashion is for everyone! :-P Came up with an assassin outfit afterwards:
  13. As well as the ring of wealth, a little discussion was going on in the Runescape forums and it got me wondering about the ring of stone as well. In the RS manual it says Future update for the ring of stone too perhaps? Apparently we haven't found out its other magical abilities after all these years. Same with the 120 dungeoneering cape and the hidden door or whatever it is related to :-)
  14. Epic outfit is epic Partyhat borrowed of course - wish I was that rich <_<
  15. Sounds fishy to me. I stay away from all types of betting games in Runescape. They are just like trust trades, and most of them are scams - but are (unfortunately) only reportable if you don't receive what you were supposed to be given.
  16. [hide] [/hide] Thanks for being the first to post what a Torva Platebody looks like on the floor :o I see lots of Nex drops on here, but they usually only have the green text, so it's nice to see the actual drop in a screenshot! ^_^ That is one smexy platebody *drools* Edit + unspam: finished weekly penguin hunting and while trying to find the desert penguin, I found myself running on the magic carpet XD funnily enough everyone was running on the carpet rides too! Talk about a multiple workout. It made me laugh in real life
  17. Thanks :-P It depends on what colours the cape needs really (greens and its shades are very easy, but browns, blacks and whites are very hard). On average, at least an hour per cape (getting HD icon images, adjusting icon size etc. but most of the time goes towards changing the colours without making it look unrealistic or psychodallic). The master defence cape took about 2 and a half hours because trying to colour the trim white/cream without losing the black behind it was a nightmare, and the type of blue was difficult to obtain. It doesn't sound like very long, but when you factor in each little thing, they take quite a while. I'm still not happy with a few of them but I'll have to focus on getting them all done first. I've been trying to get as many capes done as possible in real life, so in the end, it will only have taken me roughly 3 weeks to get them all done, rather than the 2 month prediction I had :)
  18. 2/3/11 - Master defence cape done. Still to go: Magic Woodcutting Crafting Hunter
  19. Dat collection Long term investment  If it turns pear shaped, I can't lose much money anyway, because they high alch for 36k each The runes are just prep for this weeks penguin hunting (for teleports) :-P
  20. I hope they improve the chances of ancient effigies <3:
  21. As I skim read, all I saw was blah blah blah new quest blah blah and then I saw Ring of Wealth Update Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg I will now actually read the rest of the behind the scenes, while trying to contain my excitement XD Edit: Read it all now. Is it just me or does the Artisan's workshop sound a bit 'meh' for the much awaited smithing update? I think the ring of wealth update will be all I'm looking forward to this month unfortunately. The bonus xp weekend, well, it's nice, but everything is pretty much bought up now, which only leaves me to train thieving or continue slayer+attack training.
  22. Not the slightest. I have never been hacked in all 9 years of playing because I have a secure account.
  23. Can't Escape the Present: I think those years were technically the best because there were higher quality updates which weren't nerfed. Examples: Barrows + Slayer etc. etc. there haven't been many updates I have liked these last couple years (catapult in castle wars + climbing boots update etc.). Having said that, there have been some amazing updates like ancient effigies, extreme potions, Nex and the dragon defender - which are and always will be, awesomesauce. More of those high quality updates are needed. I do feel there has been a lack of updates this last year though, with more gaps in each month than usual. Whether this was because the main focus was on the wilderness/free trade update or something bigger like Stellar Dawn, we will never know. My only hope is that Runescape keeps running, because it seems they are trying to keep as many players in game as possible right now (banned account reinstatement, wildy/free trade and the profanity filter update, just to name a few examples). I hope it isn't going downhill, because I plan on playing for many more years.
  24. Eek. I guess I'll have to wait for a guide on the puzzles - I just can't do them. Now to something completely unrelated - I was intrigued the other day with the incomprehensible machinery in the Pollivneach slayer dungeon (where the abberant spectres are). I wonder what it will be used for one day - if anything. Also the portal-looking thing looks like a bandos symbol in my opinion - could just be coincidence though.
  25. Summoning + Fishing capes done
