  1. Some DJ Shadow. :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY-eyZuW_Uk&feature=related
  2. Read up on my previous posts. My argument is that nonconsensual, non essential medical practices are an ethically slippery slope; quite apart from the separate argument that I feel religious parents have no right to force their crackpot beliefs and on malleable, uninformed children's minds. Also, nice ad hominem there bro. [satire]I'm sorry I'm not brainwashed and lacking in intellectual integrity.[/satire] Nowait, I mean [troll]. Yeah, keep it clean. :shame:
  3. Feel free to get circumcised - I'm certainly stopping you. What I am supporting stopping is the human rights violation of nonconsensual medical practices. [1][2] If getting circumcised is such an essential and core aspect of your religious belief, surely there's no issue getting it done as of when you reach the age of consent and majority?
  4. [hide] I disagree; they are very much so related. They are both in your category of violation of human rights, yet one of them is taking a life by itself and you don't seem to mind it. Your statement about me wanting to perform circumcision before birth was either a troll post or simply stupid. I do not consider a fetus to be alive until about 6 months. Therefore, it is not taking a life. That was a troll post, but you did answer it with what I wanted. You said YOU don't consider it a life, but there are many, many other people do. You are putting your opinion again before others. Second of all Wait, no. Unless it's denying women legal access to abortions. Except that people are trying to make abortion illegal, like you are saying circumcisions should be. They are both affecting people who are way too young to consent. You seem to be fine with abortions, so what makes circumcisions so different? [/hide] You're not getting it. Unborn babies are not people and as such, whatever rights they have are unimportant compared to those of us living right now. So yes, I'm against uniformed, nonconsensual and unnecessary medical practices on human infants. However, I weigh the rights of a living, realised human mother as above and beyond anything a fetus may incidentally have.
  5. Wait, no. Unless it's denying women legal access to abortions.
  6. Frankly, I'm thinking all newborn children should have frenum ladders - it's non permanent, enhances pleasurable sensation and is a very simple procedure. Also, it a core component of my belief system.
  7. I'm not arguing that it's harmful, I'm arguing that allowing non essential medical practices on individuals unable to give consent is a slippery slope, ethically. It's also hypocritical that body modification at ages under 16/18 are restricted, despite the recipients desire to have them performed, while circumcision is not. Y_Guy, I'd be happy to have a chat about this with you over PM; but you more than the average poster should know better than to go off topic.
  8. Have to say my respect for you just dropped there. Ridiculous statement. Haircutting/nail clipping/hair dying is non permanent, so irrelevant to the purpose this discussion, nor are they medical procedures. Piercing and tattooing individuals without their consent is also considered illegal.[1][2] As a baby you are utterly unable to give the informed consent that say, a 10 or 13 year who desired piercings is able to give (not to mention that male circumcision is rather more permanent and the prohibition on less permanent modifications (e.g. tattoos) to those over the age of 18). With regards to the abortion argument, I don't see how that's relevant, as I don't consider a fetus to have the same rights or even be comparable to a newly born baby.
  9. However, there is an enormous difference between general duty of care influental acts (like what school your child goes to, what their name is) and unnecessary medical procedures and/or body mutilation. Don't be straw manning on me.
  10. It's not violation of individual's right to practice their religion, it's a courageous affirmation of a vulnerable individual's right to body sovereignty and the right to refuse medical treatment and procedures.
  11. I voted Yes, because the concept of humans as commodities devalues all of us. Just because something was perhaps an economic necessity does not make it morally right. Also, the amateur moral relativism is making me giggle. I could talk about modern day wage slavery, but that's something slightly different.

    Bathing

Frankly, showering too much is bad for your skin. Missing a day here and there is fine, but I wouldn't want to go longer than two days without a shower, especially if I'm doing anything physically strenuous.
  13. Fair enough. But you're right, the under the eye socket is quite unusual, normally an anti eyebrow is much farther up the face, and runs the other way (downwards towards the side of the face). I'm partial to it as I feel it accentuates the planes of my face, which probably isn't so noticeable due to the lighting. The eyebrow piercing is also a little further in than a singular on tends to be.
  14. Oh, any particular reason? I'm rather fond of them, myself. :P
  15. Me, with some horrible lighting promoting the appearance of a less attractive, more metallic Edward Cullen. Also, I do not have the side of my head shaved, so no idea what the hair fiasco is about.
  16. Oh, yes! Piercings also, but on guys.
  17. Via nicotine, caffeine and alcohol, mostly. Getting a good nights sleep and having a work out also help.
  18. Fix'd - at least in terms of raw numbers.
  19. After some minor modification and consultation, here's the tattoo I got as of Wednesday. \:D/
  20. You mean, 'a rise' rather?
  21. I was reading that Cold War gave a random amount of Attack XP if one recoiled the Ice Fiend (between 40 & 100). Can anyone confirm if this is truly random, or based on one's Attack level? I'd really like to get the Penguin Points/QP, but would rather not get level 2 Attack on my Skiller. :ohnoes: Thanks in advance.
  22. When the attack bonus difference is large, I think - fx, Chaotic Maul at Waterfiends.
  23. My only other advice would be 80 Attack & a Chaotic (Preferably a rapier, to take advantage of the mithril defender/access to Ardy Cape 2).
  24. :-w Probably not the best to ask questions if you're not going to like the answers.
