It has always existed, at least as long as RS2 has. in RSC who knows since no-one ever got far enough to find a limit (to my knowledge)

I must admit my wording was a bit off in that post, after all 10k amounts to like 75-ish per world, but still though bots are certainly a problem you only seem to see little clusters in certain places of no more than 10 or so for most worlds - so I dunno to me it just does not seem to insane numbers like 10k online at a time that some people produce are quite feasible.

I often find peoples estimations of bots excessive - I mean on an average world you see like 12 or so at sorceress, grots, greens and frosts. Even allowing say 100 more per world on average tucked away in less notable places and your not talking more than 3k or so online at a time.

Interestingly as well the initial surge of interest in playing seems to of waned too: http://www.misplaceditems.com/2007online.php Since the figures dropped from 100k+ (and the lines have changed entirely) to 60k ish for live I am assuming misplaced as tweaked so tht live figure line is showing the front page total lest 07 total. But even so it seems the initial peaking around yesterday night where they were nearly 50:50 as ended and we have slipped back to around 60:40 in favour of live.

But isn't that why they wrote out an apology instead of just a belated delay notice? Considering the quality of communication they had in the past, I didn't expect even that. Disgruntlement at having to wait & being ignored, I totally get, but this is better than what they usually do. I wouldn't say it's better at all - it's the same old reactionary posting to try and quell disgruntled users causing bad pr coming later than they ought to of addressed it as per usual. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get a post at all if it wasn't for the fact the angry users were marring the 'success' story good pr for 07scape.

The trouble with giving any reason at all at this stage is that it won't be seen as genuine. If on friday prior to the video or in the video intro they had of said WHY it was delayed something other than 07scape might be disbelieved by some sceptics but most people would accept it. The entire glossing over it until forced to say something to quell the rage means even if they did say it was delayed due to bugs or w/e that most by this point would think 'yeah right they are just trying to give the reason that we won't be mad at'

The extra-cool surprise sounds to me like "quick get Ana etc. to make another slightly bigger teaser to try and calm down all the pr-fail rage at this being delayed due to 07scape" But at the same time can't complain that we get SOMETHING to look forward to at least.

It's possible but they've also never done it, if an update is postponed the BTS has always been postponed too and we have confirmation that TWW has been delayed and in Jagex lingo 'delayed' means 1 of 3 things depending on context: 1) An update known to be somewhere in dev - delayed means its probably been set back by several months. 2) An update in the BTS article - delayed means its been pushed bk a week. 3) An update that the BTS vid aired for and posts on forums give us info - delayed is given a context to either be few hours later than the eta give previously or delayed until tomorrow etc. Given that it falls into context two and the Mod Sowerely(dp?) confirmation of delayed specifically says 'It gives Mod Anna another week to polish it' its safe to say its next week.

Basically everything other than f2p being free that was on 750k got taken down to 500k tier, I think several bits of 500k got brought down to 250k as well.

Doubles are only the resource voyages you can get from day 1 Stories jump straight to triple so with your setup you can only get Missionary, Convict, Botanist triple - which can shown up when any 2 of them are in the port.

Given usual update schedule Tuesday 5th or Wednesday 6th is more likely.

Aren't most quests (other than the newb quest remakes) the same now as 07 anyway? Jagex didn't really give the old bosses fancy EoC upgrades and aside from the odd teleport and toolbelt tweak must quests are the same as ever.

This smells fishy to me: 'I quit runescape shortly before EoC came out' - aka like 4-5 months ago 'Haven't been online for close to a year' - So you quit 4 months ago but haven't been on for a year?

The bts video for it isn't out til friday, it's not coming this week.

Which woulda been last week since money-grabscape aside they just did a tiny update for some week-before launch quest teasers.

What exactly do you think the word "additional" means? Are you purposely feigning ignorance? Are you purposely feigning stupidity? I just said, since its a members only poll they could be assuming the people interested are already members and saying it will be an additional $5. That's how I read it. Yes an additional fee to normal membership - ergo both the base normal membership is required and the additional fee. Regardless of someones membership status it cannot be an additional fee if they are not paying a fee in the first place, that is what additional means. Just like you cannot have additional sky TV packages without sky tv in the first place.

Admittedly they haven't outright said 07 will require normal members, but it is rather implicit when the info on cost says 'additional $x' for the 2 lower ones and 'included in your normal members' for the 'free' tier. It can't be an additional fee if there is not a base fee in the first place.

Probably higher than EOC playing figures. not likely considering its currently free and new content and is still significantly lower. (40k vs either 56k or 96k (not sure if homepage numbers include 07scape numbers)) Members vs members Measuring members vs members wouldn't do 07scape any favour seeing as (how it currently stands) 07scape would be an additional fee on top of members or if it breaches 500k will cost members. Therefore the number of 07scapers can never exceed the number of members, only equal it at best.

A few thousand to me sounds more like less than 10k votes, but I guess we'll see in the coming days. Anyone who thinks it won't hit 500k is kidding themselves. Jagex has a little script running that randomly adds votes based on how close it is to 500k. Will be some "epic" momment in the final minutes where it ticks over. Between dragging down the 750k stuff (bar free f2p) to 500k and the progressive shitstorm of pr to boost votes it is pretty clearly they do deffo want the 500k to happen and will pull anything out to make it happen. I fully expect SOMETHING in the next day or 2 to try and make another bump in the votes and/or votes will suddenly start going up much faster for no explicable reason from rigging.

You have to consider accessibility as well though. Eye of Glouphrie gives 250xp but requires level 5 Fremmy Isles gives 5k but reqs level 20 Great Brain Robbery gives 2k but requires level 30 Darkness of Hallowvale 2k for level 5 Cold war 1.5k for level 34 Tower of life 1k for level 10 And that is all the quests in 07 scape that give Con xp, so its a mute issue as you cannot do any of the quests without 5+ Construction.

In a clever PR stunt Jagex released free early access servers to anyone who has voted; thereby causing the 'not going to vote as not that interested but might check it out if it's free' camp to become the 'I'll go vote cause I can get on there and check it out' camp thereby injecting fresh life into the poll that was again beginning the flatline. One wonders what Jagex will pull out of the bag in the coming days now the vote seems to be flatlining again short of the 500k benchmark that they so obviously want to hit (what with all the pr moves and pulling most of the 750k tier down to 500k tier when it became apparent it was never gonna get that high)

I'd imagine you just get the xp, construction is only untrainable because PoH are turned off due to needing to find/make work the old poh servers.
