2007 - Old School RuneScape... You Vote! - [It's Here!]
There's players who beg them to not do every update, there's players who beg them to remove every update they can't please everyone all of the time and more often than not it is a vocal minority - not the majority. Take this poll for instance, how many hundreds of thousands have not voted as they are perfectly content with the eoc? It's not as simple as doing the exact thing that any one person says when you have like 1 mil odd active accounts - even a typical rsof petition with 50 signatures is a drop in the ocean.

Just because they did it for money does not alter the fact they only did it in response to what the community wanted. This might shock some but more often than not the goal of making a profit and the process of listening to your consumer go hadn in hand.

So you are claiming Jagex does not listen to the community about a vote for 07scape servers that only exists because part of the community made a big fuss wanting it asked for it? I see a flaw in your logic there.

Not really - hiring a small separate dev teams to look at adding updates that already exist in main RS to the Nostalgia-scape if anything implies confidence in the live game as they suspect that even within the old servers theere will be support for their newer better content to be added. Not to mention the model of a never changing, never updating MMORPG has been shown to die quickly in RSC.

Livid Farm rewards question
Extra patch is awful it is a single allotment patch (as in no herb or flower and not dual patch) from what I hear.

Open this right before you collect and use it to set your values: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AldEhLOK6ejJdHlwRC1VRVJiUkFNM2JVQ3otNS0xUGc#gid=1 That way you are always on the best you can be according to ge values. As it stands herbs are top and coal is 2nd, 3rd is mahogany and 4th is maples.

In the last picture? That's a Bandos godsword. I meant more of that it's the ancient Godsword, just that it happens to have a Bandosian hilt. And I noticed that after hitting the post button  Probably meant to represent the player character, since Jagex thinks Torva + Godsword (and nothing else) is the top-tier equipment Don;t be silly Jagex doesn't show players in the top gear they show players in perfectly average gear because everyone has thousands of millions to buy nex gear and in no way shape or form are most average players wearing t70 gear.

Duo's are just trade goods. Actual story there's 6 parts for each of the 6 adventurers + 3(?) parts to the 2 trio stories for a total of 42.

There's no need for scathing sarcastic response, I was just giving what precedent there has been thus for for requirements changing and unreleased content. Certainly none of it in the same ball park and I even said no direct precedent; just precedents in the same ballpark.

Is it not Sanfew? (or huever the herb cape seller is)

Based on concept art I believe it's Death with his new make-over. Intrigued by the big bug-guy at the back (who is obviously another guthix guardian) Look as thought it could possibly be a reworked Fiara, but I doubt it.

There's precedent from requirements changing between bts and release and precedent for unannounced requirements. Several quests have level tweaks (eg Firemakers Curse got lowered) and others have reqs that aren't mentioned (eg Missing My Mummy kudos "req" wasn't mentioned) Also precedent for un-released content stuff in that Philippe post quest visits has two further meet-ups confirmed by the creator at QP levels currently unobtainable. No actual precedent for extra requirements coming from 'last minute' released content - but then teaser-content is very rarely released. Also one has to keep in mind the requirements list was to FULLY complete the quest and get all the rewards, the only req to start it was 140 combat - so they could strap on anything they like to the fully complete without locking people out the doing the quest itself.

Confirmed by the list of full requirements that we won't need to. I wouldn't say it's been confirmed at all. They gave us a list of quests and levels that were the requirements at the time of posting; it is perfectly feasible 'Awaken Kharsi' will be a requirement that was not included in that list as it was not in-game and would've given a spoiler and/or was a last minute addition. And if by 'full list' you mean the one I posted earlier on that was hardly an officially release that was just personal leg work back-tracking quest requirements to convert the 4 listed quests into their skill requirment components.

Is that in relation to DKs?

This is getting rather off-topic, probably best to leave it, so I'll just leave a closing thought. I mean sure from the computer and design perspective the tick is an event that actively occurs and is nothing more. But from a human outside perspective seeing as they happen a set time intervals they are a perfectly valid measure of time because you can quantify that x of them take y time, or you can work out y time contained x ticks. After all all our measures of time are arbitrarily defined intervals.

I wasn't commenting on that part, I more was commenting on the fact you seemed to be wanting a projection from looking at it, something which it as of yet does not actually provide.

Does that not amount to the same thing anyway? If the ticks are happening .6s apart then one could say a tick is .6s it really makes no difference to the final outcome. It doesn't make sense to refer to them as units of time though. Why not? They sort are a unit of time due to the uniform nature in which they occur in time, and the fact anything occurring in the dead space between them is part of them. Time in game can be measured by them as well, examples of that happened already with attacks taking 6 ticks or 3 ticks etc. Not to mention the 'play time' on adventurer logs is probably a direct product of measuring ticks as time to then be converted to conventional measures. Are not all units of time simple fixed intervals within the greater stream of time that can be defined relative to something else? Eg the seconds on a clock are ticks that happen at a set interval as defined by the line at Greenwich from which timezones are defined; seconds of a race are defined as the ticks of a set interval happening from when the race begins to its end. etc. When you measure seconds, you measure the time between those set intervals because time is continuous. When you measure ticks, you have to count how many have occured because they are discrete. If time is continuous and the set interval is .6s is that not a continuous measurement that can be used to read time? Equally if a set interval is discrete because you can count count how many have occurred does this not also apply to seconds? I can say when 60 seconds have occurred by counting them just as easily as I can say when 100 ticks have occurred by counting them.

misplacedme's doesnt actually show a projection, the graph lower scale just runs to the final time leaving blank space. (assuming it's not broken on my end) I'd be interested to see a projection added though; maybe possible to add a line that plots current data and then continues using the assumption the average difference between the last 3-5 vote per minute rates will continue? Eg if last 3 scraps had 14 vpm, 13 vpm and 12 vpm it'd obviously be an average of -1vpm per scrap so the projected line would assume vpm would continue to decrease by 1 at each later scrap and use that to plot a projection line? I used vpm there but given the extra load it'd take to plot may be better to run from the vph figures.

Running RS in the cloud
I don't get why you are intent on renting a pc to do this; it'll only cost more than it does to simply leave ur pc on at home.

I dunno if I agree with the face seeming empty logic - after all his hood is pulled right forward and he is meant to be 'shadowed' it just looks like his face is hidden in the shadow of the hood to conceal who/what he is

Pretty much agree with this. The small group made a lot of noise - Jagex was slightly foolish and thought the group was much larger. They found and planned to launch 07scape, but threw up a poll to make it seem like the weren't just bending to the whim of a few vocal people but letting us have the chance to say what we wanted whilst automatically assuming it would sail through to at least 250k votes if not higher (which is where it becomes feasible the price tier would actually garner players) The vote revealed the vocal group were smaller than Jagex thought with the vote flat-lining all too quickly and in danger of not reaching the target they need/want. Jagex had to get creative with splashing adverts and front page vote buttons all over the shop and try and give the vote just enough life to limp past the goal they require or risk facing the reality that they either have to go back on their word and implement it cheaper/ not do it or follow the vote full well knowing no-one will pay that much and it's a wasted project.

Accounts. Assuming, of course, 1 vote/account which may not have been the case I understand to begin with (cache clear etc). That's misinformation spread by people with trouble reading. If you do clear cache/cookies etc. the message reads: Thank you, you have already registered your support, which is not the case the first time you vote and it actually does register your vote. Was that the case early on? (Not disputing what you are saying, as much as an argument about it is fun). Yes it was the case early on, the fact you have to be logged in to vote means it is storing the vote check mark in your account data, not just the cache. All the cache file is doing is triggering alternate code for the vote pages that doen't display the vote button; hence its being removed causes the button to re-appear but trying to vote again hits the check within your account and thus outputs you have already voted and recreates the cache file.
