  1. It is the same shot with 3 different focuses; hence the whole deciding which is best to continue with line of thought. And I could play with 1 bottle, but I wasn't exploring the anatomy of a bottle I was going for a collective "when the party is over" or "morning after" vibe hence the name of the thread and the direction taken in the piece I have done some post production on.
  2. He shouldn't go back into the grotto after the first time you get him out IIRC. And the enter option certainly shouldn't disappear. So I'm gonna say you've hit a bug and will have to contact jagex via bug report and/or forums.
  3. That'd be where your wrong. A majority of players would much rather have a varied list of options that are good options for fun, speed, profit an a variety of other factors even if they are not the absolutely mathematical best. Besides trolling should be reported and if a user genuinely has posted in normal h&a and then are saying they ONLY want the most efficient a mod can move it over for them.
  4. It's not that slow. Someone else can probably answer better but I think its calculated in the same game tick as the animation starts, after all the calculations only take miliseconds. But I do know you need to prayer on before the animation starts and you can turn it off after the animation has begun.
  5. Yeah its before the animation. The way the game works a hit is calculated THEN put into motion via animation and subsequent hit splat. If the prayer isn't on when the hit is calculated it doesn't effect it.
  6. Alos if you reallllly worried you can go in under the statue east of varrock like u did when u first unlock bork.
  7. No 1 money maker ever stays good permanently. Once it id "discovered" more and more people start doing it, which means the supply rises but with no change in demand. Which causes prices to fall; thus making it a worse money maker.
  8. I know its been well covered but I thought the whole core of it for H&A was: Normal h&a metagamers can give the meta-game answer as long as a firm hand is kept agaisnt both meta-gamers and non-metagamers using derogatory terms about the others advice/play style and outright flaming each other. Meta-Gam h&A for asking questions specifically wanting meta-gaming advice; like if you don't wanna know multiple ways that can be fun or profitable or w/e to train ranged you just want the meta-gaming answer.
  9. Above pretty well covered it but just to add the the variety thing: The defender room in single token mode costs 20 tokens a minute. However in multi-token mode: 1) It cost 3 of each token type a minute (total 15 tokens a minute) 2) Drop rate of defenders is increased 3) More odds of Cyclossus spawning (and he has the best dragon defender drop rate) 4) you get +2 damage to all hits while in there 5) All noted drops will be maximum amounts (some are good for resale to make up for time spent) Each activity give its own token type: Animated armour Dummies Catapault Shotput Jimmy's challenge. Hence 3 tokens of each = 15
  10. Try more like 3 times a week. Damn near every blog post and dev update gets its own topic. Yeah most dev blogs and MAJOR updates are fair enough. but when jagex churns out like 6 or 7 news posts a week about "join us this weekend" "this months prize draw" "high scores maintenance" its like these have like no discussion value to them at all.
  11. Under rules spamming is an offensive for being disruptive to others game play. Its one thts judged on a case by case basis the only 100% defined part is if you flood out the chat box (so 5 possibly 6 lines [based on chat box at standrad size]) with the same message and no-one else manages to speak in between its a rule break. Song lyrics enmass are all also considered rule break and typing out "nonsense" like just dots or w/e
  12. This speaks so much sense my brain may pop from reading it.
  13. Go thru the account section of the website. Also unless it just happened randomly u must of been spamming in a way an auto-typer does. eg saying "Selling 50k lobsters 10k" perfectly the same every time every 10 seconds or so. A solution to avoid this in future is avoid spamming selling/buying or w/e type messages too fast. Its annoying anyway.
  14. lol I agree and admit that I've grown a little tired of every update on the runescape.com website craving its own topic here   What gets me is that people post them here, then read the comments on the thread and reply but STILL manage to not read the news article itself.
  15. I feel obliged to point out: we have AoW for the guide makers. Media for the artists and film makers Blogscape for blogger/goal types Events for the random event making type (sort of covers mhers and skillers) graveyard for pkers RSC for classic players Clan section for clan folk Varrock library for writers Falador tavern for Role players Most classes of rs player are covered in one way or anther other than meta-gamers
  16. I think the sub-forum people in general are referring to is assumed to be a gen discussion sub-forum, though there are also mentions of possibly a help&advice sub-forum too.
  17. I literally have no idea that sounds very strange. i've used the client when browser bugs or w/e have thrown cogs in the machine never have I had the stie refuse to let me play because of this. All I could perhaps suggest is you haven't shutdown/exitted the client fully?
  18. Nope, wasn't referring to you in the first part of my post. Sorry if that put you off. To answer your question, it's a matter of attitude. What are you here on the forums for. If you aren't here to give or receive advice, or to do research, I don't hate you but there's not much space for you on the forums. We're trying to get work done. If someone comes into your office to talk about something completely unrelated, as a manager I'd think it's perfectly reasonable to ask that person to leave the premises. Opinions that further discussion are and should be distinguishable from opinions that have nothing to do with metagaming. For example: CLS vs rapier. "I think CLS might be better because its slower attack time allows SS flashing to be easier" (wrong, but still in the vein of finding out what weapon is actually best) versus, CLS vs rapier. "I think CLS is better because it looks cooler and has a better attack animation" (wrong, but discusses something totally unrelated) Obviously a user wouldn't be banned for the latter comment. I'd just keep it in mind and observe over time. Thats certainly reasonable for a meta-gaming subforum. If you class disruptive behaviour as "unrelated or non-metagame reasoning"
  19. What? They want a forum specifically for discussion of metagaming specifically because they want to avoid conflict. That comment was specifically about "promoting metagaming" attitude m and in relation sepcifically to h&A when it has been shown earlier in the thread some "promote" meta gaming by calling anything non meta-gaming archaic or outdated etc. And that tht attitude also does sort of imply the view of meta-gamers shuld be allowed to talk down non-meta gaming advice but people shouldnt be allowed to talk down meta-gaming.
  20. Most of the "flame wars" that have occured in H&A topics weren't metagamers talking down on others. It has often been others flaming the metagamers for "forcing" their advice on the OP. Yeah thoose people equally need dealing with, no denying that. but I still see why there needs to be an air of "promoting metagaming" opposed to simply unbiased moderation and kicking the ass of meta-gamers and non meta-gamers alike who get derogatory or flamey at others.
  21. I don't see the "promoting metagaming" thing at all. As long as there is no bias AGAINST metagaming in moderation, there's no issue. It just seems to again here come down to metagamers think they should be allowed to be derogatory towards non-metagamers and not have the moderators penalise them for it. It's not a case afterall that mods have acted agaisnt people because they are metagamers, it has been because they have flamed or been derogatory or trolled. @Cheezedude I clearly said "as long as the moderating is kept equally and exclusively to the use of derogatory terms and flaming regardless of which party it is agaisnt." Clearly the person you quoted is NOT someone who would be suitable if they hold that attitude. But you don't need to be pro-metagaming or even a metagamer to subjectively moderate on derogatory terminology or flaming regardless of who is using it and why.
  22. That's if you want your forums to be centered only around community. We want both community AND an attitude of metagame promotion. Well that's just not gonna happen. Tip.it is about serving the runescape community as a whole; there no good reason for them to moderate in favour of metagamers any more than there is to moderator in favour of pkers or skillers or questers or pures. I don;t see how it can remotely be an issue (assuming meta-gamers are given their own subforum) that they simply when posting in the shared area (aka not in the sub-forum) do not use derogatory terms towards non-metagamers and expect if they do so to be punished just the same as someone who uses any derogatory terms towards others.
  23. I don't see the huge need for metagamer specific mods (aside from in tht subforum if you guys get it which wuld be good for you) After all in terms of general forums, eg H&A, it doesn't matter what game style they use as long as the moderating is kept equally and exclusively to the use of derogatory terms and flaming regardless of which party it is agaisnt. Good example oddly enough cropped up above by using words such as "outdated" or "archaic" which clearly have negative connotations or on the flip side I suppose terms like "efficiency nerd" etc are the kinda of terms tht need to be stamped out when giving advice collectively as they clearly inciting annoyance and flaming. Also I don;t think a rule clause about disrupting 1 specific member group is needed. Yes a forum specific rule in a meta-gaming forum; but not an overall one. Same as clan forums have specific rules that dont apply elsewhere.
  24. I think that is fair enough; I think the issue arises in when that view is somewhat rudely enforced upon H&A threads in particular. It's not right to call advice wrong or in some cases flame people JUST because the advice they given isn't the absolute most efficient method. Sure post your efficiency advice and say its more efficient; then leave it at that. Let the OP decide if they wanna use your advice or others. This of course doesn't apply to pointing out advice tht is genuinely wrong, just to calling advice wrong just for not being the most efficient (unless obv the op asked for most efficient) Take a look at <Link Removed>l. Out of all of those efficiency posts, how many of them have differing insight without saying "OH YOURE WRONG STFU". Saying that we all do that is a complete misrepresentation. Most of the posts we make in H&A are genuinely trying to help. I by no means think you all do that. Just saying that HAS happened previously and that the line of what is acceptable and not needs to be drawn there.
