Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
If mods were educated enough(they actually played, no problem with that having atleast one highly educated mod on H&A) and worked swiftly enough in these situations, there really wouldn't be problems with this scenario other than people being outraged about being wrong, but that is something people need to learn. True but is not the entire issue no matter how well educated you are you CAN be wrong? So what about if that mod(s) is wrong as well? I can see the benefits in some ways, but I can see it being problematic in others. At the above about mod role, could have a special class of mods on it; much like the TET or clan leaders are sort of section specific.

yeah method 4 would work too, but it put pointless workload on mods imo, and it assumes the second person is correct and the mod knows such. There have been threads where the second person is wrong too. And it still requires people stop being rude and flaming towards advice they disagree with in thier very first reply.

They are wrong because they are ignorant or stupid, that's the whole point. H&A isn't a metagame discussion board and shouldn't considered to be. Everyone can't always explain everything, but there is alot of knowledge that is accepted in groups and considered not to be worth explaining. If someone asks what ring style to use with a hex, you say sniper, and report anyone who says desperado. No-one is asking for a meta-game discussion. You just have 3 outcomes for wrong advice: 1) post your advice without any extra comment; op is no better off they dunno which advice is right. 2) flame the person who has it wrong and post your advice; probably start a flame war and op still has no way to see which advice is right. 3) post your advice and v. briefly note that the other advice is wrong because...; oh look the op has their advice as one set has justified why it is right and unless reasonably challenged (which I suppose culd drift into meta-game discussion slightly) its done and dusted. In most cases it doesn't even take a lot to justify since you will known where the fact is that proves your advice and can easily drop a url or quote or the logic behind it. And Obtaurian I have never tried to argue my personal experience as proof; I have posted it yes and noted it as such and its only become argued when others insist their personal experience, with equally lack of data etc., some how proves mine wrong. It's like I've said before people have this totally deluded idea of what I've argued about. Heck i only really post such uncertain advice on questions about new content no-one is sure on yet and obscure questions tht rarely get a definitive right answer.

But if you wanna say someone is wrong you have to validate why they are wrong; else it doesn't achieve anything. The OP is no better off as no-one has actually shown their answer is more correct. If you are going to contradict someone's advice you gotta give the why/how to validate that you are in fact the one who has it correct.

When the Party is Over...
I'd agree if I hadn't stood for several minutes sorting out the blinds, shot angle and bottle arrangement to create the shot I wanted. But art is subjective afterall so not everyone gonna like the same shots. I think I wanna crop down number 3 a bit and desaturate but oversaturate/keep the lipstick that is on one of the bottles.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
Artisan Workshop: I got my math wrong, I was proven wrong. I admitted it was wrong and apologised. Convenient how you miss that last bit off. And i DONT post advice when I'm not sure; doesn't mean I'm always right. I'm human you can be sure about stuff but be wrong. As I've said time and time again prove me wrong and I'm happy to take it. Call me and a liar and flame me without proving a thing and I'm not gonna take it. Also memory and personal experience does cover a lot of advice well because I read everything I can about RS, question advice I see I'm interested in and unsure about and I have a good memory for such things. Plus if you look at threads where I've discredited other people I do so without flaming and provided links to the relevant info that proves me correct. But all this doesn't alter the fact most of my advice is perfectly fine, most of the threads that turn into flame wars I'm not actually conclusively proven wrong or even proven right. And the few I am proven wrong never needed a flame war and I apologise on for my mistake. Doesn't help matters that users certain insist on holding onto this totally fabricated image of me based on a few posts removed from the overall context of my posting and thereby immediately attacking me when they see a mistake opposed to civilly addressing the issue; cause that just gets my back up and makes me attack back.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I am adamant when I know what I'm saying is true based on my personal experience. All I ask is if you think/know I'm wrong prove it, flamewars start because people expect me to just say oh my memories and personal experience must be wrong because one person said they are without giving anything more substantial than their experience/memory. One persons personal experience or memory is no more valid as proof as mine, so if you wanna say I'm wrong give proof. If you do that I happily take my mistake or experience of a bug that isn't correct. That or people flame me as lying or w/e when I clearly say "as far as I know... but im not sure" or similar and I bite back cause its my nature; I don;t take people flaming me for no good reason. But I also report my own flame wars to make sure they get tidied up and force myself to leave them. People just remember the bad threads, no-one recalls the many threads I give perfectly correct advice in. Or the threads I give fine advice in then get flamed for no reason based on people carrying grudges. Or the many website corrections I perfectly correctly give. Or the posts were I am proven wrong and do apologise. But yeah dires bit bout trolling ppl hu dont explain isn't good. I wasn't agreeing to that part; hence I didn't mention it.

I'd agree with you koaala aside from the fact every time I have been proven wrong I apologised. The only times I have not apologised is where nothing has been proven. Its all very well somebody saying no you are wrong, but that's not proving it. Also great of you to accuse me of doing things and talking about things I made 0 comment on. I never said I was the first trying to improve something; I said the solution to THIS issue as I see it from what I've read. Also I'm interested to see these ideas to improve H&A any links to threads? Can't say I've come across anything particularly on that issue. As for Dire_Wolfs point: I think the issue is the effciency players (or at least some of them who give a bad image) have a habit of being derogatory or flamey if asked to explain their advice, or simply refuse to do it and then if debate ensues will reveal an important detail tht they culda jsut gave in answer to question like pages later. Just giving advice is good; being rude or awkward when asked to explain further is unnecessary. In some threads I've seen to advice on a topic I dunno about, posted a good intentioned question about it and been flamed in return. If people question it in order to learn its not exactly hard to just answer it and not flame them as if they are saying the advice is wrong or call them stupid for not knowing why.

i7 upgrade...
I have had extremely bad experiences with Kingston, so to me it is a no-no, but I would recommend Corsair anyday. Same I find kingston heatsink fins oddly wide and shaped and get too close to cpu fans etc and I've found them slightly porpely sized to fit into the sockets. Had 1 system ages ago where it was too small so was really loose, then the replacement bits were too big and actually broke trying to be put in; going back many many years though. Never had issue with corsair thou. Also I really need to stop posting here, but I keep having sudden sparks of things to say on reading replies lol

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
I know I'm very much simplifying the issue. But it all boils down to tht. Afterall if they accepted the rules as they r fair and didn't start kicking off there wouldnt of been extra punishments. no extra punishment = no rampant spamming about omg its unfair. No spammage = no mods getting slightly trigger happy due to being stressed out, bullied and painted as bad for no reason. I personally wouldnt mind if most of the effcieny mob got banned; some give great advice but most just needlessly hound people and have driven some of the best advice givers away. Heck regardless of what I post or how valid it is atleast of tht lot normally crops up to flame me and say I "always psot wrong advice" even though 95% of what I post is spot on and the 5% that isn't right I either make clear I'm not sure on or when proven wrong (opposed to jsut flamed at) apologise for. NB: I'm not trying to say I'm a saint or anything. I know I kick off and bite back and don;t back down to flamers and thus cause some arguments to continue. But I'm aware of this and half the time I even report myself to the mods so they come in and clean it up and bring watchful eyes to the thread which helps me told my tongue to avoid punishment. And more often that not do apologise for kicking off where appropriate.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
This is getting dull now; from all I've skimmed over it basically seems: The efficiency lot have got the knickers in a twist because moderators are telling them they are not allowed to be rude, derogatory and flamey towards people who post perfectly valid advice even if it is not the most efficient advice. The solution I see is: Get off yer high-horse let the mods do their jobs and accept the fact not everybody is an efficiency person. Yes you can disagree with advice or post a more efficient alternative but that does not require being rude, derogatory or flamey. All you gotta do is give you're advice and tag on the end the above advice is out-dated or incorrect because x,y,z or so and so advice works but this method is more efficient.

Making a runescape clan
Jagex just implemented a new clan support system into the game. It supplies you with a forum all nicely set up and looked after by jagex as well as a means to post events. Which for a start up clan is more than enough and renders the need for forum staff and developers obsolete. Just saying why waste energy and resources of what would essentially be "dead weight" until you get well established and have a few hundreds members and thus become a bit too big for jagex systems to operate ideally for.
-
Making a runescape clan
Go read rs news. "forum staff" and developers are largely redundant until you become a massive clan* since the new clan systems supply a decent enough event posting system and private forums for each clan founded. *Talking like rivalling THE big clans

living farm
I'll assume you mean livid. And no, not really. It gives just enough farm and mage xp to be just about justifable for unlocking the spells, but it is by no means efficient or fast. Especially considering farming herbs = profit; even when u siphon cash off to buy tree seeds for the best farm xp rates.

DG and prestige
Certain floors have different prestiges for example you might get 50k from floor 40 which was your max before resetting but you do floor 35 which gives 42k then it averages those together to give you the prestige you earned for that particular floor then it multiplies that by your efficiency %. So you would a 46k prestige average and then it would multiply that by your average example 140% to equal your total xp gained. The base prestige is constant.. it is "level 30 prestige". However the actual prestige you see CAN change over various floors: the base is modified by for example the amount of rooms in your dungeon, the average level of npcs met.. So basically: Read what I posted further up that covers it without getting all complicated and technical as to HOW it changes and thereby confusing matters slightly.

New Clue Scroll Coordinate
ctrl+f (or cmd+f on mac) is your friend. I just used "04" and it was like fifth or sixth result Also worth remembering the list is ordered numerically by the north/south co-ordinate, which makes it fairly fast to spot the right area of the list; there's only 6 04's in the list.

Or it very might perhaps be the Queen of Snow vs the Queen of Sunrise passing off the ceremonial 'year baton' to mark the official changing of the seasons; with the event centred around the fact the baton has been stolen thus leading to conflict the player must resolve. But y'know this reading skill that lets me gain information openly posted in the behind the scenes is rare. :-D

New Clue Scroll Coordinate
It's in the list: 04.13 North 12.45 East Crandor, near the broken walls and pillars and scorpions toward the northeast. You must have at least started the Dragonslayer Quest to get onto Crandor Island. Picture 04.16 South 16.16 East Karamja Shipyard, east of the Southernmost house. Dig right against the house wall under the east window. The password to the Shipyard is ka-lu-min, but you must have started the Grand Tree Quest to access this area. Saradomin wizard will attack. Picture 04.41 North 03.09 West Arandar, South of the winding path to Prifddinas, amidst the red spider egg spawns. You must have at least started the Regicide Quest and have level 56 agility to access this area. Saradomin wizard will attack. Picture 05.20 South 04.28 East In Feldip Hills, north of the fairy ring (AKS), between the two rockslides, north-west of Rantz Picture

Doomsayers
It wasn't out of place as it comment on the thread and the fact the way it was written made it hard to read while also satirising the fact of taking something relatively minute and turning it into a doomsday type proclamation. It is perfectly justifiable to point out a thread is hard to read due to the way it is formatted as it allows the OP to edit and make it easier to read for future viewers thus rendering it easier to discuss and more productive; plus anyone with a decent grasp of satire and the English language can deduce a secondary meaning to my post that perfectly gave an on-topic response to the thread.

When the Party is Over...
Back again with a few new shots; these are all before post-production. I think I wanna darken* them up and its all 1 shot really with 3 different focal points. So yeah critique on what's good/bad and which you think is the better composition. Personally I'm thinking number 3 is the most interesting focally, perhaps number 1; though I think I missed the focus slightly on 1 (was aiming to get the bottle cap, but back edge isn't quite sharp) *by darken I mean mostly desaturate, with a lil bit of upping the blacks and turning down the brightness just to give a slightly more sombre mellow feeling

Future Update Discussions
But its not an area being "updated" its a new area. Hence: a) Holiday event area is kinda new and blates not gonna build new areas with the old trees
-
Future Update Discussions
You missed probably the biggest reason that holiday events always have the highest traffic of players doing them, so more people are going to see the trees. How is that a reason for them to use the new trees? That is an outcome of using the new trees on holiday event, but not a reason particualrly to use them; afterall people will pass through the new tree area to reach the event anyway and if all trees r getting updated eventually then why do people absolutely need to see them now?

i7 upgrade...
Also reboot without clean install tends to go a lot nicer if u don't brand hop. From personal experience Doing a rebuild intel to amd had to reboot like 12 or so times and do a few repairs from disc to work. Doing an intel to intel for my mum; and an amd to amd for a friend both went much faster n smoother. Could be a fluke thou.
