  1. And if it is fun time will fly by quicker. It is impossible to multi task this boring minigame. I also have trouble differentiating 3 of the 4 in the cure plant menu. I was having trouble at the start as well. Found some details to look for after a while though. Top left is the only plant with only 1 flower. Bottom left has 2 big flowers. Then the two on the right are identical except for the color, so I compare the flower color and see which is darker. The lighter one is the top one and the bottom one is the darker one I think. Not true you can easily tell all 4 apart. Top left - you can only see 1 big flower. Bottom Left - you can see two big flowers, especially when facing north. Bottom right - Is all splayed apart Top right - has 1 big flower with 2 small ones tight to it.
  2. negative phrase means she doesn't get energised and u dont get xp or points Well yes I'm aware but all you have to do is energize her again after you choose the wrong phrase. At least if they prevented you from doing it at all that phase it would make sense to have the wrong options there...right now it's just tedious. No it means you have to look what ur clicking, if you click wrong you use up runes with no xp or points gained. That is the point it costs you for doing it wrong.
  3. Given that the entire game is meaningless pixels there is no valid reason to spend any time at all on it other than you want to get meaningless pixel achievements. It's nothing to do with suffering; if you suffer playing the game don't play it. Spending 10 hours slaying is not more productive, after all all you did was make some pixels change colour to gain drops that are mere pixels you attribute a value to that does not exist outside the game. A the whole 'healthy' argument is bs. You can spend something like 14 hours a day at a computer quite safely as long as u take a short break every 3 hours or so and in the rest of the day get reasonable exercise and eat right. You can't simply say playing on games for more than x time = un-healthy or anti-social or anything. Everybody has a whole heap of different factors that make this result. As for the why: Jagex makes money by people playing the game. Jagex wnats to make people play as long as possible. There is your why, if everything could be completed in a few months playing a couple of hours a day Jagex would go bust.
  4. That assumes that you some how possess universally knowledge of everyone's requirements timewise and how much they can give to rs; which we can safely say you do not. I know plenty of adults who play more than I do, it depends on a huge amount of factors and in all honestly in an mmorpg 40 hours playtime isn't considered a huge amount of effort. mmorpg are meant to eat up time as you play them for years on end. Heck I'm not much of a no lifer and I have clocked up 216 days 21 hours play time, meaning 40 hours = 1/130 of my total play time. I spent atleast 3 times as much on that on other skills tht take grinding and are far less enjoyable.
  5. I agree with muggi here its one thing to be blunt, eg answering a post saying Is it a good idea to use guam cleaning to training herblore with a blunt answer such as: No. That is literally the worst xp possible you should at least do.... Opposed to: No that is a stupid idea. Its completely aweful xp and anyone who's any use at the game should be using... Both are blunt, both are concise; but the later is clearly also insulting and negative.
  6. In my experience Pauline draining is not even 100% every 2 rounds. Sometimes she goes for 3 rounds without draining and sometimes she drains twice in a row. But 2 rounds is definitely the average.
  7. Yeah when you finish MEP2 and they give you a crystal trinket to allow you access to the re-secured temple it is for reason. You need it to get in again. And as covered that way of rcing is an absolutely awful idea. Use the abyss or play GOP for the direct teletabs.
  8. negative phrase means she doesn't get energised and u dont get xp or points
  9. Form what I've heard fally and ardy spells both land u simialr distance as cathurby one (aka right on top of it) Of course fally is largely useless as by the time u get it odds r u got cabbage-port (item>runes for teleing when distance is about equal) But yeah ardy by the sounds of things shuld be useful to those who lacke elite ardy cape.
  10. Standard work/study week is 35 hours. Usual sleep is taken at 8 hours a night. In total you have 77 hours a week left once u knock off the 35 and the 8*7 That works out to 11 hours a day (though obviously more is on weekends) So classing 5 hours as 1.5 days play time I think is perfectly reasonable and well under estimating for many users; even if you account for homework/study in excess to the 35 hours. Even if it doesn't fit for all it still stands its only 35 hours total play time to get all the spells.
  11. Gives 3k farm xp, not much given you need 77+ farm for full witch doctor.
  12. Doing very rough math is about 3xp (on average) per produce point. Produce points seem to be 20k an hour atm So tht'd imply 60k mage xp an hour. Probably underestimating. Not really. Looking at 20k an hour roughly rate. 5 hours = 100k 5 hours is like 1 days playtime during holidays, 1.5 days during term/work time (using low play times) So that's 9 - 14 days realistic non-no-lifing play time. 35 hours total play time.
  13. Why? The place to change book is only marginally further from tele spots than the farm.
  14. Really? You mean Jagex wants us to GRIND it out for petty XP?!?!?! There's a shocker ... It's not even the XP. The most expensive spell costs 829k tokens. I think you could get maybe 20k tokens an hour (that number could be off, but it seems around that, maybe even less). Just seen that when you unlock a spell you don't lose the points, so it'll take ~40 hours to unlock all the spells, that not *too* bad then. That's not taking into account how many runes you'll need to get it. You'll get about 20k farming xp/hour, 8k crafting, 5k agility and about 5k construction so it's not even a whole lot of that either. I've done 15-20mins ish, half hour tops, there and got 11k points
  15. Also not to hard to maximise points, on each 'round' Fertilise 3 patches Cure 3 plants Fix 2 fence spots. Then every 2/3 rounds you also have to lots of livid to bundle up and pauline to energise. Quite easy even with mild lag to do it all before it advances and thus maximise xp. Just need mud staff and lots of laws, nats and astrals
  16. hmm this veng thing is badly worded. It seems as though it will apply veng to a group around u imo thou
  17. The two teleports land u close to the allotments, similar distance to cathurby tele. Fally is useless if u have cabbage port, but ardy is good for thoose hu lack elite cape.
  18. I'd for go titan, juju is not tht useful. especiall in lrc where u right on the bank.
  19. Yeah wallsafes = rogues den. Rogues den =/= theiving guild
  20. TBH a good way wuld be to use up constitutuion. Casters lvl drops 1 for every 10lp healed. Just need to make sure super restores etc dont restore constitution lvl too much and have high rune costs (bloods n souls i'd say) so tht it is costly to over use
  21. From the way it was worded, it sounds like something not dissimilar to Herblore Habitat. If it was a D&D, Jagex usually put the words 'weekly repeatable experience' or something similar in there. Yes, this is what I took from that too. I really hope this trend reaches all skills... Although, this one also seems to focus around Farming. Maybe they felt they missed the mark with HH? And minigame as a term is broad, but is it really a minigame if it's just a bunch of training spots that relate to one another? What do we call these then... :-k TBF as the name implies HH was mainly for herblore and hunter. And mini-games don't exist no more. As far as jagex is concerned its an activity or an D&D (mh, skill and quest aside tht is)
  22. Heres hoping the 5 spells they didn't detail in bts are equally as good or better than the 3 we were told about, since thoose 3 all seem decent.
  23. bird eye jack lets u bank without token. Trollheim tele tabs exist. You can do most skills on lunar easily, the lunar tele themselves have some useful spots. Then between house portals and item teleports you can get anywhere easy peasy. Unless you need to alch, superheat or need strong combat mage lunar is by far the most productive spellbook to stay on. Ancients only canafis tele is useful for getting around, which house portals cover. The entire normal spellbook is covered by house portals and/or teletabs. So basically on lunar's you have every single transport option open to you.
  24. The thing is: The average rule breaker isn't likely to read the rules. If people have no regard for rules they do not bother to read them as it is a waste of their time. Heck most average forum users don't even read the rules and simply learn them by being told when they cross them. Also I see wkw's point but it is rather stupid imo. It is not Tip.its job to police how people play runescape, it is their job to police their forums which is what they are doing. Sure users may break runescape rules and NOT post about them, but that is no problem to the tip.it site; it is a problem to jagex staff.
  25. Trollheim then the 4 allotments (fally, cathurby, ardougne and port phasmaytas)
