I always farmed with it for mage xp when I could afford it, but lately I've been doing it 100% as it is cheaper and seems like it will remain so for a good while yet. Only thing is: Remember to swap between ur mud/lava/earth staff and the secaturs before u harvest! Also lunar is by no means an inconvenience to any major farmer. All the normal spell book teleports of use to farming (fally, varrock, lumby, trollheim) can be used via teletabs which save inventory space anyway. Plus cathurby tele > camelot tele and fishing guild tele > skills necklace for ardougne if u lack elite cape.

The reason i don't critize Thanks giving, Christmas and so on is because it's so well known and have become a "Must" in many games. And so i have learned to accept that. And i don't mind it, because i know there is TONS of different people in different countries celebrating these events. However, the update with KBD and KQ love seems really lame because it's only for British people, and the update seems like a waste. Like Wild Wyrms and that stupid Haiti wolf. But hey i accept they are going through with this, i am just saying whati think of it. Pretty much everything and anything produced in Britain is paying homage in some way to the royal wedding. To the British and several other nations it is a big deal; there are a few other countries that used to be part of the British Empire that still recognise and celebrate the Queen and the royal family. Fair enough if the event don't appeal to you, I think people are more taking offence at the implications and statements by others that it should not be celebrated because it is just British and not something their nation celebrates, despite whole hearted willingness to have Thanksgiving and complain if it is missed and equally argue for having other American only holidays brought into the game like 4th of July etc. Why should Jagex include events for those 1 nation events but not celebrate its own heritage and nation?

Terrorism is an important part of Muslim culture. Should we celebrate it for the sake of all Muslim players (including those who are, y'know, not fanatical about their religion)? Terrorism is in no way and important part of muslim culture; it is part of an extremist minority.

Always good to see pics get updated, so many quests have outdated images simply because most users aren't so helpful and most of the tip.it crew have quest capes (iirc) :thumbsup:

How about we don't let this descend into a flame war about the pros and cons of a monarchy? Lets just leave it as uk has a monarchy. It is an important part of uk culture; therefore it is a big event and has rightly been noted by jagex.

Theres many succesful court cases where jagex pwned bot sites if you go and look it up. Also they don't use uk courts, they file the case with the court of the country the issue is in; if you look through the corporate site fully they even have a legal team in america now (iirc) and they can go after people opposed to sites to circumvent sites hosted elsewhere.

Perhaps because the monarchy is a massive part of the British national identity and it is a massive deal for the 2nd in line to the throne to be getting married and it gives an extra bank holiday.

Of course they have bot dtetection systems, all good games too. Also no poof of tht many users using bots its just a theorised number backed up by some clever statistic work and statistics can be manipulated to show w/e you want. You seem to be labouring under the illusion bots can be gotten rid of; they can't. There will always be bots and jagex will always work agaisnt them. And lawsuits do help given the site owners are slammed with massive compensation charges and cant realistically open a new site too fast with them, plus any subsequent site would be all the easier to get taken down due to the prior ruling on the same issue.

Orly? And what, pray-tell is Jagex doing about them? :rolleyes: The stat resets, the bannings, the lawsuits against bot sites the various bot detection systems etc.

Or address the highly naive and misled viewpoint many hold that there are bots in rs therefore jagex are not doing anything about them.

Unless the top 9000 results are all forum posts (or other similair things) your statement isn't true :P I think the difference between 371 and 9330 results is good enough to say that runescape has a lot more problems with bots then WOW, nothing new really. Not really. All it shows are more website hits on the topic. For all we known 200/371 WoW results are actual bot sites and note forum posts while 100/9330 runescape ones are actual bot sites. Plus there the obvious issues between the differences of runescape.com and battle.net. Afterall most if not all runescape related websites will cite runescape.com somewhere; but WoW is a disc based game and not widely associated with the battle.net website in the same way which would produce more hits for rs than wow in such a test.

Yeah its much easier to make a bot tht can run in a java applet than a bot that can run in c+ software. Also note how these results are heavily skewed as you can clearly see all the top results are FORUM POSTS about botting not sites giving away bots. All thoose graphs show is more rs people talk about/care about botting as an issue.

Older academics often have stale opinions on the issue, they don't fully understand what they're talking about. Older Academics? Most of my uni lecturers are lates 20s to mid 30s; also that is such a cope out argument Academics know what they are talking about they don't write off a source for no good reason. Heck Stephen Fry is a great example of one who writes off wikipedia as full of bs yet is a forefront figure in pro-tech bunch and often gets to do product tests on the new gadjets before they hit the market.

It culd be ur connection partially, I mean 0.9mb/s isn't exactly a gr8 upload speed and forums can take oddly high amounts of data to upload/download compared to other comparatively plain sites.

The first thing you get taught at any high level education: Wikipedia is not a good source, even as a starting place because 9/10 it is wrong. Sure its highly checked, all that means is that the common misconceptions get repeatedly posted and that true corrections get edited out again and again as users who think it is wrong re-edit it. And Wikipedia is by far better than rswiki or any others.

Seems good to me the only thing missing imo is being a bit more strict with "Grudge spam/flame" ie where certain users immediately jump to flaming others based on personal issues or events in another thread regardless of current thread content. So many threads in H&A lately descend into uselessness because of this. Prime examples being certain users have posted on H&A threads for the sole purpose of saying someone else stupid and/or give bad advice based on grudges from prior threads; despite the fact they have nothing to contribute to that thread and the given advice there is perfectly correct.

Yes, but it's also quality-checked by everyone as well, perhaps not as quickly as say wikipedia, but still. Quality checked by other idiots or as proven here people who assume it is correct.

atm 10 maples 5 coal is best i think. 10 coal 5 maple wuld work too
