Finished the tasks. Love the update! Can't wait to see what they do with future diaries. This is like treasure trails, sort of, you could call it the update that keeps on giving.

Up until a few days ago I would log if I came to a world where someone was hunting, and hop until I found an empty world. Then the other day I was hunting red chin's and another player logs on says, "mind sharing?" I said whatever or no problem or something to that effect, but I was really wishing she'd leave. lol She later told me that her friend was like the 13th or 16th, somwhere around there to get 99 hunter, and he had told her that red chins are faster if there is more than one hunter. something about them spawning up right next to the boxes. He had also told her to kill the rogue wanderers so the more stepfordtype ones would pop up and walk into the box. After that, I started hunting when someone was already there, but you can tell they're huffy like I was. So I'm hoping the 90+ hunters will chime in here and help me put this to rest since I'm only a lowly lvl 71 nooby hunter. Is it faster to hunt chinchompas as a party or stake a claim and shoe away the intruders? And what about the rogues? Do they need to be killed or will they eventually succumb to their fate?

You would be referring to the bjr/whistle ring route for gold mining written about in this guide, but the switch happened way before fairy rings came into the game. People have been getting 99 smith with gold ores for a long time. Duke was probably closer to the time with his mention of rock & hard place. And btw, if you truly want to keep something to yourself, the best way to do that would be to keep it to yourself. Regarding construction being the most expensive, yes it is, but it seems people are making a pretty good chunk back by selling costume sets once they get high enough.

They have actually done just that. It's called the non-wildy where players can't attack each other. Are you telling me that you want a section of the wildy where players can't fight? :shock: It's not fair to call pkers lazy. Pking is a skill that uses game skills that have to be trained. There are a few thousand people who play the game just to pk. They are not lazy because they don't train other skills. They play their game and you play yours. If you don't want to get attacked stay out of the damn wildy. Gawd, if i had a geepee for every time that's been repeated here.

after a couple of days of crafting nats, you should be well enough off to afford to lose an ammy now and then. Using the house tabs guarantees a cost of what, 1-2k per trip. How many runs with glory can you do without dying? not to mention the cost of leveling construction and building your house. ouch. I think, for poor people, glories are more economical in the long run. House ports, construction, etc..would be for peeps whit more money and time. :P

Rc pkers intentionally seek out poorly defended, unarmored players to attack for the hope of what? a 60k necklace. that's disgusting ok... what about rune rock pkers now? never seen threads of that before. ... rune miners never complained. At least rune miners usually wear armor, have prayer, maybe some food, and are armed with a pickaxe at worst. They stand a chance of getting away if they dont panic and run into multi. lol I agree that rcers shouldnt make whining posts about getting pkd. No one should. It is the wildy and getting killed is always a possibility. rc pkers still disgust me though. and it's funny, I don't have a problem pking any trainers, including berry pickers and agility trainers, it's just the rc pkers that make me sick. lol And at least one of them does have some shame about doing it. I got attacked by a pker at the abyss one time, and when I got away he made it a point to come to the bank and find me to let me know that he was NOT a rc pker. He just got bored while wating for his clan and decided to att me. He was obviously worried about someone finding out he rc pkd. lol Maybe it's against his clan's rules and he already had a few strikes.

And to think, all this time I thought I really was a barbie looking chick with a 13 inch waste who can kill a dragon wearing only a whip, an orange shield and a santa hat, and who runs around mining coal in a snow white princess outfit and catches sharks with nothing but a spear and can change nearly anything into money. I don't usually care for name dropping topics, but here's sort of a funny little story since thehate is on the boards. I remember watching thehate train at bk guards in his guard uniform (bronze med, iron chain). He was lvl 80something and I was in the 60's. I stood there watching him go in, out, up down, out, around and around and thought "damn, what a rs god he must be". So then I thought, "well, if you want to be a goddess, froggy, you need to train like the gods do. Next thing i knew i had trained 15 combat levels right there. rofl, I'm pretty sure that was the fastest way in the game to level at the time.

It doesn't make them 100%. It just makes them without a talisman. You still need a binding necklace and the spell still rocks. So does the make glass spell. 82 magic isn't at all too much to ask for this spellbook.

IMO, because of all that extra trouble to make them, they are not the best xp. I'd stick with natures/death and free laws when you can spare the $$$. i'm only 70 so the grain of salt thing applies

I use warrior and glory. I sold my fury. the small boost is just not worth 5m.

Good luck with your goal. For rune ess you might try temple trekking routes 2 and 3. I think it might prove to be faster than mining it and you have the chance to pick up coal and iron for free.

I rarely ever cancel an assignment since the black mask and fairy ring port system were added to game.

Full clan support would work. I've played another java game that had it. Jagex has been too busy making n00b updates and unfairly banning innocent players when they should have been coding something cool like a clan support system. :roll:

It applies to everyone really. I had an innocent account that had 0 black marks unfairly perm banned for macroing. I probably failed to talk to some noob who was arrogant enough to think if a player didnt speak to him he must be macroing and reported me. Appeal denied. Account gone. The end. Jagex is out of control and it could happen to anyone. I've learned that much. macroing no yes

You could just as well be asking why people even play runescape. It's essentially the same question. Is there a point to any of it? I slay because I like it. I'm training to 85 because: 1)Abbys are good xp 2)Even selling at 2mil, whips make slayer a great money making skill. I stopped slaying at 82 to kill abbys with pies and got a whip every trip, about every 12 pies. And kiliing abbys is much more fun than rcing. 3)skill total..i'm going for 90 slayer by the end of summer 4)I have a goal of being able to do everything there is to do in game and slayer is one of the few skills that I have yet to achieve it in. 5)It doesn't make sense to me anymore to train combat if i'm not also getting slayer xp 6)I want that sexy cape too. I hate "what's the point" topics dissing various game content. We all play our own game. That should be reason enough to do anything. no?

Well..one of the thrills of killing the helpless comes in the entertainment value of these whining posts about how terrible pking is. But no..killing the helpless just for that sake isn't the most thrilling. The best rush is when somone attacks me and I end up killing them. but whatever..it is the wildy and anything goes. That is that. I'm not going to not attack people just because they're 1 iteming. Sometimes I might attack just because they are. Pkers pk for fun. They wildy is their stomping ground. If you don't like it don't go. simple, no?

Whether anyone thinks pking is right or not is really a moot point. It is a vital part of the game and Jagex has even made a way to avoid it for those who don't want to pk or be pk'd. It's called staying out of the wildy. It doesn't matter whether you go there to pk, train, hunt clues, pick berries or collect hides. Most pkers kill for the thrill and will kill anyone they run into. If you aren't willing to risk getting pk'd stay out of the wild. simple. People who have moral issues with pking should be looking for another game, imo. And to those guys who say pkers get nothing from you except bones or whatever, that is not true. They get nice xp and a rockin adrenaline rush. Sorry, wildy is wildy..put your big boy/girl panties on and take the risk or don't go there.
