  1. And many spins were bought this day... Spinscape 2: Yelps strikes back. Based on his combat gains, at least 1M of that slay xp came from spins.
  2. Effigies are no longer discontinued! Me and a few other people slaying have drop rates ranging from 1/420k-1/700k slay atm using the ideal task list.
  3. They've only banned a few dozen maxed players out of the ~10K of them. It wasn't a significant %. There's so many of them because of the game being 1. Very old. 2. Significantly easier than it used to be. Most people banned on that list were around the 2400 total mark. But yes, people have been asking for a while now that whenever someone maxes and asks for HLF access, their account is checked over to avoid situations like this where some people bot part of max total (and beyond!)
  4. The drop rate of druidic has been confirmed by a JMod to be between 1/100k and 1/1M. You can find the post in the clue scroll forums if you like. Elite clue scrolls (and druidic) were only released in August 2010. The number of each druidic item in the game is tiny. But anyway, the majority of druidic is inactive. (The players who own it won't trade it). There are fewer active druidic robe top+bottoms than any other item in the game, including crackers. The reason druidic spiked massively was that a small group was buying it out of the ge (not hard, due to the tiny number of druidic items that are ever on the ge) at the same time most of Fishy fc (most of whom owned a top + bottom) got banned. The merchers removed the active druidic, and the stock of inactive druidic was drastically reduced. Equally Fishy hosts owning druidic made it a sign of wealth and others who previously had no interest in the items started buying it (stakers) further increasing demand. Removing inactive items from the game should have no impact on the economy if everyone played by the rules, but people speculate when it happens and that's what drives the price changes (self fulfilling prophecy). Also, in general the belief that discontinued items (and items so rare they approximate to discontinued items) must go up in value long term as they leave the game through players quitting etc. has been disregarded. If someone quits Runescape with no intentions of returning, in 99.9999% of cases (not a made up % at all nope) they don't just leave items worth hundreds/thousands of dollars in their bank. Md3w being the most recent case in point. So when thinking long term, inactive items do have to be taken into account.
  5. No one relevant to this topic actually stakes with Martingale. Most of the time you stake approximately the same amount each time. If you vary the amounts then you might get unlucky and lose on the spike stakes. If you keep it constant eventually the maths will do its thing and your advantage will cause you to profit.
  6. Md3w no lifed more consistently over the past 2 years than most people currently on the front page. He just had different goals.
  7. People have been banned for RWT through staking before on assumption. If you lose a large quantity of gold staking to someone whose IP has been flagged for being involved in RWT in the past, that is enough for them to ban you, whether you actually sold gold or not. He would have had to have sold his gp to someone who didn't live in Asia and who hadn't had an account flagged for RWT before (or whose IP/VPN had changed since then). And most Europeans/Americans/Canadians flip gp without running bot farms (obviously some do, but the majority) and don't have the funds to buy vast quantities of gp at short notice, so he probably thought [bleep] it and resorted to the sites that do run bot farms as well and do have the resources to quickly buy 70b. Lmfao at Pesty Cakes in chatbox.
  8. Many players are claiming to have been banned for AHK use rather than botting. I assume because using AHK macros that aren't 1:1 are still more 'acceptable' than botting and many of these people have temp bans only and so will come back to RS.
  9. The ban wave is for botting and use of other macros (like DGS botting start room for the past 3 years). Md3w and Razzeh were banned for RWTing obviously. If Apple were to rwt, I imagine he would have been more intelligent in how he did it.
  10. Why. David (Lyfe) was a professional gold farmer back in the day. No surprise he returned to it. Not to mention the clan leader :P
  11. Why does this guy claim top 10 merchers when ive never heard of him He literally owned the christmas cracker market for a long time and was a major player in blues too. Since free trade came back he's made more through merchanting than many dice hosts/stakers ever did. Anyone with the vaguest idea of the more successful free trade merchants has heard of him.
  12. To clarify, Md3w was banned for RWT prior to this incident, not for botting. There is the usual controversy where several of these players' friends claim that they'd never bot etc. particularly in the case of Tugn.
  13. Just break the filter into 2 sections: swear words, and other possibly offensive words (for people of different races and sexualities, and other groupings). Those who don't want to see it don't have to. Those who have no problem with it, can see it. I rarely see discrimination in game, so in my experience this isn't even that big of an issue.
  14. I've had one piece so far from an abyssal demon on task. Hoping for an effigy when I complete the key.
  15. ... The minions are just an irritant. Should have left those alone and focussed on the boss.
  16. An icefiend that was pretending to be a pillar in Ghorrock fortress has been moved. Sneaky fellow.
  17. All kinds of awesome. Gratz! Nice colours too.
  18. Definitely agreed with Alg. I've played several older games with graphics that aren't exactly of brilliant 'quality', yet manage to be quite beautiful nonetheless.
  19. Glacors are around 1.5M/hr from shards and alchables only. With an average of 13.56M every 330 kills (or w/e boots drop rate is). Chaotic staff + abilities until you can afford vwand+book. (I tried t70 wand + book when I was rebuilding and even with ovl/mage turmoil you miss a lot, needs t80.) Also upwards of 400k/hr mage/defence xp even with the non optimal gear. If you're not using wand+book you might as well be on normal spell book to alch the rune drops. Torstol farming is RIP'd [M] Clean Torstol: 9,146gp (-365/-3.8%) In the end I just had a friend lend me drygores and basic Nex gear though. All you need to nex tank is superior ports armour, drygores and a DG shield switch)
  20. Any goals post-comp? You seem to have a fair few trim reqs completed.
  21. Got 3 keystones from a slayer task of 114 members. Will go try the bosses out later. Also wondering if with vwand/book/ovl/mage turmoil etc. you could bypass weakness and just barrage the ones in that first room where there's loads of them bunched really closely together?
  22. Does anyone know the fastest method of slaying order of ascension members and the approximate slay/hr using that method?
