  1. Sounds great. I only turn my sounds on when the game tells me to for quests and for dungeoneering (idk why, helps me concentrate). E.g. I only just found out the ports storylines were all voiced ;/ Might start using them more if the game sounds like that.
  2. The two new skills are supposed to be linked, with one of them being a gathering type skill and the other a production type skill, with the first new skill being the gathering one. I could imagine divination involving gathering/storing some form of divine energy, which we could later use in the production skill to use in enchanting/enhancing our gear? Sounds intriguing either way.
  3. No point linking HLF Threads, they don't load even if you're logged into forums. Also you should be a JMod.
  4. Agreed, although that would be par for the course based on their recent behaviour.
  5. The issue being that with all the developer time they have invested into the EoC already, giving up on it now would represent a pretty large waste of resources.

I think it would be great if all 3 combat styles were equal, and except in a few special cases such as glacors or ice strykes, creatures are equally weak to all 3 styles, letting the player choose whichever style of combat appeals to them. Maybe then you'd see some variety. Right now everyone uses the same gear and style at bosses. How is that any different from pre eoc? Everyone wore ranged gear and chaotic crossbow at Nex, everyone wore mage gear and a zspear at Corp, everyone wore straight melee gear at Bandos, everyone wore straight ranged at Armadyl, and straight mage at glacors. Pre eoc combat was plenty varied in PVM. All they've done is change what gear everyone uses at each boss. If almost everything is weak to all 3 styles, maybe we'll start to see mixed Nex teams including mages, rangers and melee'rs. Which would be much more preferable to me than the current system.

Not only was my so-called diatribe completely vindicated, but apparently their incompetence managed to exceed any and all predictions. But, hey, what do I know? I'm just a bitter guy! :wink: You don't get credit for predicting Jagex will [bleep] everything up over and over and over again. That's like asking for credit for predicting the sun will rise tomorrow.

Nearly half the RS population is playing the 07 servers rather than the EoC, and I can guarantee you that at the bare minimum enough of the people playing the live game miss when combat wasn't a buggy, ever changing mess and would vote for the return of a combat system where difficulty in bossing came from knowledge of the mechanics and twitch gameplay, rather than arbitrary changes to player accuracy and boss HP. A vote to keep the live game minus the EoC would be a runaway success.
  9. This hybrid thing makes no sense whatsoever. If I equip a completionist cape, I do not expect my block chance versus ranged to decrease by 10-11%. Yet that is what happens.

  11. The difference between Bandos and Torva's damage boost is trivial to the point of negligible. Other than cosmeticscape, there really isn't any point to owning nex sets right now.

  13. I go from a steady 60 fps with max settings except shadows disabled, to 10 fps with dynamic shadows enabled.

  15. Well, at least Drygore is no longer a combat class of its own :P They are fixing that as we speak/type.
  16. KK takes much longer now, so rip those xp rates. Also you have to use ranged on WFS now not drygores.
  17. 2H level 99 weapon is now worse than what a 1H level 90 weapon was.
  18. All weapons are significantly less accurate now, drygores in particular.
  19. Bandos already is better than port armour for slayer, and based on the wording in the article, it will remain better. Tank gear is not necessary in Runescape. Until Jagex realize that, they will continue to confine high level gear such as ports to cosmetic only, which is sad.
  20. They're kind of meh to me, although since they do offer competitive xp rates for 72-80 hunter, I guess they won't end up as completely dead content once everyone's done the comp req/got the upgraded stick.
  21. Yeah EoC made low levelled combat and combat based activities much less accessible. Which is a problem, as I imagine new players who never got to grips with and enjoyed the old combat system would probably like the EoC style of combat more than the wider RS community. Low levelled gameplay in general could do with an overhaul. That burthorpe tutorial is both boring and useless for a start.
