Got a new router last week, figured why not try staking again. Long story short: Still got drygores and some basic gear. Surprisingly I'm not even feeling pissed off/angry. Maybe that'll kick in later :) -
Druv's goals and achievements - 80M RC

Do you do Kalphite tasks at KK? Can be a bit of a pain to get a team (since you have to be the attacker), but nice xp/hr if you can (150 to 250k+ slay/hr depending how good your team is) -
If you're going for xp, just ask yourself will my not picking up a couple of pieces of food as I'm running through rooms (used to be lossless to pick food up between attack turns, but EoC) save 13% or w/e of the floor time. In almost any situation I can think of bar a C1 it is worth picking food up for xp. But many people dgaf about dg xp and are in it for the floor times instead, in which case dieing can be faster sometimes. Although you really do have to put a lot of thought, effort and planning into managing a death in EoC dg.

The real question is does he act so stupid on purpose or not. IMO he's far too convincing to be acting and is actually that thick. -
Unless of course you value exp in range or melee then this is true. Also aviansie tasks can be done at kree, greater demon tasks at Kril and black dragon tasks at the QBD if you need or want cash. Drygore really is the best just about everywhere. Even on glakkers they're almost as effective as fire surge/bloodfire barrage. You get magic and defence by barraging. Attack and strength come from the drygore tasks and training pure combat after 99 slayer. The increase in slayer xp/hr from barraging over using drygores is so significant that even if you still need att/str xp, you should still barrage most tasks. Referring to slayer only of course. In PVM you should use drygores in almost every situation.

People still don't fear going in the wilderness for this. If you die you lose 5 minutes of time. Whoop de whoop. And no one wears equipment because the death penalty is obviously losing all of that equipment. There's no point risking non welfare gear to give you a better chance of surviving when you're only going to lose a few minutes of time anyway. Plus every single pker I've seen so far is in royal or some of the new low level mage gear. They risk a pittance to earn a pittance. You won't see large groups of half decent PK'rs killing people, or mains killing PK'rs, until the people looting tents and the welfare PK'rs start to risk more. And since there is no motivation for those players to risk more, this will just end up as a skilling activity with the minor annoyance of dieing once every couple of days, and isn't really going to revive any real PVP in EoCscape.

Ignore the combat triangle on almost everything. You don't use drygores on most tasks - you barrage them. It is far faster. E.g. abyssal demons in the slayer tower with a contract and Morytania Legs 4 are over 300k slay xp/hr. Anything that is highly resistant to magic (read: weak to ranged) you should use drygores on with the sole exception of Waterfiends. Use momentum when barraging, but use abilities with drygores. Also make sure to do Kalphite tasks at KK.

<3 Mount and Blade Warband :D I spent about 2 months playing that last summer when I 'quit' RS, mostly the Native Expansion mod.

Amusing, yet cheating is cheating. Don't worry, I won't commit to memory that gibberish. I'm a legitimate player and I solo with dailies and clean my dungeons. Not sure if just ignorant, or ignorant and trolling :) Also you should add Bing12342001, I feel you'd get along swimmingly.

504 Glacors killed 2 Glaivens 67 shards of armadyl They're actually quite relaxing in eoc, no messing around with prayer/gear switches required. -
Them tards told me the reason was less xp as they gave me the heave [garden tool]. Of course I was happy to go since I was tired of carrying them since they didn't know how to kill mobs. But, if you got a bug to abuse, please share. I'd love to hear about how "xp off" bugs out the random aspect of the dungeon creation algorithm. I'll even credit you in the bug abuse report. It isn't a bug. If one player in the party has xp share on, you split the xp gained from the door between other players. This makes it much harder to determine how much xp the door would have given you. Skill doors give xp: 5L+10 where L = level. Doors on the critical path must be between the maximum level in that skill in the party, and 9 below that. So if I'm maxed and I see a thieving door gives me a 300 xp drop, then I know it's bonus. However, if one player in the team has shared xp on, unless the entire team has exactly the same levels (read: all maxed) you can't use this to determine the critical path. Since knowing which paths are bonus and which is crit is obviously very important, that's why having xp share on results in a kick.

I've already explained its flaws on several threads over many years, and repeated the claim in on this very page. My point is that you can have someone who's played 2,000 games of Castle Wars and someone who's played 20 games of Castle Wars. It's entirely plausible for the person who's played twenty games to better at playing Castle Wars than the person who's played 2,000 games of Castle Wars, yet they receive the same reward after each game. Therefore, we realise that the Castle Wars capes have nothing to do with the player's skill and more to do with the sheer amount of time they've played it; your first game of Castle Wars has the potential to be just as difficult as your 2,000th. The only other statement the cape can say is "This person has played Castle Wars"... well, they've played Castle Wars once, why play it another few thousand times to emphasise that point? What the Castle Wars cape requirement is, is a very cynical attempt at artificially drawing out the game's endgame by making the player repeat the same arduous task over and over and over again for many hundreds of hours. Firstly, CW isn't endgame content - the only content in RS that ever approached end game standards was Nex, but EoC turned that into low level content too. Secondly, RS has always been about time invested. Why do you expect CWars to be any different? I agree that other minigames should be added to trim. But not to reduce the CWars requirement - that should be left alone. Those other minigames should be added to make the trimmed completionist cape be an item that only real completionist's can obtain.

Except that 120 dungeoneering/104m xp takes less than half the time (less than a quarter if you win 50%, less than a tenth with challenges, but that's a stretch), you get rewards, you get combat and skill xp, and your winning or losing doesn't have to depend on others? 100mil xp gets you far more rewards than you will ever need in a million years. The second part about not depending on a team is laughable. You can solo for half xp, which used to be like a 1/4 up until last winter. Go on w77 right now and deal with them tards. They boot you if you have xp share on because they think they get less xp. Just lol. Going to love some of the ole cade king sabo in cw now for my favorite lvl 120 elite piles of dung. :P LMFAO. "Them tards" boot you for having shared xp on because it makes it harder to determine the critical path, it has nothing to do with xp :) And the majority of my larges in W77 were 8-15 minutes, which is a great xp/hr rate as far as I'm concerned.
-
What exactly are the flaws then? As you say, this is not a personal issue, so your personal opinion that it takes too long is therefore a non issue. Objectively, what is wrong with the CW requirement requiring so much time? As I said earlier, I have problems with it - just not with how long it takes.
-
If it's too much, accept the trimmed comp cape is too much for you. Do you feel compelled to get 200M xp in every skill just because that's the upper limit on skilling? If not, why do you feel compelled to obtain the item that represents the upper limit on completion?
-
I don't see the problem with the length of time the Cwars req takes - there should be stuff that is out of reach of the vast majority of players. My problems are: 1. Stacking teams 2. The inevitable rise of FC's selling CW wins 3. They have done nothing to address EoC dealing the final blow to competitive Cwars.

Stacking.

I got a mask of the abyss in the very rare slot today. Maybe they made it so everyone wins a very rare or something in the hopes it'll encourage people to buy spins? -
Welcome to the wilderness. Whiners get punished \:D/ I wasn't whining at the time of that post, I was saying I like the idea. Although it's now pissing me off.

Finally. -
44 shards 1 pair of Glaivens. A guy called propaz got 4 steads in one trip (this was ages ago) although he probably killed 10k+ glacors in total. QBD is better for steady income. (Although the shards are steady income, just all of the pay off is at the end)
