See you in 2 weeks.

DG is hardly advanced, it's just as repetitive as other skills, it just takes longer before you realize. In the end all it comes down to is level mod and the floor layout.

Would also like to know ^

I'm not sure how this quest is going to work, I assumed elements of other quests - WGS, RoTM and the other Mahjarrat quests (esp. bringing Zaros back) would play a fairly significant role. Unless the actual quest is split into a modular structure as well as the rewards, I'm not sure how well linked into current quests it's going to be. I hope it comes out on Tuesday not Monday, I'll be busy on Monday and too tempted to look at spoilers :s

Livid & Dg only real requirements left. Livid is depressing af though, so will probably take me a few weeks still. -
You say stake like I don't get better odds being pidded with drygores than I did hosting. (Frosty was 57/43)

No, you can afk for several minutes at a time on eocscape cooking rocktails or at Artisans Workshop, or cutting ivy. Players on 07 scape actually have to play the game, I went afk whilst smelting bars for a minute the other day and ended up in Lumbridge. In addition to death actually meaning something in 07scape, the lack of so many make X options and the ability to actually get greater rewards for putting greater effort in using efficient skilling methods (which Jagex has killed in modern RS) all encourage people to pay attention and actually play the 07 servers whilst afking the EoC game. There is no punishement for afking in the EoC game, and very few skills reward you for paying attention any more. (Faster rocktails using the new interface is all I can think of) As for the bot thing, yes the bot developers will eventually come up with something that will take Jagex several months and broken promises to fix for two weeks. I was simply pointing out that the number of actual players on the EoC is inflated atm compared to the people playing 07. -

Oh I know, I was only claiming to speak for a very limited group of people who aren't at all representative of modern RS as a whole. I do still play EoCscape - still finishing off comp requirements and definitely want to do the new quest. But I'm finishing comp stuff off because I'm 98% of the way there and it seems a shame not to go the whole way, not because I really want it. I would question the half at best statement however. Using the playercount right now, 53K online in total, of whom 24k are on 07 scape. And some of those on 07 scape are doing afk activities on EoCscape as well. But the main point is that if you visit any bot forum, there are currently no working bot clients for 2007 scape. All the bot sites need to develop a new API for it first (whatever one of those is, they make it sound like a big deal). I'm sure a very small number of people have their own personal clients, but the vast majority of players on 07scape right now are just that - players. If you subtract the bots from the 29k EoCscape count, I doubt you'd still have over 24k. Edit: On a completely unrelated side not, whilst I was looking through the bot forums, I found this thread Found it slightly amusing that even botters are nostalgic :) -

I'm having a great time in the 07 servers. It's nice to see most of my friends actually being excited about the game again. From my friends, the general attitude was basically that they've given up on the game, including some people with 2-3B+ xp. It's nice to have a positive atmosphere about the game again, compared to the cesspit of negativity that surrounds EoCscape. -
The guy in the middle at the end looks to be wearing an ancient ceremonial mask to me.
-
The guy in the middle looks more 'rocky' to me, and one the on the left made of a more metallic type substance like the Tzhaar and TokHaar... although the green fissures running through it are similar to the ones running through the thing that held the stone in it's original resting place. Not sure :P
-
This is all kinds of awesome. Out of these three: Which one is supposed to be Jas? I guess the middle one. The one on the left reminds me of the TzHaar and Tok Haar, so I guess that one is responsible for the Elder Kiln. And the one on the right looks to be the creator of the Dramen tree, and by extension what are now known as the fairy ring networks.

We only need to hit 480k though. One of the marks said they'd make up a difference of around 20k. -
Dark Lust is #1 on 07 now.
-
Still waiting on some skiller who also stakes to do 200M cons in a day with demonic thrones. Dark Lust is the best candidate for it afaik. But yeah, cons is a [bleep] to train atm. I basically did 99 in a day on BXP with mahogany tables, and the experience was so awful I've barely touched the skill since. Once it gets easyscaped, which it inevitably will, people will start training it more. I think the rewards are quite useful compared to most 99s. Things like the gilded altar and the portal room are actually pretty handy, I certainly prefer them over whatever I can do with firemaking.

I still use the arrow keys even though I knew about the scroll button...I remember spazzing my screen about a bit with it when it was released and thought it was some sort of novelty thing, didn't realize it was actually useable :L -
We recently introduced the next phase of our anti-bot technology Botwatch, and it's already showing its teeth in the battle against botting activity in RuneScape. Last night alone, we conducted a mass ban of no less than 20,000 gold farming accounts. This is a huge blow against gold farming, and you should see the difference in game right away. These new anti-bot systems aren’t limited to gold farmers, however - users of 3rd party clients and botting software are also being aggressively targeted by the newly updated Botwatch. Of course, this is just one victory in the ongoing war against botting. Our zero-tolerance policy stands, and we won't rest while botting and gold-farming exists in your game. It's an ever-evolving race, but with hard work and the support of the community, we'll stay well ahead of the game. We're already working on the next phase of anti-bot tech, which we're looking forward to rolling out over the coming months. The RuneScape Team ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I checked a few common spots last night when I heard about this, and frost dragons and green/blue were both almost completely clear. Seems like it's had at least some impact. Hopefully it won't be something that'll get overturned in two weeks (and not just because I have 300k frosties :P)

It's not something I personally use as I value my time on EoCScape far, far higher than 30M/hr. But I figured best to let people know about it so they have a chance to make some quick gp. -

No it isn't. They explicitly stated that cross server trading is allowed :) -

Just a quick heads up. Since cross server trading is allowed, and since 07 gp is so valuable right now, even people who still play EoCscape and dont want to touch these servers might want to listen to this. Right now, you can get 30k/hr in 07 by thieving silk. As of now, 30k in 07 servers can be exchanged for 30M EoC GP at any gold selling site, or with other players. This means basically anyone willing to put 30 mins or so into getting 20 thieving on the 07 servers can make 30M/hr on the EoC. Combat training supplies are also in very high demand; making and selling iron knives on 07 servers for EoC gold is about 24M/hr. -

This is awesome :P Definitely something I'll be sticking too, not to say that I won't play on EoCscape, still want to polish the last couple of reqs off for comp. -

Best way to deal with rares would be if they had some way of tracking which accounts are Classic Veterans, and giving them a random selection. Yes it wouldn't be fair, but it'll be the closest thing to emulating the rare market in 07 that I can think of.
