  1. I think the problem most trimmers had with it, is that the cwars requirement was the only thing that really stopped people from going after trim. Not a chance in hell I'd have done 5k games, but depending on how easy the requirement is made, I might go for trim now. I imagine plenty of people feel the same.
  2. You'll get laughed out of most teams without drygores, overloads, turm etc. That said, it's perfectly possible to 4-6 man it in void and a royal crossbow, and still get half decent gp/hr. Also, killing Nex is pretty decent blues and crims. So if you can get a team that's OK with using cheaper equipment, it should be NP. Just follow what other people are doing on each phase until you get the hang of it. The one big thing to know is to use berserk and a maul if you don't have drygores on the blood phase, not doing so usually gets you kicked. Good luck I guess.
  3. The whole can't multilog your EoCscape character and your 2007scape character thing has worked out pretty well for Jagex. Intentionally or not, now people who want to play both at the same time have to buy membership for EoCscape on a brand new acc as well.
  4. I was talking about the next players to get 200M all skills in modern RS :P
  5. Thinking we should move on from this now and start talking about 200M all skills again. No, Suomi's personality and RSN is not relevant to that. How do people think the two new skills will affect the 2nd and 3rd players to 200M all skills? The resource gathering skill probably won't be an issue, as following the recent trend it'll be AFK and > 100k xp/hr, but the buyable one could cause greater problems for those who don't rely on donations. Unless Drumgun etc. have enough stocked up already. Thoughts?
  6. You don't understand it, do you? What transpired, is not being opposed on the grounds that Suomi merely broke RS/Jagex rules; people aren't complaining because Suomi refused to toe the Jagex line; rather we are of the mind that what Suomi did was unconscionable on ethical and social grounds. One should not go around accepting acts of gratitude from people and then badmouth them treacherously and with juvenility on Youtube. In one of the rare times that Jagex actually decided to show some generosity to someone from from the community, that someone decided that they would much rather stab them in the back in front of an internet audience. It's simply wrong to do socially, and ethically; it has nothing to do with the game. Hence, why, even people like me and others who are typically much more consistent and vociferous critics of Jagex than Suomi is, are supporting Jagex in this instance. Just because someone is kind to you, that doesn't mean you should change how you think. Yes Jagex offering Suomi a free flight to England was gracious on their part. Yes Suomi flaming them on YT was a bit over the top compared to the standard "[bleep] Jagex, [bleep] SoF, [bleep] insertupdatehere." But if that's how he feels towards Jagex, why should he change his stance based on the offer of a free flight? Would that not be almost as bad according to your evidently oh so stringent moral standards? If he was effectively bribed into saying things other than what he actually felt? I remember Runeshark offering to livestream your 5B xp party Suomi. Even if you cannot come to England for whatever reason, you could still get 5B xp that way, if the future trip to Jagex doesn't pan out either. No need to let such a small issue get in the way of the culmination of however many years of playing.
  7. If money wasn't an issue, you could always meet up with Jake and James/Simon without any Jagex involvement at all. It'd still be a massive event, especially as Runeshark would probably livestream it, and you wouldn't be forced to toe the Jagex line or else.
  8. Being a pompous jerk isn't against the rules though. Not that the rules mean anything anymore, but you get the point.
  9. Exactly this. I voted for 2007 servers. Not 2007 servers that are eventually going to get turned into the current mess.
  10. I don't really see how they are doing everything possible about bots. Hiring more staff to deal with the problem is always a possibility, even if it isn't financially sensible for them. I expect Jagex to take the first step in treating their players with respect. They're the ones making the money here, not us. Well not most of us anyhow. 2012 was a shit year, and I stand by that. It was a catastrophe. Endless promotions, the introduction of Real World Trading, double experience for 48 hours, reworked content rather than new content, turning holiday events into a joke, the whole lot of it. So when I talk about Jagex as an entity, they will have to do a lot this year for me talk about them with respect. I can still recognize when an individual JMod does something worthwhile however. As for Sylpheed, feel free to PM me if you want to discuss how your opinionated bullshit is worth more than my opinionated bullshit. Making blanket statements such as "Everything you write on this forum is just full of contempt and opinionated bullshit." tends to make you look a tad silly, as it rather easy to find posts of mine that aren't full of contempt and opinionated bullshit. Such as: "If the servers went down for whatever reason, when they were brought back up, would the first tick occur immediately or after the first period associated with the tick? If it occurred immediately, that breaks the idea of representing ticks as units of time." "Same. Hoping html5 is another RS->RSHD type change." And over 90% of the posts you'll find here. (Link doesnt work but check my profile to see post history.) Science 101: Never extrapolate from a single data point.
  11. When did runeshark open a video with "[bleep] you, [bleep] you jagex, you [bleep]ers, [bleep]ing everthing up" Not necessarily in the opening, but they've said "[bleep] SoF" or words to that effect in their livestreams before. You are implying Jagex deserve player's respect? Blocking people from their YT channel who post politely worded criticism which gets the top comment doesn't strike me as the behaviour of a company that deserves my respect. And after the piece of shit that was 2012? After that catastrophe they have a long way to go before I'd talk to and about them with any degree of respect. There's a gigantic difference between criticizing an aspect of the game and just saying "[bleep] JaGex", honestly what does he expect when he acts like that? It amazes me how immature the player base is about everything. I'm not surprised JaGex gets sick of having to put up with the same shit over and over again, it's always "omfg y u no get rid of botz" "Sol suckz!!!" "ffs update is shit" and it never goes away. Yes JaGex makes a lot of mistakes, but if you look at the sea of crap in the youtube comments I can hardly blame them for assuming a lot of the playerbase is retarded. For people who've spent 100s of days straight playing one of JaGex's games you guys really hate showing any scrap of appreciation. Turning reasonable arguments into caricatures like this, "it's always "omfg y u no get rid of botz" "Sol suckz!!!" "ffs update is shit" doesn't achieve anything. People do have a right to expect bots to be dealt with, it is getting completely out of hand. There are now Jad bots for instance. Not sure if you meant Sol or Sof, if you meant sof, well it does suck. They took one of the fundamental rules RS was built on, which had been around for years and years, and turned it into a joke, as well as opening up the markets to anyone with an excess of RSGP. "Well if they can do it..." Equally, if people dislike an update, they are allowed to complain about it. That's what you do when you aren't satisfied with a product you have paid/are paying for. And I do show appreciation. Mod Edam has been working on fixing PoP armour degrade times; I found the thread on RSOF where he'd posted he had a fix and it was being QA'd, and I thanked him for it. If I told, say River Island that I'd had repeated problems with their clothing and was thinking about stopping shopping with them, I'd get a reasonable, polite response asking about what they could do to keep my custom. Someone told Jagex in a YT comment basically the same thing, that they disliked the EoC and the general direction the game was going and were going to quit. The JMod response? "Bye then." Yes, they have to put up with a lot of shit. But that's part of their job. There is no excuse for such a lack of professional behaviour and basic respect to their customers. So why should their customers show respect in return? As people are so keen to point out, Jagex is no longer ran by people who love the game; they are now a company looking to maximize profits. So I'll hold them to the same standards I'd hold any other company, and right now they're sadly lacking. It's a real shame that some JMod took offence at what Suomi said; from a business perspective too. It would have been a nice little PR stunt to have him get 5B on livestream with them.

  13. He didn't say anything that James from Runeshark hasn't said several times before to a far larger sub base, but Jagex are still up their arses. Seems like someone at Jagex was in a bad mood and is throwing a bit of a tantrum to me.
  14. [12:07:10] <12@Jakey> Tell him im fine and know about it fall
  15. Jake is already on the train... RIP him if this isn't a troll :P
  16. Tbh I think this is a troll, don't think even Jagex would be that petty.
  17. Do it without Jagex. Will be far better without almost being sponsored by them as far as I see it.
  18. If the servers went down for whatever reason, when they were brought back up, would the first tick occur immediately or after the first period associated with the tick? If it occurred immediately, that breaks the idea of representing ticks as units of time.
  19. PMod mute or reported mute? It's only 48 hrs if it's a PMod one, and whenever I got PMod muted I just emailed billing support and was un-muted within a few hours.
  20. Accounts. Assuming, of course, 1 vote/account which may not have been the case I understand to begin with (cache clear etc). That's misinformation spread by people with trouble reading. If you do clear cache/cookies etc. the message reads: Thank you, you have already registered your support, which is not the case the first time you vote and it actually does register your vote.
  21. Same. Hoping html5 is another RS->RSHD type change.
  22. I'll be OK paying $15 (£10 ish?) a month for it. But I think a lot of people won't want to pay that much. Hopefully means there's a lower demand for gold and the goldfarming bots will stick to the main servers.
  23. Where are you getting these numbers? http://services.runescape.com/m=poll/c=j24nlG5K18o/rs2007-server And I picked the list up from Sy_Accursed a couple hours ago
