Why not. I miss the time when higher level gear was just straight up better. Now they have to attach all these caveats to it because they're scared they might cause Nex gear to drop in price. It's been two years. It's about time we got something that was absolutely superior to Nex gear in every way.

Luke was ddos'd for approximately 5B. Later, there was a video showing him taking 1.3B from a maxed player in a trust trade. He was afraid of being ddos'd again, and the person trusted him to pay out the 1.3B if he won the stake, as he was a PMod, and has been staking for years and most people trust him. He'd also paid the guy who was trusting him the money in the past. The video was inconclusive, it just showed Luke taking the 1.3B, but the person who recorded it claimed that Luke ran off with the money. The person who was supposedly scammed made a thread on the HLF, and a JMod replied with Now he's banned. There's no way he got banned for taking the other guy's money, as any activity involving trust trading is entirely the fault of the person offering the money. At worst he would have been de-modded for that. The only thing I can think of is that he did something with the 1.3B that was bannable.

I've not had a problem finding a team for this yet in W24. Last one we did had nearly 20 people there.

You get seeds based on which Jadinko you have attracted, and I think draconic has the best chance of getting samaden/erzille/ugune so I assume draconic.

Re-rolls, people rushing to pincers without doing many upgrades, etc... I've not really missed any voyages ina day though. bowl slowed me down being 9 hour voyages etc meaning 6-8 a day Did you exploit the voyage re-rolls method?

What is your simulation of, and would the accurate>aggressive hold true boxing? i.e. both players are 99 att/str/def but with no equipment/prayer/other buffs. Assuming you have PID. Irrelevant now, but most stakers used accurate and aggressive styles randomly when switching, would be interesting if one was actually superior.

I take back what I said earlier, if you get the card that lets you add a medium lamp to your current reward you're looking at over 150k dg xp. Not too shabby at all. They definitely need to introduce some non dg xp related reward though, these were supposed to contain Bilrach's wealth after all. Personally I find it quite enjoyable, especially the card aspect of it at the end. If you put the work in for 1st place, you're basically guaranteed a nice reward, but for the people in the middle it is quite interesting.

The rewards are a bit lacklustre (98k dg xp from the huge lamp @ 117) but it's a bit of fun.

Outside of rs is real life. Hardly, there is plenty of stuff that is outside of RS but isn't part of real life. Other MMOs, pen and paper RPGs etc. Its quite obvious that the old rwt rule is meant to mean you shouldn't exchange something outside rs for something inside rs. The term "real life" is just a simple term chosen because it fits the most foreseeable types of rwt. I see what you mean, yeah I guess I was wrong and Alkan's shoutouts would fall under RWT. I disagree. The people going on about 2006 have always been there. Playing RS in 2006 was just as fun as playing in 2012, it was just different. It took the EoC to garner a significant enough volume of negative feedback for people to start doing this sort of thing. If you took the EoC out of it and just went for 2006 servers, I think most of the support for alternative servers would die down.

People wanting a pre-eoc server isn't nostalgia. EoC only went live a couple of months ago, I'm perfectly capable of objectively remembering the improvements and shortcomings that system had over the EoC. For me, there are vastly more positives than negatives of pre-EoC to post EoC, so I will support anything that lets me play without the EoC. Even though I think the chances of anything like that happening are slim. Edit: didn't realize I'd already posted in this thread, at least I'm consistent :L

If you were being sarcastic, ignore the below. Buying spins is absolutely RWT. You are paying real money for an in game advantage. However Jagex twist their rules to get around it is irrelevant. Youtube shoutouts are not RWT. Alkan doesn't pay real money for his gp, he just advertises on his channel. You don't need to be successful IRL to have a successful YT channel. You do have to be at least moderately wealthy irl to afford to buy a lot of spins like the guy in that pic. I'm using the real version of the RWT rule here, as in "we don't want a player's real life status to affect their status in game." The bullshit Jagex twisted that rule into is a joke and should be ignored as far as I'm concerned.

I would like a pre-eoc server. As for the people trying to push this off as people complaining after every update, well the EoC was the biggest change to the game since Classic->RS2. Brushing it off as just another wave of complaining is a rather silly thing to do. I doubt they'll maintain servers that are both post and pre eoc, due to the practical limitations. That doesn't mean I can't want them to, however. Also, this isn't nostalgia. I can remember quite clearly what the game was like 3-4 months ago. And I would prefer that combat system by far to the new system. I think they pushed the beta into the live game when it clearly wasn't ready because they realized that most of the time they were updating the beta due to feedback, they were making the game closer and closer to the live game at the time, and wanted to get it out there before they had to confront the truth that the EoC was a vast waste of resources. I expect the reason 2012 was so full of shit until PoP was because of the EoC.

Looking forward to the quest. Will also be nice if they make doing tasks in the slayer tower worthwhile again. Looks like a nice month.

Fall Star came from Chade Fallstar in Robin Hobb's assassin books (I don't remember the name of the series). The name I wanted had no space, but that one was taken. ElanMorin came from Elan Morin Tedronai from the Wheel of time. Obviously as I wanted the RSN with the space this time, that one was taken >.<

I was obviously referring to the microtransacting nature of the Squeal in a structural sense rather than narrowly focusing on the Cash bags. What I was saying was, sure, they've sort of balanced the smaller rewards, but the big jackpot still remains. After all, people who purchase lots of spins do so in the hopes of acquiring the 200M reward, not the 50K one. It's true that the 200M is rarely won, but the principle still remains. They haven't balanced the lower rewards. The 10k cash bags are as common as 1k and 5k used to be. The 100k cash bag is in the uncommon slot, making it as common as the 50k used to be. And the 1M cash bag is in the rare slot, not the super rare, meaning the 1M bag has basically replaced the 500k reward. The 200M is so rare I actually don't care about it. I wonder if Jagex realize we need money sinks, not an increased money influx.

However, scientific method requires you be able to reproduce the same results. Woox cannot, and so I say it is not a legitimate solo. A solo of the KK without the 1hko attack working properly is no better than if the KK did not attack him at all. It might as well be a completely different boss. Jagex released the boss with a rotating set of attacks. That was a conscious design decision. There is no argument here. Fundamental scientific laws don't change in between experiments conducted under the same conditions. The universe doesn't get patched and updated. You can't expect to apply the same level of rigour to an MMO.
