Defense matters even less in eoc than pre eoc. You can tank Nex/KK quite happily in void with defensive abilities, and slayer, combat training and other bosses still have 0 use for defence, especially since drygorescape made SS so good, even more so when combined with the vampyrism aura and scrimshaw. Also dg stuff (with a couple of minor exceptions such as Blink) hits a lot less frequently and without as much damage. Both are decent articles however. I'd disagree with the article "The Future" in that many of these changes are coming too quickly and have been too radical, in my opinion. But I'm still looking forward to RS3, the game could do with a new lick of paint graphically. Plus it was nice to read something positive for a change! (The general atmosphere about anything serious on HLF is basically despair, and TIF can be pretty negative a lot of the time too.) Thanks for the articles. :D

I always played Demolition for nukes :P Nice long games, and it's nice to save CG or AC130 for the start of the next round so you get the full team in their spawn rather than being spread out. Favourite maps were Scrapyard and Favela, both were good with the TAR 21.

I quite like seasinger and tetsu, although I did prefer the previous colour of Tetsu. Death lotus looks decidedly meh, not necessarily in that it's not flashy etc. it just looks a bit drab and boring.

A friend (of mine, not the player) did a warband and got 110K mining xp from it for 5-10 minutes. Probably worth doing if they don't die out in a week.

I heard they didn't double the slayer xp, only the LP. Which wouldn't surprise me at all given the recent track record of incompetency.

No idea, it is ofc possible that they got that xp from SW. (Not effigies as no investigate xp). It just seems unlikely.

The ones that just started returning to frost dragons and brutal greens beg to differ. As usual, it was only a temporary fix, and we'll have to go another 9 months till the next 2-3 week fix. As for the hiscores, I imagine official tracking (something they've said they want to do in the past) and more hiscores (e.g. boss kills) will be added, as well as improving the current ones with basic features such as searching by rank, which they used to have but removed at some point because Jagex.

Around 25B, I peaked at 34 but decided to leave once I had a particularly bad run of luck instead of continuing and possibly getting cleaned :P Staking is still viable post eoc, but you're looking at 5-25 people at the arena nowadays as opposed to the 100+ pre EoC. EoC didn't just kill pking, it destroyed PvP in general :sad:

Wouldn't it be faster to just find another game to begin with, where it's not against the rules and there's no risk to get banned for it? If they really can't enjoy RS without gambling as you said. He might as well carry on, Jagex are not exactly known for enforcing their rules.

If bank >= 100M then stake. I'm guessing the reason all those drops don't add up is something similar to the above? :P

Or: It's a video game. If you can't enjoy RS without gambling, then ignore that rule. It is after all just a game. If you get banned, find another game.

That seems to imply that 999134's a rwter...? :wall: Yeah I was referring to honestly losing a large amount of money in a short space of time, not anything to do with rwt.

But this isn't actually true. Pidded staking with drygores I have a bigger advantage than I did hosting frosty flowers. There is then the whole host of bugs and other questionable activities that come with staking. DDosing, Xlogging and general bug abuse are prevalent. And I can guarantee you that RWT from staking is both a bigger problem than RWT from dicing/flowers was, and much harder to detect to the point of being impossible to detect if done correctly. For reference, the chance of the host winning with frosty flowers was 59%, based on over 300K flowers.
